Talking about this update i loved how Malhar stood for Kalyani and how indomitably he said "Toh bas, ab toh tumhara vishwaas jitne se mujhe koi nahi rok sakta." 😳

Part Four

SAMPADA had come to this house again. The house that housed most of her bad memories. Everything from her marriage to Malhar to every insult which had been bestowed upon her and her mother. She had never thought of this house as her home. She had not even thought of Malhar's house as her home. To her, her home was with Atharva, wherever he was, she was.

While this was her attempt at avenging herself, she had noticed the pleasant flush on Kalyani's face when she had exited that room. She was blushing and embarrassed about something. And then, Malhar walked put of the room shirtless. Even though she knew she shouldn't think like this, but even she knew that Malhar had been one fine specimen. He was a gift to womankind. With all those abs highlighted in his shirtless glory, she nearly swooned, but caught herself.

Coming to a sudden realisation, she finally noticed that Kalyani had rushed out of that room, blushing and now Malhar had came after her shirtless. She had no idea what the hell was going on between them. She was mostly sure Malhar was not in an actual relationship with Kalyani. That their's had been a marriage of convenience. That nothing had actually happened to establish a relationship between them, a relationship that existed between husbands and wives. She could only hope that it was not the case. Otherwise getting custody of Moksh would be even more difficult than it was now.

KALYANI had noticed that Sampada was checking her husband out. She nearly fainted herself when she noticed that he had come out of the room shirtless. God, what was wrong with this man? Had he gone insane? She immediately rushed back into their room.

MALHAR had been really happy when he had followed his wife out of the room. But his happiness vanished in seconds when he noticed who was at the doorstep. He lost all his mirth and proceeded towards them with anger. It was clear that he was not happy to see them.

ATHARVA had thought the same thoughts as Sampada when he noticed Kalyani's and Malhar's behaviour. He was shocked even if he didn't let it show on his face. However, when Kalyani moved back towards their room, he composed himself and in his teasing way said, "Kya baat hai Bhau, Sampada ke jaane ke baad aapne kapde pehna bhi chod diya kya? Itna dukh hai Sampada ke jaane ka, yaa phir Kalyani sirf Moksh ki Aayabhai hai, aur aapka kuch khayal hi nahi rakhti?" After saying this he looked to Sampada and both of them laughed.

KALYANI had gone to the room to get Malharji a shirt, but when she had came on outside to Atharva's comment, she seethed. She went towards Malharji, grabbed his hand from where it was beside him, put the t-shirt in his hand and proceeded towards Atharva. She, with a bitter smile said, "Kyun, jealous feel kar rahe ho, ke tumhare pass aisi hot body nahi hai, yaa phir iss baat ki jealousy ke tumse itne bade hokar bhi unhe apni body maintain karne aati hai?" As she said this, she wiggled her eyebrows and all that teasing and smugness from Atharva's face disappeared.

SAMPADA, however, was not going to back down from Kalyani. She moved towards Aausaheb's part of the house and leaned her elbows on the partition. Resting her head in one hand, she said, "Itna gussa, kyun Kalyani, aakhir kyun? Kaunsa tum Malhar ke saath koi sambandh bana pai ho joh tumhe itna gussa aa raha hai? Kaunsa pati-patni ka rishta hai tum dono ka?" Sampada chuckled. Continuing, "Khair woh sab chodo, hum toh aapke saath apni khush khabar baatne aaye hai. Atharva, aao, sabko batao, humari khush khabar."

ANUPRIYA had heard what Atharva and Sampada had said. She did not want any drama today again, but lately their life was a constant drama. Everyone had heard the ruckus that was going on in the courtyard. They all gathered there, and noticed that Malhar was putting on his t-shirt. Thank God they were not here when he was out here parading himself without a shirt. Then that Atharva had begun speaking, and what he was saying, disturbed her to no ends.

