SRK and Akshay Kumar: The latest buddies in town
The latest male bonding happening in Bollywood is between Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar.
Both the top stars had done Yash Chopra's Dil To Pagal Hai (1997) together but have never been together since then. But now they shall be seen first dancing together in Heyy Babyy and later this year in SRK's home production, Om Shanti Om. SRK is very keen on getting their jodi going and has started taking steps towards it.

A Bollywood source informs, "Both the stars hit it off on Heyy Babyy's sets in Film City, Mumbai where they met while shooting a wedding dance sequence for the Sajid Khan film." Our source, present on the sets, then overheard both of them discussing everything right from their kids, family, holidays and movies.
A friend of the Khiladi star tells us, "So impressed was the King Khan by Akshay's dedication and work ethics that he immediately offered him a cameo part in his home production, Om Shanti Om. Akki readily obliged and did the part for free."
"Now their camaraderie has even extended to SRK offering him a major parallel role in his upcoming home production, the fantasy thriller, Joker. The film's writer-director Shirish Kunder, who had directed Akshay in his debut film last year, Jaan-E-Mann was on the look out for the villain's part and when he told SRK that he wanted someone who is very good in action scenes, the Chak De star immediately recommended Akshay's name." the friend says.
"Akshay hasn't given his nod yet but is seriously considering the proposal. He is amongst the busiest stars in Bollywood today and has to sort out his date's diary that's all packed till early 2008," adds the friend.
"Both Akshay and SRK hardly had any scenes together in DTPH but now if they come together, it will be a great combination to watch. Both are big stars with a huge loyal fan base and command a great hold on the box office. Akshay has even made a comeback to SRK's stronghold, the Yash Raj camp with his on floors, Tashan," comments a Bollywood trade analyst.
