Broken finger nails

Guys I need tips cause I have natural long fingers n nails

But the tips get chipped off very often

I have a manicure once a month n apply nail polish once a week as well as nail hardner as a finishing coat

Do u guys have any tips for me

Also I've bought the new one which has nail strengtener within the nail polish
U r right about shortening the nail n filing more often
