Says Rhea, "We know that the viewers are very sad with the show shutting down. It was the channel's decision, and there is nothing much that we can do. Overall, I had a great experience being part of Tu Sooraj. The show ran for more than a year and we did a lot of interesting tracks. I got to learn a lot from this experience.
Ask her what she misses the most about the show, and she is quick to say, "I miss being in the character of Kanak. The role was very close to me. I also miss the whole cast as we were like a family. I miss the set too.
Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piyaji produced by Shashi Sumeet Productions created history of sorts when it was moved from the afternoon slot into the prime time slot. "We did really well to sustain and grow on the audience base in the prime time slot. So there were a lot of positives for all of us out of this experience.
Rhea thanks her huge fan base for giving her all the warmth. "I thank all of them for following the show. We are happy that we could keep them entertained for more than a year. We did quality episodes and never went over the top in story line.
Ask her about the genre she would like to explore now and she states, "I would like to try my hand at comedy. It would be fun and I would get a lot to play around with it.
Rhea who is now packing her bags for a long vacation to the Himachal will give quite a lot of importance to the script and story. "The medium does not matter. I am open to TV, digital platform and even films. What I will want is to get a role which is bigger than whatever I have done in the past. The script and story will be what I will prioritize.
