i know writing petitions is not really my cup of tea but after yesterdays episode, i cant help but write one.
I personaly started watching Kasam se only because of Ram Kapoor. but more than ram kapoor what i fell in love with was his character...Jai Walia...The Jai Walia.
a shrewd businessman for whom everything is fair in love and war and in business. He had the power to bring people on their knees with one look.
there was discipline, there was terror of his name.we all could see an aura around him.all those days i thought that such rude and business minded person must be having a human side to him which did surfaced sometimes but it was a blink and miss type.
even when he decided to shelter three orphan sisters in his own house, he had no soft corner for them.He asked for the rent from them saying that Mumbai is indeed a city of opportunities but opportunities do not come your way just like that....you have to work hard and pay harder for them.He gave them a chance to live with dignity than making them feel obligated.
it was a pleasure always to hear him speak. his raving and ranting was may be the best music i ever heard.😆
when all this happened, i wondered if he was a stone cold person. a person devoid of any emotion or feeling.
but things changed a little later with the arrival of three sisters.
he knew he was rendering home to a windstorm...windstrom who can bring his entire house down as these three girls were dixit's...Dixits whom he had devastated few years back...
he was man enough to keep them under his own roof. was it difficult for him to simply shoo them away?? no. it was not. but he chose to support them. overcoming a guilt by paying the deceased's husband was not difficult for him but he followed his principles and welcomed a hurricane in his house.
Hurricane called Pia.
she was sulty, dreamy eyed girl who dreamt of a prince charming and prince charming only.when both her sisters chose to keep to themselves and remember that they are not Walias and that they are orphans living with the support of a man called Jai walia...Pia was a widemouthed.
She made Jai walia realise that he had money,name and fame but no life as such. he was one boring person wearing black Armani's all the time..a person who never attended parties for fun...
and for the very first time in his life he changed. but was there love?? i dont think so.
he changed cause he was challenged. The same old jai walia was intact, treating Pia as challenge. and like any other genius he fell in love with his challenge.
He indeed was stern and strict but he could agnize people and their abilities well. thats how he saw Fire in Bani Dixit and promoted her from a mere housekeeper to GM of walia hotels.he knew how to win over his challege. he did that ultimately and then he was sitting in Mandap to savor his winnings when his world came crashing down on him when instead of Pia,Bani sat beside him as his bride.
His manhood was challenged. His power was challeged. his monarchy was challeged.
he fired up every trash of feeling he had in his mind and once again became the same old ruthless jai walia..trying to search Pia and his traitor prodigy Pushkar for backstabbing him.
meanwhile he realised that the fire he saw in bani indeed resides there when she beat him in his own game and got Pia pushkar married right there in his own house.
he was frustrated, confused, bewildered with the turn of events.
but finally he made Pushkar and Pia go on their knees and beg for the forgiveness.that was The Jai Walia.
he was blind for years not to realise importance of a partner in his life. He thought of himself as someone who is well above the bookish ideas of love and life. He was betrayed by his love and healed by someone he thought ditched him.
he was always adamant and stubborn. similarly he couldnt take Bani's care, love in the same way. he was afraid of being ditched once again.
though he always supressed his human side, it surfaced when his beloved masi arrived just as an angel.
he fought with himself against of falling for bani but it happened. even then he was concerned for her and her future. though he tied her blouse's doris like any other loving husband, he knew his limits and then thought about divorcing her. he was indeed dumb not to realise bani's feelings first of all but i guess park road raaz was somthing which held him back.
then he thought one fine day as to why is he so bothered about Bani knowing Park Road secret??? he never flinched in seven years before that then why now?? was he afraid of Bani's reaction?? if yes then why??
and then he realised the answer and he was not willing to accept it. he loved bani. loved everything she did for him and his family.
very slowly he felt himself falling in the trap called love. No one dared speak to Jai walia in high notes but Bani simply blew him when she got jealous one day. but Jai smiled. he blushed when he responded to her 'suniye jee' with Kahiye jee.he was desperate for her company, her existence around him. it was a habit earlier which later on turned in necessity for life.
thats when 19th june happened. He realised that Bani loved him. it was her teary face which stuck him hard that he loved her too. he couldnt see her crying. he couldnt see her insecure. he had to make her his own. he had to tell her that she is the one for me. he had to convey that she is his wife and she has all the rights that a woman deserves from her man.it didnt matter how many affairs he had in his past, it didnt matter how many nights he spent with his ex flames...bani is his present and bani will be his future.
to convey all this, he chose way as distinguished as he was. he vanished all her insecurities by making her what she wanted to be all this time...his woman...his wife..his forced but beloved wife.
later on when he realised what has happened, he did not shrugg off his responsibility saying that he was too drunk to remember what happened..neither did he forced to accept her what has happened. he took entire blame and oathed that it will never happen again if she did not want it.
i know dumb..a pure unadultrated dumb he was!! couldnt see the sad gleam in Bani's eyes when he tried to apologise next morning but then when a man is ditched by his previous love, what would you accept.
then we saw his face burning red everytime Park Road raaz was mentioned. he didnt want to lose bani. he didnt want lose what he wanted to cherish all his life.he was panicked. The Jai walia was panicked and decided to kill himself off than seeing hatred in bani's eyes...
a true love i must say.
that was the omnious day for all of us. that was the precise moment when Jai walia was no more The Jai walia.
very unfortunately his love turned into his biggest weakness.
i need not tell you rest of the story..you know how Mighty Jai Walia failed.
i need to see this original Jai walia. Jai walia who despite of being drunk was able to shrugg off Roshni and tell her that he was merely drunk and not dead.
i want that jai walia back who would block harm even before it advanced on bani.
i want him back in his black suit, ruthless avtaar. something we all loved then and still do.
