Scenes in the past week that I LOVED.

So I just caught up with the past week's episodes. And I just had to make this post to talk about some of the moments that touched me.

This show continues to be so beautiful in the subtle ways they show Imran's concern for Najma/Mariyam. Mariyam breaking down the walls & moving a step further not only out of the house, but even in terms of fighting for her daughter's dreams. Younis is very real as well. He is just like the many people out there, who preach one thing but do another. I love how not only Najma, but even the other kids' comments/questions make him guilty. And the best thing - scenes are to the point. Not dragged too much.

Some beautiful scenes / scenes that stood out-

1. Imran cleaning Najma's shoes & the smile on his face while doing that. What a beautiful scene. He really loves her as though she is his own daughter. Imran is really a gem of a person. The little things he does for the people he cares about is so endearing. Its really sad that he, who appreciates another's kind word so much, has no one other than Mamu to love him unconditionally.

2. Imran's concern for his niece. And not thinking about himself. Yet again, another proof of what a selfless & loving person he is.

3. Mariyam offering the money to Imran. Such dignity in the scene, yet again. She offered him the money without making him feel that she was paying for all that he was doing, though of course Imran understood her gesture.

4. Waqar sticking up for Mariyam, against his mother. Beautiful bond. Even the kids are able to see that Mariyam is pure-hearted & would not do anything wrong, unlike their parents who preach one thing & do another.

5. Altaf giving it back to Younis. I LOVE the way he fought for Imran. Well choreographed, without it dragging too long with long heavy dialogues.

6. Imran imagining Mariyam & giving her flowers. Absolutely adorable. These two really have chemistry <3

7. Younis falling into the bed with Fiza & Waqar hugging him. AWWW. SOO CUTE. And all 3 of them going on & on about their own colour choice for the car. So real. So natural.

8. Imran's sincere 'thanks' to Mariyam. Couldn't be any more perfect.

Its interesting that unlike other shows, Mariyam is the one who has always gone out of the way be it to help Imran, or even noticing Imran right from when he moved in. She has been the one to make that first step.

I am really shocked, and sad that SP is taking this show off air. I like shows to be short & sweet, but this one shouldn't end so soon especially since the actual story is just starting. But oh well, if it really does end in 100 episodes, this show will remain in my memory as a good show that was pleasant, & did not drag at all.
