Hi love yr thought on dis leap in the show..true uma is totally different from d other male actors dats wat makes him unique..its also true from the beginning he believe in dharam moral values and being truthful..its one of his admirable quality..but theres so much to focus on in d show..like trying to make her marriage work trying to understand her husbane and him her..dis leap not making sense to me..i can understand a death attempt on her maybe loss of memory but not d same like her mom in diya aur baati..lets hope and pray dat maybe d cvs knw wat thryre doing..everyone has their own opinion on this topic and its so beautifully said..wish dat it wudnt have dat death track...im very sad too dnt want it😭😭😭
I believe you to be right Parmeen. Kanak won't die and reincarnate because then that would mean Uma would be really old, considering he's already 30 years and 7 months + but yeah, they might show she died and somehow survived and is living differently because she lost her memory or something.
But aren't leaps usually taken after a while, like after the show has been running a while? I feel it's too soon to take a leap but maybe CVs know best?
In any case I can't stop watching the show as I would miss it too much. I get that the villains, if exposed would mean the end of the show so the CVs can't have that yet, but really a leap? Oh well.
But here are something's I really wish don't happen:
1. Kanak becomes IPS I get it, children often follow in the footsteps of their parents when taking up a career, BUT, remember when the show started and Kanak left her exams so that she could attend her parent's shraad?
She told her friends when they said to her that she doesn't seem like Sandhya's daughter because her mother left her haldi ceremony for her exam Kanak said that she is exactly like her mother, she's doing what's important for her, and that was attending the shraad.
Kanak has never been shown to like books, or studying, she was never a career oriented girl, she always wanted to have a family where she was lived, that was her priority. So to make her career oriented now, just feels sooo out of place, to me.
Why would CVs do that? All her fight is about and has always been to guide her husband, to have her happy family, she's never fought with Uma about working or having a career because she's simply not interested in that. She's different from Sandhya, and I like that about TSMSP even though a sequel it's different from the original.
Having her be an IPS would ruin that. I might still watch the show because I'm addicted, but I like Kanak the way she is now. What's wrong with a girl focused with family?
2. I don't wish to see a modern Uma in the sense, that I don't want to see him in modern clothing, but a bit more modern thinking, yes.
Uma's character as a male lead is so interesting, his belief, his dharm it's all a part of what makes him Uma, it's a part of his charm.
I have never seen any male leads like him on any channels, he's expressive of his feels, he's sentimental and emotional and invested in his family. All other male leads have a problem expressing themselves, their "I love you confessions are too late, but for Uma it was so simple, he loved her so he told her exactly what was on his mind. That's so uncommon.
Uma cares deeply for everyone and it can be shown, he doesn't try to act tough, it shows. I never see him try to act anything actually, he's tough and that because he's shown what he's capable of, the self-discipline, the principles, the tragedies in his life, everything shows he's tough.
I love the fact that he's an Ayurvedic doctor, seems like every other hero is a businessman but not this guy, he's homely and grounded, he's rich but that isn't because his family has been in business for generations, it's because he built it, he earned everything in his life (the saving money, the amount of work he does and he even believes in charity!).
I'm amazed, and if Uma was a normal modern man, TSMSP would not be the same.
I'm okay with it, if the CVs really want to throw in a separation and leap, but please, no IPS and modernising of Uma Sona's to assassinate both characters in the show.
I wish CVs would handle it better. And I hope they're not making the wrong choice, a lot of you seem disappointed with the leap news, if so it could mean a decrease in viewership, and we only good a better TRP last week, so I really hope there will be some smart decisions.
What do y'all think?

Hii Ziah !! 😊Firstly, I don't know whether I should completely believe this rumour. 😕But then, if it is true, then I agree with you. I'm sure the CVs either want to gain more TRPs by introducing this 'commonly adapted' *separation* track or they're too confused as to how to carry forward the show's story...It has to be either of these reasons.I too feel that Uma's character shouldn't be modernized. His thoughts were to be modernized by Kanak, according to the initial story atleast...so in no way would I prefer him changing on his own, otherwise what is that 'Diya Aur Baati Hum' tagline for ?Also, Kanak isn't a studious person so God knows how a memory loss or an injury can give a person special powers to become extra studious. But then, the CVs are far far away from logic so...The only thing I would like to see in positively in this track is the crying and repenting of Uma. His regret and remorse on losing Kanak. That is the only reason I'm looking forward to this track, if implemented in the coming days.
