Arshad Warsi didn't get a chance to dance in the Rakesh Roshan comedy Krazzy 4.
The actor was told he could not do what he always wanted to, because it would go against his character. The actor told a Mumbai-based paper, "I told the director, Raja Sen, that I wanted to dance. I was told it would go against my character."
The actor was naturally disappointed but maintained that it had nothing to do with the supposed 'fallout' with the director after Raja opted out of Arshad's first home production at the last minute. "We may not be working together. But we respect each other. I don't mind that I didn't get to dance in Krazzy 4. I'll dance my heart out in my own production. Producing your own film means no one can stop you from doing what you want," he told the paper.
On losing Raja as director, he said, "This often happens when an actor or a director gets recognition overnight. After news spread that he had done a good job in Krazzy 4, Raja was flooded with offers and he no longer found my project worthy of his attention. I immediately approached my friend Kabeer Kaushik, who directed Saher. I had always wanted Kabeer but he was busy with Chamko, so I approached Raja. But now, Kabeer will be free in May and will start my film."