ATHARVA, who had been let down by Kalyani's spot on description of what he was feeling, immediately lightened up at the opportunity to demean the Deshmukh family. He said, "Toh mein aap sabko yeh khush khabri dena chahta hun." He then produced the papers he had recieved from that ugly old Saahukaar in exchange for his gold teeth. "Aapne jis Saahukaar ko yeh papers deke paise liye the na, uske paise meine de diye, par usne badle mein yeh papers mere naam kar diye." He said mockingly. Looking at Aausaheb's shocked expression, he continued derisively, "Iska matlab, mein yaha, iss ghar mein, aap sab logon ke saath rahunga."

KALYANI was lost. What the hell was Atharva saying? He and Sampada were to actually stay in this house. Why was this happening? She looked to her Aai and noticed she too looked ashamed. She asked her Aai, "Aai, yeh kya bol raha hai?" But before she could say something, Sampada interrupted her and said, "Kya Kalyani, issi ghar mein rehti hona, toh itna bhi nahi jaanti ki Vivek Mama ne ghar ke papers jis Saahukaar ke yaha girvi rakhe tha, uss Saahukaar ne kal Vivek Mama ki jaan lene ki koshish ki. Aur Atharva ne apni behen ke suhaag ko bachane ke liye uss Saahukaar ko paise de diye. Kyunki, Aausaheb, Aausaheb ke pass toh paise hai hi nahi. Ab mein aur Atharva yahi rahenge Kalyani, aur bahut jald Moksh bhi mujhe Aai maan lega."

This rocked Kalyani to the core. What would she do now? She had no idea how to get them both out of the house. She turned to look at Malharji, but he was calmly watching the events transpiring. Like he had no worries in the world. She did not understand this man. One moment he was all shirtless and rebellious and the next he was calm and composed. She had to do something, because there was no way, absolutely no f**king way that she would let Sampada and Atharva stay here, in this house when she knew how Sampada and Atharva affected Malharji. She would fight tooth and nail to get them out of the house.

She turned and looked back Atharva and said, "Tumhe iss ghar mein rehne ki kya zarurat hai, tum toh apne uss mansion mein raho. Bahut ameer ho gaye ho na, tumhe aise chote se ghar mein mazaa nahi aayega. Woh sukoon aur shaanti joh akele ek mansion mein rehne se milegi woh yaha iss chote se ghar mein, itne saare logon ke sath rehne mein kaha milne wali hai." Apparently, this line of attack was too predictable of Kalyani, because immediately, like a counter attack that had already been prepared, Atharva said that, "Kalyani, Kallu uski chinta tum mat karo. Gareebon ke ghar mein bhi ameeron jaise kaise rehte hai mein tumhe batata hun na." He stopped and looked at the temple in the house and moved toward it. He said, "Yaha, yaha banega mera bar, aur yaha har type ki sharaab hogi. Wine . Champagne. Beer. Vodka." He laughed mockingly.

AAUSAHEB had had enough . As soon as she heard him say sharaab she said, "Poornviram! Iss ghar mein naahi kabhi sharaab aaayi hai aur naa kabhi aayegi." Sampada also aaid, "Kaise rokegi aap hume Aausaheb, naa apke pass humko yaha se nikalne ka koi raasta hai, naa zariya. Waise aapko bata dun ki ab agar mein aur Atharva yaha aa gaye rehne ke liye toh aapko aur Raosaheb ko bhi baaki sabke saath aangan mein shift hona padega. Ab mein aur Atharva thodi nahi sone wale hai aangan mein." And that made Aausaheb worried, she had no idea how she would manage that.

KALYANI had been outraged hearing Sampada just now. She replied, "Sampada bas karo, bas abhi niklo yaha se. Tumhe yaha rehne ki koi zarurat nahi hai. Pehle hi bahut zindagiyaan barbaad kar chuki ho tum yahan pe. Aur tum Atharva, tumhe toh dekhke hi mera khoon khaulta hai." And to this Atharva smiled slyly and said, "Aur tumhe dekh ke mera khoon khaulta hai Kalyani. Tumhe yaad nahi aata, kaise mein tumhe bike pe bhelpuri khilane leke jata tha, kaise tum mera phone leke bhaag jaati thi, tab bhi bahut achi lagti thi, aur aaj jab tum mujhe aise khunas se dekh rahi ho na, tab bhi bada maza aa raha hai. Sampu, agar mein tumse pyaar nahi karta na toh pakka isse bhi apni side kar deta. Kyun haan Malhar Bhau waise bhi aapko pasand to hai nahi, mein hi rakh leta." He said without looking at Malharji. Everyone could hear Sampada cackling in the background.

