Richa is a 19 year old girl from Ghaziabad. Her family dotes on her. She is good at studies. And she is passionate about dancing and wants to be a choreographer. Of course, life had a few nasty surprises in stock for her. At the age of 4, Richa's skin started showing a few black spots. By the time she was in her teens, the pigmentation, especially on the facial skin, had reached a level where her own friends and teachers started shunning her. Despite being a good student and a good dancer, she was repeatedly discouraged and ridiculed at the school by others. Her family consulted numerous doctors and the verdict was always the same – 'there's no cure for her problem'. Her confidence started ebbing till there came a time when she decided to resign to her fate and started killing her dream of becoming a choreographer. She found solace only at home and hardly every stepped out to face the world. Dr. Ajaya Kashyap, the show's plastic surgeon, decided to try his luck where a lot of others had failed. At the same time, he cautioned everyone, including Richa, against becoming too hopeful of the results. According to Dr. Kashyap, this was easily one of the most difficult cases he had handled not only on the show, but also in his career spanning 16 years. When her selection for the treatment on the show was announced to Richa and her family, it was a great surprise for them. They looked at this as the last try – what if this also failed? The next 5 months that Richa spent at the recovery mansion, undergoing periodic laser and chemical peeling sessions, would see a topsy-turvy journey of hope turning to despair and again turning to hope and finally to the kind of result that every one, including Dr. Kashyap and Richa had hoped for – Richa's pigmentation got reduced by almost 80%. That was not all. Richa, while at the recovery mansion, was also given training in modern dancing skills at the Shyamak Daver Institute for Performing Arts. A confident, almost blemishless Richa was presented back to her family at the reveal – as she smiled and waved at the family, looking resplendent in a beautiful red dress, her family was in tears. They admitted that even they had given up hope of ever curing Richa's problem. Richa, after her reunion with the family, was flown to Mumbai to give an audition to Shyamak Daver. Her performance impressed Shyamak so much that he offered her one of the most privileged dance training courses at his institute. Then came the final surprise for Richa – a meeting with the man of her dreams – film star, John Abraham. For Richa, her dreams have started sprouting wings again.
