Hi guys, I'm a new member here. I've read Harry Potter, and I'm totally obsessed with it, but I've never read Twilight. I mean to, but I can never find a way to get a copy.😭

Can someone please tell me what the story's basically about?

Basically in Twilight(1st) its about this teenaged girl Bella who moves to Forks from Phoniex and there she meets Edward and she falls in love with him but he's a vampire....but that doesnt stop her from loving him. They fall in love but James (who is a Hunter) becomes a threat and the Cullens (Edward's family) protect Bella

I dont want to give anything else away😳 and plus I havent read all the books...(only on the 2nd one)

I'm sorry if this offends anyone but I find your explanation rather sentimental and not very rational. It is silly to get so entangled with a book - which isn't even written by the person getting offended - that one feels "hurt" when someone says they dislike it. People have different choices - some will like it, some won't. When you don't place restrictions on those who like it, why do so on those who aren't so fond of it, but are willing to discuss a mutual interest? Reject it or accept it - that won't change anything. Plus, as you rightly said, this is the "Twilight forum". Twilight forum. Not Twilight-fanatics-only forum. 😛 Opinions should be welcome as is the purpose of a "forum".

Oh my god Dfinitely Twilight... Im a twilight addictonce i bought all 4 books i couldnt put them down and read one each day... I mean HP..... i love the book but i mean EB have more of reality aswell as the fictional part....

I dont understand how people can just make comments on how twilight is bad!!!

But it is the best... Beats HP anyday... In my opinion!

When u join a forum get prepared to see ur favouirites getting critisized....becasue, is this, after all not the purpose of a discussion forum? To express ur views?? 😕 I don't know why u are getting so much hyped up

Thank you everyone !!! My point exactly!!!!!!! I think Harry Potter is better, but I'm not trying to offende Twilight fans...I dont feel offended when you say you like Twilight better, but why should you feel insulted? It's kind of rude, you all didn't even write the book....

We all have our opinions just like you, dont we? Or are we not allowed that either? Twilight is good but thats it...

hmm.. every1 above who is saying there is no need for twilight to be hurt if sum1 says they dislike ur fav book is right to a certain extent..but the thing is..even though v didnt write the book..with the amount of time that v hav spent reading them thinking abt them - even in certain cases dreaming abt them - i do sort of start to see the characters of the book as my close friends, as sum1 and sumthing that i feel obliged to represent as well as defend....

especiallly with hp, its been out for more than 10 yyears, and many of its fans that mean have spent 10 years with it (woah its really been 10 years that i spent cherishing hpwow😳),

so fans do tend to REALLY get attached, to the limit of obsessed, with their fav books...i know i am completely out-of-limit obsessed with hp...so..for me..if sum1 who hasnt read hp says they dont like hp all that wizard magic is kid stuff all boring, etc, i wud be deeply hurt, bcuz hp's in my heart, i know its not boring, and i want to make others know just wat hp is...now if sum1 has read hp and still doesnt like it then i wud be hurt still, and for a while try to see if there was sumthing they didnt understand abt the story or any imp info they missed that they dont like it...becuz just the fact that sum1 doesnt like hp is hurting, but still at the end of day v all differ, our choices differ, v like diff things and juust becuz i am obsessed with a certain book doesnt mean others hav to be too...but still as an ardent and loyal fanatic i wud feel it is my duty to defend hp against any1 who says its nuthing...

so i can now understand twilight fans reactions to this topic as well...i hav posted so many msgs in this very threead all pro hp ...but i wont do that anymore cuz just like i wud feel bad if sum1 brings up that lotr beats hp.. even a twilight fan wud feel bad when v hp fans try to prove how much hp beats twilight by...even if its a fact that in term of sucess in terms of writing and story hp is better still it is hurting for twilight fans if i cum to twilight forum and start proving and summarizes how hp is better...

so....m sorry to any twilight fans if my posts offended or hurt any of u abt hp being better...i feel the point of this thread has been lost sumwhere and now its just turned out to be a battle ground for hp and twilight..and the place of all these posts shudve been the debate forum lolz..😆😆so yea all ya twilight lovers..i luv twilight as well..and as long as i am in twilight forum from now on i wont criticize twilight or try to prove that hp is better..😊

but for those of u who havent read HP PLZ DO...i mean i dont know how many times i hav written this but im willing to spend half my life writing this msg just to make any1 who hasnt read hp and has preconceieved notions abt it see just how magical it really is...so plz u non-hp readers READ HP...😭😭

ps: i still m not saying this is not an interesting topic or posts...so cud sum1 here lemme know if a topic like this has actually been opened in the debate mansion where v cud really bring out all our points to the FICTION battle field...well not really a battle field i also luv twilight so it cant be a battle field..just a book discussion field...or even a topic like Is HP really worth all that fame? a thread like that wud be interestig too..but i think that wud be a q for hp forum..😆