MALHAR had been maintaining his calm and collected composure, but he was furious inside. When he heard Atharva's comments on Kalyani, he had be been enraged. He didn't think, before Kalyani could rebuke Atharva, he moved towards the partition, grabbed Atharva by his ear and dragged him by his ear, outside the house. He was so full of rage, that he didn't even notice when the family followed them. He could hear Kalyani's screams to stop, but he wasn't listening. He punched Atharva, right in his face, so hard, he thought that perhaps Atharva's nose broke. But before he could do something else, he saw Kalyani rushing towards him. He was still moving forward to beat up Atharva, maybe break his jaw too, but before he could Sampada stood up in front of him.

KALYANI saw that as soon as Sampada came in front of Malharji, he stopped. She didn't know why, but that hurt. Because she was sure he had seen her rushing towards him and he hadn't stopped. But before Sampada could say something, he grabbed Sampada by her arm and moved her to the side. She didn't know what was happening now. But she noticed that Malharji was coming towards her. He grabbed her wrist and started pulling her with him to the house. She started following him voluntarily, bit then too he didn't let go of her wrist. Suddenly they had reached their room and he pulled her in front of him and made her turn so that she was sat on the bed. She didn't know what had happened. She startled when she heard a thud. She looked up and noticed that Malharji had punched the wall, that too with the hand that he had used to punch Atharva. "Kya zarurat thi Atharva ki koi bhi baat sunne ki. Kaha hai na meine tumhe ke uss ghar ki baaton mein involve hone ki koi zarurat nahi hai." Malharji said.

Kalyani was hearing him but wasn't listenimg to him. She leaped forward and grabbed his injured hand. She looked at his injured hand, then at him. Then she grabbed his wrist and made him sit on the bed. She then went to the chest of drawers that had the first aid box. She grabbed it and went back to him. She sat beside him and opened the bottle of dettol to clean the wound and soaked the cotton with it. She then proceeded to apply it to his hand. He hissed at contact. "Dard ho raha hai?" She asked. He nodded his head yes. She applied it more roughly and said, "Hone do!"

MALHAR looked at her incredulously. She was somethong else. Totally. But she did apply it more gently, so that he wouldn't feel any more pain. He heard that she was mumbling again and asked her to raise her voice. That was a mistake. Because she raised her voice and said, "Waise toh bade calm aur collected se khade the, ek baar yaad kya dila diya Atharva ne, ki kaise woh Sampada ko bhaga kar leke gaya, aur bas, chad gaya aapka paala, maar diya usse." She was really something. Moments before he had promised her that he would win her trust. He could see that there was long way to that goal. He saw that she had finally put the dirty cotton away and was applying some kind if ointment on his wounds. He grabbed her wrist by his other hand, forcing her to look up. "Kalyani, tumhe lagta hai ki meine Atharva ko isiliye maara kyunki usne mujhe Sampada ke baare mein yaad dilaya?" He said. She replied, "Aur nahi toh kya, aapko gussa aata hi sirf mujhpe aur Sampada pe hai. Aur Atharva pe." She freed her wrist and continued to apply the ointment. He was looking at her. Staring at her. She looked up to grab some cotton when she noticed that he was staring. She asked, "Kya dekh rahe hai aap?"

"Dekh raha hun Kalyani ke tumhe mujhpe itna bhi bharosa nahi hai, ki tum yeh maan pao, ke tum par joh woh comments pass kar raha tha, uske liye meine usse maara." At this Kalyani was stumped. Malhar continued, "Kya mein itne bharose ke laayak bhi nahi hun, ke tum mujhse itna expect karo, expect karo ki mein tumhare liye bhi lad sakta hu. Aur expectations ke saath yeh accept bhi karo ki aaj meine Atharva ko punch sirf tumhari wajah se maara. Jab usne kaha ki waise bhi tum mujhe pasand nahi ho, toh woh tumhe rakhle, tab mujhe joh gussa aaya, woh gusse par mein kaabu nahi kar paaya aur meine usse maar diya. Kyunki Kalyani, 'mein tumhe pasand nahi karta', yeh sarasar jhooth hai. Meine tumse keh diya hai. Kuch bhi jo jaye mein tumhara bharosa jeet kar rahunga, aur iske liye mujhe tumhare liye stand lene ki zarurat hai."

