What a terrific but rushed episode!👏
FINALLY, we have been treated to KanUm moments. Moments where they came together INDEPENDENT OF MEERA/AKSHAY/K&U/GOVERNMENT KA KAAM etc. and without even saying the words confessed their love for each other. Rhea Sharma and Avinesh Rekhi, fantabulous acting!! I pray and wish you win the best Jodi award this year. Such powerful acting, and so natural!👏👏👏
The episode continues from the confrontation scene from yesterday, where Kanak keeps badgering Uma with that ONE question what happened two years ago that you left me? I was mad at you, tried to hate you, but still couldn't stop loving you. "Main aaj bhi aapse utna hi pyaar karti hun jitna pehle karti thi aur main jaanti hun ki aap bhi mujhse utna hi pyaar karte hain.
"Phir hum donon ke pyaar ke beech Meera jaisi deewar kaise aa gayi.
"Agar baat itni badi hai toh wajah bhi utni hi badi hogi.
My knuckles had turned white, coz I was waiting for Uma to SPEAK OUT. However, he continued being the majboor aatma he was and simply said that he saved Kanak from this trap because it was his duty to do so. Whatever happened two years ago cannot be changed, the fact that Meera IS his wife today cannot change.
You could see Uma literally struggling to keep himself together, his chest exploding with the pain. And yet, he DID NOT UTTER A WORD. That must be some will-power, man! Not to mention, majboori L😭😭
Uma walked out from the conversation, not entertaining any further questions. I can't believe this- till now he probably doesn't even know Meera is out on anticipatory bail and yet, you could still see the fear she has managed to engulf his common sense in!
Meanwhile, Suman, who has been watching these two converse, especially Kanak who so desperately wanted to know the truth, realizes that all of this mess was happening because of her. Her dadusa and Bhabisa could not be together because of her foolishness. How would it be if she were to disappear from the scene?
For once, I thought amazing! At least tumko bachane ke bahane KanUm will come together and the truth will somehow come out.😲
Suman makes a dash for Rathi house, hands over a letter to Kanak and scuttles away from the scene, doesn't even wait for Ved to come drop her home as Bhabo had suggested. (Not important but can you just take a stroll from Ladno to Pushkar and back like you're walking in a park?)
Anyway, Suman sets off on MISSION SUICIDE. We obviously have NO idea where the hell she goes to, but it seems all these Toshniwal parivaar wale like to jump off the cliffside into deep water bodies (remember, even Palomi tried doing that, or wait, she tried pushing Uma into the river below, I don't quite remember now).
So anyway, Suman has headed off to her "aakhri destination. Here in Rathi house, Kanak shuts herself in the room, not wanting to speak to anyone when Bhabo calls out to her, saying Suman left her a letter. She slids the envelope through the slight gap under the door. Kanak is perturbed, why would Suman come all the way this time of the night and leave her a letter?
She opens it frantically, reads the contents and is shocked. And I am shocked that EVEN IN THE LETTER, despite deciding to do the "right thing or whatever, she does not tell Kanak the whole reason. She simply says "I am the reason why dadusa could not keep his promise. I am the reason you guys got separated. And I want to disappear from the scene forever because that's the only way you guys will get back together.
I should applaud her smarts, but anyway, these are teenage hormones. Dil dimaag ek jagah nai rehta.😳
Kanak immediately dials Uma's no., he doesn't pick up the phone thinking Kanak still wants to get those answers from him. She then sends him a message, informing him of Suman's life being in danger. The next thing we know Kanak is sitting beside Uma, and they are both trying to locate Suman.
Funny, they didn't show any of the intermediary scenes in between, maybe because they're just as sick and tired of this pathetic track as we all are by now. Kanak still tries to fish out the truth, Uma restrains himself and tells her this isn't the right time for these questions. I was like, really, so when IS the right time? When Suman manages to kill herself?😆
It's funny that Suman keeps determinedly walking her mile-long Dandi march, and we can see the night has transitioned to daybreak. I'm amazed Suman had the guts to walk all alone in pitch darkness, just coz she was so determined to commit suicide.😕 Coincidentally, because now everything has to fall into place, Kanak locates Suman walking towards the cliffside and signals to Uma to stop the car. Both of them dash out of the car at the same time, making a run for Suman. Suman is oblivious to her Bhabisa's cries and to her dadusa's screams as well. Because, well, jaldi se koodna hai.
