Aditya sealed his fate the moment he put his wife/Payal at stake and along with Kanak... the whole idea of placing women as betting chips has been there for a long time, people refer to it as an example but none learn from it... there was this line running in underscript that star doesn't promote the violence or abuse happening in the show - running a disclaimer is not enough unless they show a solid solution to such situations...
Uma and vedAnsh are looking for Kanak and Payal, they get through, shocked to their core when they see Payal in such state..: they beat the goons... Ved and Uma reach for the sofa covers and bring it to cover Payal... it's those two men who matter in Payal's life, one whom she loved and other who wrote her fate. Kanak comes running out dodging bullet, Vansh tries to hug her to console her, but Kanak finds solace only in the arms of the man she loves... he stood there while his world crashed into his arms-it's that moment which changes everything, that she didn't even know Uma was there, yet in the crowd she made her way towards him.
Uma and VedAnsh beat up the goon until he says that it was all Aditya.. as he lost money gambling and then sold his wife ... Uma turns towards Aditya and he tries to make excuses by framing Rajeev- Rajeev who had experienced the rudra avatar of Uma, reveals everything about Aditya that he was faking a memory loss, he cheated the whole family and molested Kanak - Rajeev might be his friend but even friends have limits, Aditya tried throwing him under the bus, but Rajeev refused to be a scapegoat and get beaten up again... he speaks up the truth - well even if he was included in the plan to harass Kanak... he questioned Payal's presence at the kotha, he did say that she was Aditya's wife...
Rajeev is about to reveal Massi's name that it was all her brain child that as ever she steps in at the umpteenth moment to save her self - she berates Aditya for playing with a woman's honor - her her words belittle the whole effect, she knows what her son is capable of, yet she has her ulterior motives, she wants to save that son by making him escape.. she a woman takes another woman lightly as if they weren't human being...
Uma might have taken decisions impromptu earlier on on the show, the decisions which are falling flat on him... the decisions which are making him question his entire self... Uma is conflicted at the revelation of Aditya, the guy who was is brother isn't what he thought he was... he denounces his relationship with Aditya... he agrees to send Aditya to jail for his crimes, yet there are three things which are to be done... Uma apologizes to Payal for he married her off to his brother, he didn't know his real face... he asks Payal to slap Aditya, for he broke faith in the most scared relationship... Aditya is not a man but a coward. Payal walks in front of him, the fury riling up, and slaps Aditya, for making a commodity of her, a mare to be sold at a market... he made a joke of her being a woman and used her to his advantage.
Uma then asks Kanak to slap Aditya, for he dared molest her - Kanak need not be told twice, she slaps the hell out of him, while Massi is left twisting her hands... for they itched to come forward to save her son... but it's mothers like her that breed such monsters.
Uma today gave women, be it Kanak or Payal the right to punish their culprit... - it isn't Uma's place to give them the authority but a change was introduced today, that he might have decided the punishment but he asked the ladies to hand it out... a first step in a million more to come. It's the ladies of his house that were sold off, and in such a place some sense is knocked into him that ladies are not just mares or decoration pieces... but an individual of their own, he asks them to vent out their anger and give it a proper closure before shipping Aditya to jail.
Uma played judge in a court he held... but it was a scene where he redeems himself a bit in eyes of VedAnsh, that he is not as evil as Vansh thinks of him, and he might be regressive but not inhumane, he respects women, and it's good enough for starters.
