Although I thought I wasn;t going to update during my exams…but today I just seem to me happy…my exam was good (Thanks for all the wishes…) and KYM was good(I'm still dreaming abt Shabbo…lol)
So here is a small update…Ok this chapter starts exactly from where the last chapter finished…sorry for the typos…just finished writing….
Chapter 14 "Unexpected, unexpected, unexpected" Prachi paced around the bed as she recalled what had happened downstairs. Had she said too much. It wasn't her fault if she had fallen in love with her husband. She had just wanted to see his reaction but then there was that phone call. Why was she always so unlucky? Then again, she wondered who had called him. She was sure it wasn't anyone from work. No one would dare to call Milind Mishra late at night. It might have been something important. She decided to go and find out.
As she entered, she found Milind beside the window staring at the sky. He was some where lost in his deep thoughts. She slowly walked up to him and placed her hand on his shoulder. He turned around to look down at her.
"Is every things ok…I mean who called late this night…is it the doctor…is baba alright" she asked all concerned.
"Don't worry…everything is fine. It was actually Neev who called"
"Neev??" she asked all puzzled. Why on earth would Neev call Milind instead of her? Was he alright? Had anything happened to him? So many questioned ran through her head.
Seeing her confused look he reassured her "I told you there is nothing to worry…He called because he is going to stop here during his tour, and he was wondering if we could organize some charity show at our hotel…that's it nothing to worry"
"Neev is coming…oh my god and he didn't even bother to tell me…" she said all excited.
Milind stared at his wife, if there was someone who could bring a smile on her face it was Neev. A slight information about him made her more than happy and for what might be the reason he didn't always like it. Not that he didn't like to see her happy, he really did but not when the reason behind it was Neev.
She was so happy that Neev was coming. He would be so happy to see Bobby and so would Bobby. Without saying anything to Milind, she went towards Bobby's room to give him the good news. But at her surprise, she found Sukriti in Bobby's room.
"What are you two doing?" she asked as she entered the room
"Oh nothing bhabhi…we are just discussing some serious matter"
Serious matter, she didn't like the sound of it, nonetheless she said what she had come to say.
"Bobby, I have good news…actually it's a good news for you too Sukriti…Neev is coming…not for long but he is…"
"When did he call" asked Bobby. He was glad that Neev was coming. He was always like an elder brother to him.
"Oh, he didn't call me. He called Milind. You know when we were playing that game and some one called…well it was Neev, he had some business matter to discuss with Milind…"
No matter how much she loved Neev, at that moment Sukriti thought of killing him. He had ruined her beautiful plan. She wouldn't spare him once she saw him.
"Well anyways…now you guys tell me what's this serious matter you were discussing earlier" asked Prachi
"Di…its nothing…its already late you go to bed…jiju must be waiting.." he said smiling at her.
Prachi, wished both of them good night and left for her room. As soon as Prachi left, Sukriti turned around to look at Bobby "Let Neev come…Agrr…couldn't find a better time to call"
"Relax…maybe what happened was for the better our next plan seems better"
"Well I guess you are right…the dinner we are planning would definitely work and this time I would make sure bhaiya doesn't have his cell phone" saying this, she left as she went through all the thinks she would have to do tomorrow for this dinner. She couldn't believe that she would have to play cupid between her bhaiya and bhabhi.
As Prachi, entered, she found Milind already in bed. Not trying to make any noise, she changed and went to bed as well. Just as she was about to fall asleep, she heard Milind's voice.
"We were playing a game downstairs right…I mean what you said was…"
She had her back towards him. It had affected him in some way she thought. Smiling at herself she replied "Good night Milind"
Not having the exact answer he wished for, he mumbled back "Good night" and went back to sleep.
The next morning, as Milind left for work, he heard Sukriti calling him from behind.
"Bhiaya…I want you to come home early today its Saturday so don't work late and don't ask questions…just come home as soon as possible"
Milind nodded and left. He didn't have any intention of staying late. Sukriti was happy as Milind didn't argue. So far everything was going according to the plan. She had booked one of the best restaurants in the neighborhood. Only if she knew that fate had different plans stored for them.
That very evening as Milind returned home, he was very agitated. He didn't say anything to anyone as he went straight to his room. Prachi, who was concerned by his behavior, followed him.
"Is everything all right" she asked as she entered the room
"Yeah…its just that I need to go out of country today…I mean right now…there have been some problem in our hotel back in London…and they need me…" he said as he took out a luggage and started to pack some clothes.
"I hope its nothing serious" she said as she helped him pack
"I don't know…I will have to go and see…can you look after everything here…"
"I'll manage everything here… you don't worry, just take care of yourself"
As they both descended the stairs with the luggage, Sukriti came forward. "Where are you guys going" she asked
"Its not us…its Milind, there have been some problem in London and he has to go immediately" explained Prachi and left with Milind for airport
Sukriti stood there looking at Bobby. She couldn't believe it. First Neev and now this. Her plans never failed, then why was all this happening. What sort of game was destiny playing.
"So what do we do now" asked Bobby all disappointed.
"Well, at the moment, what we need to do is go to that restaurant have dinner. I didn't organize all that for nothing. I'll call Saket and tell him to join us…" she said all frustrated and headed towards the phone.
Prachi waved Milind good bye as he passed through the gates. For the first time, Milind felt like he was leaving something important behind. As he looked back at Prachi a smile had formed on his lips. Her presence was affecting him more than he had imagined. Maybe this trip would help him figure out the missing pieces. He waved back and disappeared through the glass doors.

Milind had arrived at London early in the morning. He immediately went to his hotel from the airport. Things weren't as bad as he thought. Mr. Sharma had panicked and overreacted a bit. Milind, on the other hand wasn't mad at all, sooner or later, he would have to London. Now that he was here, he would stick around for some time and take a look at the management of the hotel and make sure everything was in place.
Later that night as he laid on the bed, he had felt a sudden emptiness. He looked at his left side. He had gotten use to seeing Prachi sleeping beside him and now it felt weird not having her beside him. He tried to sleep but he just couldn't. Was he actually missing Prachi? He sat up and took the phone. He had a sudden urged to call her and hear her voice.
"Hello" said Prachi on the other side. But Milind didn't reply.
"Hello" she said again…but there was no reply. She could hear the breathing but the person didn't say anything.
"Milind is that you…is everything fine back there" she asked. Milind was taken back by this. He hadn't uttered a single word yet she had found out it was him.
"Ya…everything is fine…I just called to know if everything is fine there"
"Its okay…anything else…"
"No…bye" he said and hanged up.
As he stood up, he saw himself in the mirror. The Milind Mishra that he once knew was not the Milind Mishra he saw. Today, he saw the Milind Mishra that was Prachi Mishra's husband. And this sudden fact made him realize the biggest truth of his life. Everything made more sense. Him being jealous at Neev's party, his attraction towards her, the effect of that poem…everything was crystal clear in front of his eyes. The very thing that he feared the most had happened. He had fallen in love with him wife. As ironic as it sound, he knew it was true.
This sudden realization made him nervous. This was not supposed to happen. They had made a deal and this was not part of it. But then again, it didn't say anything about falling in love; it wasn't part of any of the conditions.
As he walked around, he wondered what he would do. What sort of twist did his life take? He couldn't just go and tell her. He would first have to find out, if he had a place in her heart and if he didn't, then he would make sure to have one. Now that he had fallen in love, he wasn't going to let destiny come in between. After all, he was Milind Mishra and he was known for getting anything he wished for. He would get his wife, in all the true meaning.
Coming up: (Although I'm not sure when I'll be able to update) Milind's return along with Neev.
Thanks and Take care
