Happy Independence Day to all. Never take this day lightly. This day came to us due to the sacrifice and struggle of lots of human lives.

Even today our army jawans are willing to give up their lives to uphold that freedom. My thanks to all of them.

"Where the mind is without fear
and the head is held high;
Where knowledge is free;
Where the world has not been
broken up into fragments by
narrow domestic walls;
Where words come out from
the depth of truth;
Where tireless striving stretches
its arms towards perfection;
Where the clear stream of reason
has not lost its way into the dreary
desert sand of dead habit;
Where the mind is lead forward by thee
into ever-widening thought and action-
Into that heaven of freedom, my Father,
let my country awake."
           "GEETANJALI"
                         RABINDERANATH TAGORE

Indian independence is not just a day to celebrate like one's birthday. It is the time to think about the sacrifices made by many so that we can now enjoy life without much difficulties. It is the time to think about those who shed their blood to see a smile upon our faces.
I hope people just don't treat it like a holiday to celebrate or wish friends and relatives. There is nothing wrong in doing it but a true Indian should know the real meaning of it.
