Jahnu Barua may direct Amitabh Bachchan

Jahnu Barua , the director who made poignant movies like the much-acclaimed Maine Gandhi Ko Nahin Mara , is now gearing to direct Bollywood mega superstar Amitabh Bachchan .

It will be perhaps National Award winning director Barua's biggest commercial debut till date.



The director who made poignant movies like 'Halodhiyaa Soraye Baau Dhaan Khai', and the much-acclaimed 'Maine Gandhi Ko Nahin Mara' with Urmila Matondkar and Anupam Kher , is now gearing to direct some of the biggies of Bollywood.

Bachchan, Dimple Kapadia , Preity Zinta and Shiney Ahuja will act in his film to be produced by Tony Juneja.

Juneja had earlier made films like 'Mr. Natwarlal', 'Ram Balram' with Bachchan amongst others.

Big B and the gorgeous Dimple have earlier come together in movies like 'Ajooba' and Mrityudaata to name a few.

However, this is Preity's first film with Shiney and Barua's first with this cast.

What needs to be seen now is whether Barua brings out award winning performances from these actors who have always managed to rule the box office.
