8th and 9th April Written Update

Yesterdays update wasn't up so here are both in very, very brief....please excuse all spelling mistakes!😳

8th April Update:

Liza is wearing a Punjabi suit and Abhay places the dupatta on her head saying that now she looks like a bride.  Liza smiles and asks him to tell her about Indian weddings – he sits her down and tries to explain how the haldi ceremony works.  Just then the doorbell rings and Abhay is happy to see Rama there with Naina [the servant].  They both become emotional and Liza also takes Rama's blessings before she sits them both down and performs the haldi ceremony on Abhay.

Naina asks for music and Liza plays an English CD; Abhay apologises to Rama saying that this is all Liza has but Rama smiles and says that two cultures are about to emet and so they should accept everything.  Abhay is happy and Rama sits Liza down to apply haldi on her.  Luiza pulls a face but Abhay tells her that this is a form of blessing and besides, it will enhance her beauty even more.  Liza smiles and agrees to have the rest of the haldi put on.

Guest House…

Lajjo's haldi ceremony is going on.  All the women dance and Lajjo's mami tries to get a reluctant Lajwanti to join in as well as Jaswant watches and becomes emotional.  He places his hand on Lajjo's forehead before going to a side and crying.  Lajwanti becomes worried but he tells her that eh is happy with this wedding as she is moving on to a wonderful family but the pain of letting her go is to much for him. 

Lajwanti cries and replies that if being parted from her brings so much pain then she won't leave.  Mami comforts and explains that this is life and a girl is 'paray dan' from the second she is born.  Lajwanti asks her mama and mami to take care of Jaswant after she leaves.  They all become emotional.

Singh house…

Wedding preparations are going on.  Ranbir comes in and tells Nandu to tell Rama to bring tea.  Nandu replies that Rama is out and Ranbir looks surprised asking where she's gone.  Rekha smirks and informs him that Rama is at Abhay's performing the haldi ceremony.  Ranbir is furious that she didn't take his permission first but Rekha taunts him that on the occasion of the wedding Rama doesn't have to take his permission for everything.

She bitterly adds that she's happy with Uday's decision to marry otherwise she would not have got a daughter-in-law like Lajwanti and he would not have got a daughter-in-law like Liza.  Ranbir becomes impatient and tells her to say whatever she wants straight.  Rekha agrees and tells him that on the wedding day, they will both stand together and welcome their bahus otherwise neither Liza nor Lajwanti will come in to the house.

The family are stunned.

Rekha wonders why Ranbir has not exploded and decided to cancel the wedding after decision and thinks to herself that Ranbir is surely planning something.

9th April Written Update:

Rama comes in with Naina and Rekha smiles, asking how the haldi ceremony went.  Rama is quiet and Rekha assures her that she has already informed Ranbir about where she had gone and tells her that Ranbir has a big heart to accept Liza and allow all these rasams to happen.  Ranbir gives Rama a look and leaves.  Rekha thinks to herself that instead of creating a Ruckus and cancelling the weddings, Rambir left quietly and wonders what eh is planning.

Rekha's room…

Uday expresses his gratitude to Rekha about everything she is doing in regards to Abhay.  She smiles and tells him that she is just trying to get the son of this family in to this hosue and will not be happy until both of her bahus are by her side.  Uday si elated and hugs her as Rekha smirks to herself.

R-R's room…

Rama is nervous but Rabir sasy that he is not upset with her and knows who sent her and why.  Rama is happy and hugs him before asking if he really is prepared to welcome Liza in to the house.  Ranbir is about to leave but she pleads in front of him, asking him to let everything go peacefully and not do anything out of anger.  He softens and replies that he never says a wrong thing but if there is one person who gets her way through the wrong methods then that's Rekha.  He leaves.

Morning…

Last minute lists of what needs to be done are being made.  Ranbir comes in and says that they should also organise a Sangeet and Dadi agrees, adding that a Mehndhi ceremony should also be included.  Rekha is agitated saying that they are all from the village and will not be able to adjust to their style of celebrations.  Dadi replies that it will help Lajwanti to adjust.  Ranbir smirks at Rekha as he makes a call to Jaswant who readily agrees.

Guest house…

Jaswant tells Mama and Mami about the Sangeet and Mehndhi ceremony.  However Mama disagrees saying that Lajwanti can't go to her in-laws before the wedding, as it is she can't leave the house.  Jaswant and Mami disagree on this but Mama doesn't relent.  Jaswant becomes upset and says that after all the hurdles they faced to get Lajwanti married, eh doesn't want to create any problems and wants everything to go smoothly and gives his final decision that they will go.  Mama finally agrees.

R-R's room…

Banwari congratulates Ranbir on his move with the Sangeet and Mehndhi ceremony.  He says that it will be happy occasion and slips in that Abhaya nd Liza should be there but corrects himself when Ranbir gives him a look.  Rekha overhears struggles to understand what Ranbir is planning to do.

Later…

Huma is deciding on songs for the Sangeet but Naina says that they should have modern songs.  Rekha comes in with a song selection and hands it over to Huma.  Anjana and Vinaya re upset that Rekha actually seems happy with this wedding but she assures them that neither one of the weddings will take place.

Hotel…

Abhay has a mehndhi cone out and tries to put Mehndhi on Liza's hands who smiles at him and says that she loves him for doing so much for her.  Doorbell rings and it's Rakha – Abhay is happy to see her and introduces her to Liza.  Rekha invites him to the Sangeet saying that the whole family want him back in the house and besides, if he apologises to Ranbir then problems can be sorted out.

Abhay hesitantly agrees.  Rekha smiles to herself anf thinks that now with Abhay's presence she will finally be able to work out what Rabir is scheming.  Besides her aim is not to bring both sons to the house but to stop the two weddings taking place.

Lajwanti is not happy about going to the Sangeet.

Ooh; can't wait for the Sangeet😳....But Rekha is getting on my nerves now!
