Probably they intend to have Anu prepare Goda for the case and train her to say the right things in court... but I hope Sarthak will be, if they do indeed come to that point, be intelligent enough to understand what's going on and prove Goda didn't get that law degree.

Mj seems indeed to be X one moment and Y the next.... it's difficult to understand him, his actions, the motivations behind them and what he's feeling and that may be part of the reason why some fans are feeling disconnected with the character post-leap... it's difficult to enter in the mind of a character when you're not given a proper picture and don't know their real motivations for doing something.
