I also agree with this, now that you have mentioned it.

I'll tell you why. Cause basically, even if Malhar comes as himself, they don't have any proof against Avni. If we think that there is no HarThak planning, then how will they do the Avni parda fash? What proof do they have against her for almost killing Malhar and killing Ahir?

So I think Malhar has to come as someone else and they have to basically set a trap for Avni so she can confess her crimes.
