At Pandey residence

Jagat confrontation with Kashinath continues. Jagat swears to get even with Aditya. Kashinath says he was unable to save Abha from Aditya but managed to save Sanya.
Kashinath tells Jagat that he was ready to persecute Aditya but Banu Pratab posted bail.
Jagat calls Banu to find out where he is. He wants to meet him.

Vikram questions his mother about the enemity between Kashi and Banu.  His mother advises him to leave Benaras and never return. Vikram is unwilling. He questions his mother as to why he doesn't feel close to his father.  If his mother will not tell him the truth then he will seek it outside.  He tells her he needs to know the truth as it directly affects his future.

Jagat meets with Banu and questions him about posting Aditya's bail. Banu admits. Jagat says he realizes that Banu was using him against Kashinath.

Sanya prays at the temple in Pandey residence. Sharada is there.  Sharada says that Kashinath has done justice by her.  They bond.  Jiji/Taiji is watching.

As Sanya is unpacking in her room, she sees a photograph of Aditya. Taiji comes to the room and instigates her. She tells her that Kashinath is responsible for Aditya present state.

Vikram talks to his father. He wants to share his father's problems. With it a chance to get to know his father better. Banu tells him that his only problem is Kashinath Pandey. Banu says he was good friends with Visvanath, Kashinath's brother and that Banu was about to be Chief Minister. Then Kashinath got jealous and killed his brother.  That has destroyed Banu.  Kashinath Pandey sent him to jail. He said he is waiting for Vikram to return as collector in Benaras and undo the wrong done unto his father. Banu says he is afraid that his family will be destroyed just as what he did to Jagat.
Vikram swears to return as collector and take revenge on Dehdahji.
Banu is extremely pleased.
