Get ready for SRK's IPL dhamaka

Like all things concerning the King Khan, the IPL and especially matches involving his team the Kolkatta Knight Riders is said to be one big gala event. After having wrapped up the first schedule of shooting for his quiz show Paachvi Pass, SRK is now devoting every waking moment to ensure that cricketing fans have a complete fun filled day every time his team plays.

Song and Dance

Put together by Vishal and Shekhar, the team's theme song is called "Korbo, Lorbo, Jitbo" (We will do it, fight it and win it). But that's not the only song and dance you can expect. Sources tell us that Khan has lined up performances by his friends in the industry.

"SRK has roped in the Moranis and Ganesh Hegde to choreograph and manage his performance. There are going to be a total of nine matches in Eden Gardens in Kolkata – the home ground of his team – where he will be performing live in the break. They will be erecting a huge stage which will take up almost one entire section in the stands. And each live act will be spectacular and will see SRK dance along with other Bollywood heroines," says our source. With their Bengalis genes backing them Bipasha Basu and Rani Mukherji are already confirmed. Khan is also sporting a newly acquired but temporary tattoo to go with the look he has planned for the opening match. The buzz suggests that for round one Khan might take to the stage himself.

Fireworks Galore

While we are sure that when the Kolkata Knight Riders face the Delhi Warriors in their opening match there will be fireworks on the field but off the field too there will be a whole lot of dhoom dhadaka. Officials from the Moranis' office tell us that a spectacular showcase of fireworks has been lined up for the special day. "The biggest and the loudest firecrackers will be showcased on that day. We are going all out," they say.

Taare Zameen Par

No no neither Aamir nor Darsheel will be there! But the man himself, Shah Rukh Khan, will be signing himself up as the twelfth man for his team and will be seen supporting his team on the pitch. "Shah Rukh is going to be the twelfth man… the reserve... the man who will bring drinks in between overs, new bats and gloves for the men on the pitch. He is going to be involved every step of the way," says our source.

Gold Galore

For the Man of the Match there will be no simple cheque doled out. SRK has tied up with a jeweller to make a helmet out of gold that will be gifted to the man of the match!
