Rani is bothered about what Aarti said. She then packs Rohan's toys and clothes. When Raj comes in, he asks her as to what is she doing. She tells him that she is packing Rohan's bag to send him to her dad's house. Raj tells her that he knows that she is taking this step because of what Aarti said but she tells him that it is not Aarti's fault and that she is right in her place as well. Raj tells her that she finds good qualities in every person even if they have done the wrong thing.
Cheenu cries for his mom. Amit calls Madhu. Madhu tells him to attend to him for a while but he refuses. She then tells him that she forgot that Cheenu's responsibility is solely on her. Amit leaves from there in anger. Cheenu asks for his mom. Madhu tells him that she is here for him and hugs him.
Yash calls Rani to inform her that Raj had just dropped off Rohan but had to leave right away, as he was probably getting late for work. Rani has a sad look on her face as she tells him that he had to go to work indeed. After she speaks to him, Madhu comes over with Cheenu. She asks Rani if she could leave him for a few hours, as she has to attend a meeting. Rani agrees but Surekha isn't too happy about it.
Rani takes Cheenu in her room and tries to cheer him up by giving him lots of toys to play with but he doesn't show interest in them. She then tells him that she would show him a magic trick and then gives him a chocolate but he doesn't take it. She asks him as to what does she want her to give him. He says that he wants his mom. Rani tells him that the lady who brought him there is his mother but he says that she is his teacher. Rani tells him that God did magic and turned his mother's face into his teacher's face. He refuses to believe it but Rani tells him that she is indeed his mother, as she loves him as a mother. He then starts smiling and takes the chocolate from her.
Rani excitedly shares her experience with Cheenu with Surekha and Aarti. Aarti tells her that she still doesn't understand why Madhu wants to adopt Cheenu. Rani tells her that every child deserves the love of a mother and that if one gives love to a person, it would spread everywhere. Aarti tells her that such things do not happen in reality. Surekha asks them to stop it. Rani tells her that she and Aarti were once outsiders for her but after marriage, she gave them the love of a mother just like how Madhu loves Cheenu. Surekha thinks about this.
Cheenu is sitting alone outside and is crying when Surekha sees him. She joins him and asks him as to what happened. He calls her 'nani'. Upon hearing this, she gets emotional and takes him in his arms. She tells him a story and makes him go to sleep. Rani smiles as she sees this. When Madhu returns, she is happy to see Surekha with Cheenu.
Raj goes to look for a job at a lot of places but doesn't get any. He returns home, downhearted but Rani tries to make him feel better.
The following day, as Raj is about to leave the house, Surekha gives him some money but he refuses to take it. She then places it in his pocket. Aarti sees this and is upset.