KALYANI had not ever seen Malharji like this, ever. She still could not believe that he was defending her and not Sampada. But she knew she had to clear somethings with him. She said, "Malharji, aisa nahi hai ki mein aap par trust nahi karti, I trust you, with my life, mein jaanti hun ki jab meri jaan khatre mein hogi, tab aap mujhe bachayenge. Kyunki aapne humesha meri jaan bachai hai. But Malharji, you have to understand, ki mein apni feelings ke saath aapko trust nahi kar sakti. Aapne mujhe bahut hurt kiya hai Malharji, pehle meri baat na sunke aur phir mujhe bina meri hi advice puch, divorce ke liye apply karke. Malharji, mein aap ko trust karti hun, but mein iss baat par trust nahi karti ki agar kabhi koi situation aaye, aur phirse saare saboot mere khilaaf ho, toh aap mujhpe trust karenge. Mein iss baat par trust nahi karti ki aap mujhpe trust karke mere liye stand lenge. Ki aap apno ke khilaaf, mere liye lad jaayenge." While she had been saying this she had applied cotton over the ointment and bandaged his hand with some gauze. She looked up, freed his hand, went to Pillu to feed him.

MALHAR was baffled by what Kalyani had said. He had been dumbfounded by the accusations she has placed on him. But if he looked back towards his attitude towards her, he could see why she would doubt him. Why she had created walls so high around herself, why she wasn't letting him enter. Because she was scared of being disappointed yet again. He had to think of something so that he could be of help to her. So that he could prove that he did want her trust, in any and every way.

He would do anything to enter those walls.

He would f**king take them apart if he had to.

Though few of the scenes were from the show but u gave them a different touch...which I really appreciate.

Part Five.

MALHAR, who had woken up yesterday, relaxed after a long time, went to sleep yesterday disturbed. After what Kalyani had said to him, he was dismembered. The rest of that day had passed normally, he had gone to the police station, did his job, came back to his family, listened to some taunts from Atharva and Sampada, planned what to do with them. It was an entirely normal day, except Kalyani had made him realise the errors of his way. She had made him realise, that though she trusted him with her life, she could not trust him with her heart yet. It pinched him, that she may never fall in love with him. Because he was half in lov---- Malhar stopped himself right there. He shouldn't think such thoughts. He should focus on how to make Kalyani trust him. It was all very complicated.

Speaking of complicated, he thought of the plan he had made for Sampada and Atharva. The plan that would successfully deal with Sampada and Atharva, while also being a step by him to gain Kalyani's trust. This was not the time for musings, he thought. Because if he had to succeed in his plans, he had to execute them, and to execute them, he had to get up from the bed.

Nah nah nah, he didn't get up, because in exactly a minute Kalyani was going to come in with Moksh. And the joy he felt, this absolutely amazing feeling in his chest when he looks at her, that is too good to pass up. Her and Moksh, he means.

KALYANI comes in the room with the intention of getting Moksh to drink his milk and put him in his cradle so she could get ready. She did put Moksh in his cradle, but the hair on the back of her neck stinged, and she knew he was watching. She always got this feeling when Malharji was watching her. She turned around to see him, but his eyes were closed. She knew very well that he was not asleep, that he was wide awake. She had caught him yesterday too. She said, as if stating a fact, "Malharji mein jaanti hun ki aap jaag rahe hai, please uth jaayiye!"

She saw as Malharji opened his eyes. She noticed the inquisitive look in his eyes. But she did not pay much attention to him. She turned around heading to Moksh, when she felt a tug on the dupatta she was wearing. She turned around, thinking her dupatta had stuck somewhere, but he had snagged the dupatta. She lifted her eyes from where he was holding her dupatta to his eyes which were silently watching her. As he continued to watch her, he got up from the bed too. Until he was close to her, he held the dupatta. When he was finally close to her, he lifted his hand holding the dupatta, continuously looking, capturing her eyes, he shifted his focus to his hand and then back to her, she followed his eyes, but he unhandled her dupatta.

