I have a quick question for you.......we all know the qualities of Edward Cullen, they have been repeatedly mentioned by all of us in one way or the other. Things like him being a gentleman, a die hard romantic, protective towards Bella, etc, etc. But I'd really like to know some of the weaknesses possessed by this super cool vampire. I know its hard to find faults in him but I am sure you'd find certain drawbacks in him which make him human.........like any other guy. Would you like to share some of your thoughts regarding this?

I think Edward Cullen does have certain faults, for example:

1)over possesivness:

It's cute that he is protective of Bella, but sometimes he just becomes wayy too possesive. For example, in Eclipse, he was forbidding Bella to meet Jacob. Later, he realized his mistake and changed his attitude, but even then he treated Bella like a baby, and if I were in Bella's place, I would be annoyed by that.

2)pre-judice:

Well, this is not only his fault. Even Jacob and pretty the much the whole werewolf clan were prejudice against vampires. But in the start, Edward was really prejudice towards Jacob and forbid him from being near Bella because he was dangerous, even though, vampires could be as easily dangerous as well. However, again later, he realized his mistake. So I guess I can't really count that as a fault lol 😆

3) critical thinking:

It's not really a fault, actually it's not a fault at all. But when I was reading Midnight Sun, sometimes his thoughts just got wayy too complicated for me to understand. 😕. That is why Bella is like my FAV FAV character, because I can relate to her more and understand her thoughts better 😊

I'll now come to some other discussion topics, as I'd love to share your thoughts on them again. First of all, I would like to tell you that I adore Bella's character as well, I can completely relate to it.......most of the times if not everytime. And, I love Alice too, she is a very sweet and funny character. The way she emotionally blackmails everyone around her, and even argues or just her simple gestures.......the dancing, the hyper jovial nature.......makes her a unique personality. I'd love a friend like her myself.

Okay, so my question is - What do you think of Jacob as a friend and as a person in general? I am not sure if you are in favour of Jacob, but I'd still like to know what you think about him? He's undoubtedly very human in nature, hardly a teenager. He's impulsive, and has had his share of mistakes. But he posseses some qualities which even Edward doesn't have. Can you think of any of those? I think Jacob is the kind of guy, I would love to have as a best friend. Just like Edward can be the perfect boyfriend, Jacob can be the perfect guy best friend, who will be there for you in your toughest times. There are several qualities about him that I love and that Edward does not have. One is you already mentioned, that he is more repectful towards Bella's feelings and trusts that she is a smart woman who can take care of herself. I also love how he is soo funny, even in his thoughts, while reading Breaking Dawn I cracked up soo much. He is the kind of guy that can make anyone laugh, Edward does't really have that quality, he is more serious. Not that is bad, it's just that sometimesyou need a good laugh and someone to make you cheerfull and for that Jacob is perfect.

Another one is, consider the Volturi situation in "The New Moon". How do you think Edward would have behaved if he was in Jacob's position? Would he have allowed Bella to go to Italy on her own, even if she insisted on going to save her friend, and if she had repeatedly told him that it was necessary for her to go.....as well as very safe for her. Would he have let her go easily without following her or anything? Whatever he had done, would it have been better than what Jacob did? Basically comparing Jacob and Edward again. I don't mean any argument over Jacob and Eddie, just want to see if you compare them like that.......coz I usually compare both to analyze the various situations, and see how each would have behaved given that particular circumstance. See, now there you go again, If it would have been Edward, I am 99.9% sure he would never let Bella go alone. Maybe if Bella insisted enough, he would have atleast gone with her but never let her off on her own, or even with just Alice. Well, unless Alice and him were not related, then he would have not let her go with Alice either. But definately not alone.

I hope it all makes sense, I didn't realise that this all turned out to be quite long. Looking forward to what you have to say!