Suman goes into flashback mode of how she is the culprit in her bro and sister in law's love story and just when she stretches one foot out, Kanak forcibly pulls her back. Suman, of course, is uncontrollable and keeps saying, "main marr jana chahti hun.
It takes two hard slaps to get her back to senses.😆 Kanak demands to know why Suman was about to take such a drastic step. You would think, YES, THIS IS THE RIGHT TIME. UMA, COME ON, SPEAK UP. But no. Dude is still standing shell-shocked and all majboorified and STILL doesn't wanna spill the truth. Anyhow, by God's grace (or rather CVs' because they didn't stretch this overdue, stale drama), Suman blurts the truth out, "Kyunki main khooni hun.
And then the whole truth tumbles out. Uma looks pained, almost like he got a sudden case of diarrhoea. It takes Kanak two seconds to maaro a dialogue, which was something along the lines of, you were living in more pain than I was. Chalo, we're even now. Let's hug.
Jokes aside, I LOVED the HUG. So heartfelt, and after looong, it felt like the original Umashankar and Kanak Rathi coming together, like that witch Meera never even happened.
A lot of emotional drama ensues, where Kanak tries to make Suman understand that death is not the solution of any problem. What did she think? If she died, how would her dadusa, masa, Shiv and she ever forgive themselves? How would they live without her? Uma too tries to make her understand and says she doesn't have to worry about any of this. He is always there to protect her. I think it takes 2 more slaps to make Suman come back to her senses. But you could sense the CVs were rushing it up because the reunion happened rather fast, after prolonging even shitty episodes for whole weeks!
Loved how Uma, Kanak and Suman hugged.❤️
There are 3 people I was pissed with today.
1) Suman Agar suicide karna tha, toh yeh idea tumhen pehle kyun nai aaya? Maybe we wouldn't have had to deal with Meera for so so long, and then that idiot Akshay too! You were the fasaad ki jadd' so naturally the solution lay with you. Even if you PRETENDED to die, something would've come out of it. But thank god, you FINALLY decided to have mercy on her bro's condition and do something about it. Of course, we all knew you wouldn't die, so we're not worried/traumatized.
2) UMA I understand you were being blackmailed day in and day out, but now you've achieved your mission. You've saved Kanak, she's right there by your side, and she WANTS to know the truth. She DESERVES the truth, why wouldn't you OPEN your mouth? What majboori are you still bound by? Suman? Well, you know Meera is simply using it as a trump card and she wouldn't do anything of the sort. If she wanted to do that, she'd have done long back! At least Kanak pe thoda toh vishwas karte!😕
3) MEERA obviously this shameless woman, she is forcing herself on a man who has ZERO interest in her. She is getting decked up to have suhaag raat with a man who doesn't want to stand within 5 inches of her. Standing in front of the mirror, she is gloating about how "Suman is the one who's preventing Uma and Kanak from being together, not her. And how she would continue to exploit this "trup ka ikka. As if her monologues were not enough, she went so far as to laugh like a demon, so sure of her success. Little is she aware, her "ikka has already spilled the beans and Ms. Mittal's game is OVER.😛
PRECAP The actual fun starts tomorrow, to be honest. It seems Kanak has understood Meera's game plan and has decided to play a similar, and admittedly, BETTER game than her. I think she makes a plan around Suman committing suicide. All the Rathis are sitting, mourning Suman's death.😆😆 Of course, this is a trap! Meera is flabbergasted because now the very reason of her blackmail isn't alive. She is trying to think up something else that will prevent Uma from leaving her and going to Kanak.
I've always felt that whole thing was orchestrated. The thief dying coz of Suman throwing an ill-aimed stone at him from behind. I mean, who the hell just stands on the side of the road and CAPTURES it ...it's as if Meera and her dad knew what was going to happen. If Kanak has woken up to this truth, then maybe she has hatched this excellent plan to fasao Meera. Either way, this IS a brilliant plan!👏
I'm sooo happy. I can breathe properly now. I don't care KanUm could get married, remarried, not married as per rituals, for me, they are ONE SOUL. And now, CVs, we want to see them fighting the evils of the world TOGETHER. Not as Uma and Kanak, stranded in 2 different locations, dealing with two different life situations.
P.S. I'm sorry I made fun of even some of the serious scenes in the episode today but I was TIRED of all the crying, majboori, waiting, knuckle-whitening and still getting to see NO RESULTS.
Now we can finally get down to watching some ACTUAL story.
