I dont' think that is the case.
Simran considers Urmila a friend. She felt that she could share her sorrow with her.
Secondly, it's not like Urmilla doesn't know the truth about Simran's and Aastha's relationship.
She saw the whole drama unfold in front of her eyes. Not to mention, she talks to her son Sid.
Sid usually has nothing positive to say about Aasth anyway.
So I don't see what the big deal is anyway.