She was confused, what is he up to now! She is so done with his antics. She huffed and proceeded out of the room, but before she could leave, he again snagged her dupatta, and gave a tug so strong, she had to grab her dupatta, in fear of it falling. He was relentless, he gave her tug again, pulled her towards him, so that her back was touching his waist. She turned and saw his hand, wrapped in her dupatta. She looked in his eyes, but turned away from them immediately. She needs to leave this room. Something was definitely wrong with Malharji.

MALHAR was having fun messing with her. However when he saw that she looked determined to try to leave the room again, he tightened his hold on her dupatta, which she usually didn't wear, but thank God was wearing today. He leaned down to her ear, and whispered, "Tumhe kaise pata chale ke mein so nahi raha tha?" She blushed, quite beautifully, if he must say so. Turned bright red. Good. Red was a good colour on her. She turned around then, in her Jhaansi Ki Rani mode and said, "Toh baaki kya, aapke saath reh reh ke mein bhi aapki tarah ekdam satark ho gayi hun. Aur waise bhi aapke saath rehne ke liye mujhe aapki har movement ka dhyaan rakhna padta hai, kya pata kab konsa bomb gira de aap!" At this he felt guilty, beacause he had actually startled her many times, to give her punishments. But he was not to be persuaded so easily. So he took a step forward and immediately noticed how she took one step back. He took another step forward and she repeated herself.

"Yeh mein aage aata hun toh tum peeche kyu jaati ho?" Malhar asked. Kalyani's eyes widened, she began to say, "Woh mein, mein, mein," and proceeded to mumble something under her breath. He lifted a finger and supported her below the chin, lifting her face. "Mere jaagne ka pata chalta hai, mere ghar pe aane ka pata chalta hai, mere gusse ka pata chalta hai, mere dukh ka pata chalta hai. Aakhir mere baare mein tumhe kabse itna pata chalne laga Kalyani?" She was avoiding his eyes from the moment he started speaking but as soon as he aaked her that question, her big doe eyes shooted straight to him. "Kahi pasand toh nahi aane laga mein tumhe, kahi parwa toh nahi karne lagi ho meri?"

KALYANI was stumped, clean bowled, she had actually began caring for him, so much that she would go to any lengths to keep him safe. She had actually began to like him. No, this could not be happening. While she knew she was attracted to him, she didn't realise until now that she cared for him. So much that it scared her. She could not answer his questions, so she deflected them and said, "Yeh kya laga rakha hai subah subah, jaayiye tayyaar ho jaayiye. Station nahi jaana." And ran away from there like a deer running from a hunter.

MALHAR knew that he had shocked her, but he had to make her realise, that this unpredictable and inexplicable connection that they had, this relationship, this Raabta they had, was changing and evolving and they had to be prepared for what life was to throw at them. What fate had decided for them. He could not afford to waste more time, so he left freshen up. After freshening up he got ready and kissed his son on the forehead. Then he left for the police station. He did not want to talk to Kalyani before he had executed his plan. He would be home soon enough. Then he would talk to her.

KALYANI was just about done with Sampada and Atharva. They had disrupted everything just by entering this house. They had pretty much riled everyone up. Even Aatya was distressed because of her dear daughter. She had to think of something, something that would get them out of the house. Just as she was in the middle of thinking some elaborate plan, she heard sirens in the distance. She looked out and it was Malharji in his police van with some of his constables.

What Malharji had asked her today, this morning was being deeply contemplated by her. She actually had began to like him. She had always cared for him, if not for him then the person that was Moksh's father. But when he had asked that question, she realised that she had began to care for him. Malharji. Not Moksh's father, not someone whose wife had run away, but someone who was her husband, whom she had to spend her entire life with. Because she would spend her entire life with him, even if he protested.

She came out of her thoughts when Malharji and his constables entered the house. They had one other person with them, who looked like a lawyer. They called out Sampada, Atharva and Vivek Mama. But as usual, even if one person was called from that part of the house, three came around. Then this was three people who had been called out. All the member were to come around.

