Reason for Bachchans missing the Filmfare

Last weekend saw the 53rd Fair One Filmfare Awards function. It was Shah Rukh and Saif who took the center stage and entertained the crowd with their hilarious conversation. The crowd spilt in to peels of laughter every other minute. While it was a gala event for the award winners and many others who were present, some of the front runners of the Bollywood family were very conspicuous by their absence.

Yes! You got it right. We are talking about the Bachchan family. The Big B, wife Jaya, Son Abhi and bahu Aish were not present for the awards function. Many people were saying many things. While some said that it was because Shah Rukh was hosting the show that the Big B and family were missing, some others said it was because they did not bag many nominations and that is why they were absent.

But here is the moment of truth.

The reason for the Bachchan family not attending the function was because the Bachchans were mourning the death of Big B's mother Teji Bachchan's death, which happened just towards the end of 2007.

So the Bachchans who were in no mood to celebrate absented themselves for the Filmfare event. Now that is a good reason to put the cork tight into every rumor monger's mouth!

now didn't all of attended the red carpet for jodha akbar just last week...weren't they mourning at that point...wat a double standard if this is true...i think its because of srk and they didn;t get any nomination

hmmm wasn't it because Amar singh's dad died and family was in mouring.. that is what i read in farah khan ali's party article.. farah said ash called her told her she can't attend the party cause of the reason above. 😊 /// oh so they did not attend.. get over it media. stop printing article after article.. 😆 its either saif-kareena/ranbir-deepika or srk-bachchans..media needs find new victims 😆

During IFFA 2007, srk wasnt there and the bachchans were..
During Filmfare 2008, srk was there and the bachchans werent...
