Imran ends up saying things in anger that he may not mean. When he was accused of drinking in school his only regret was How that has effected Najma's dream so somehow it will play a role and Najma is his favorite student so he will end up listening to her somehow. Najma DID remind him of his daughter so there are more one way he will listen to their advice. But rejection/denial is the first step,I guess.