When they actually came around, Sampada and Atharva confused and Vivek Mama scared. She was kind of happy that he called for Sampada and Atharva, hoping he would arrest them. But, again shockingly, Malharji announced that he had to arrest Vivek Mama. He said, "Mr. Vivek Deshmukh, you are under arrest. Aapne kissi aur ki land pe, unse dhokhe se papers sign karwa ke usse girvi rakh diya hai." He then handcuffed Vivek Mama.

Kalyani knew that this wasn't the truth. Aai had voluntarily signed the papers to mortgage this house. But she wasn't about to say anything, as it looked like Malharji was planning something even further ahead. Vivek Mama, defending himself, said, "Yeh sara-sar jhooth hai, meine Maai se puchke hi papers sign karwaye the." Malharji, not listening, said, "Joh bhi kehna hai police station chalke kaho." Then he turned towards Sampada and Atharva and said, quite professionally, "Mr. Bapat, aap aur apki - he looked at Sampada from head to toe and proceeded sarcastically - partner ko yeh premises se chod dene chahiye. Yeh land disputed hai, ispe karwaahi hogi, faltu mein aapko pareshaani hogi." Oh! So this was where he was leading with this. She must say this was quite a brilliant plan. She was impressed.

Sampada and Atharva looked like they had just been handed dirt in their hands. Atharva, not to be defeated said, "But yeh ghar mere pass mortgaged hai, mein yaha reh sakta hun. Mein yahi rahunga." As this was said, Malharji looked prepared, he looked to the lawyer and the lawyer taking the hint said, "Dekhiye mujhe DCP ne bheja hai, taaki mein aapko samjha saku, ki aapko koi takleef naa ho. Jab yeh land dispute mein hai, toh court case banega, agar aap yahi pe rehna continue karenge toh aapko bhi court ke chakkar kaatne padenge. Isiliye best course of action yahi hai ki aap ek statement de de and iss ghar ko haal filaal ke liye bhool jaye. It would be in your best interest to vacate this house and proceed cautiously. Warna aapko bhi iss case mein phasaya jaa sakta hai."

Atharva literally looked like he had bit a lemon. She was amused, she didn't know that Malharji could also think of such plans. This was amazing. Atharva grabbed a hold of Sampada and moved to the door. However before they left, Atharva stopped and looked to Malharji and said, "Bhau, yeh mat samajhna ke aap jeet gaya. Ek baazi jeete hai aap, asli jeet toh meri hui hai, aur hamesha meri hi rahegi." Referring to Sampada. Malharji looked at him, his angry young man look, like the one he got when he was about to do some atom bombing. He said, "Aisi jeet apne pass hi rakho, jiske liye tumne do, nahi teen logon ki zindagi barbaad kardi ho. Meine toh sirf tumhe haraya hai, tumhari tarah kisiki zindagi toh barbaad nahi ki na." Hearing this, Atharva and Sampada's face twisted a bit more. They turned and left the house. The lawyer following them.

Malharji then signalled something to his constables and they moved out of the house. Then they left in the police van, leaving Malharji and a handcuffed Vivek Mama there. Malharji uncuffed Vivek Mama and let him go. "Kya laga aapko, asli arrest hai, yeh un dono ko iss ghar se nikalne ka ek tareeka tha. Par Vivek Mama, aage se dhyaan rahe, agli baar kuch aisa hua, toh mein aapko sach mein arrest karunga. Aur phir aapko ko nahi bachane aane wala." He then started moving towards their side of the house.

Just as he was about to move to the bedroom he turned and said, "Aur haan Aai aur Pallavi Mami, khayaal rahe ki Sampada aur Atharva tak yeh baat na pahunche. Warna mein aur bhi bahut kuch kar sakta hun." And he was gone. In the bedroom. She turned to see Aatya and Pallavi Mami to see they were standing there with their mouths wide open. They were incredulous yet shocked. Suprised yet scared. Malharji jhas clean bowled everyone today.

She didn't know why he did this.

But she was determined to find out.

She was determined to solve this puzzle called Malhar Rane.
