here are the initial episodes for those who missed. my thanks to nivrae from bollyteens forum for these.
ep 1
we are introduced to the family. First to the mother Sushasini, who seems to be haunted about a secret from the past that concerns her family....we meet Disha (or just the body cause they dont show the face) who seems to be the favorite of the father Vijeyandra. We also meet Ranu, who is the youngest daughter, who considers herself an adult now, but still has some childish qualities within her. The storyline for this ep goes that it seems a person named "Inder" is coming to India, which makes Ranu excited...also, we also get a glimpse at the fact that the father speaks highly of Disha, while she is not the favorite of her mother however. Thus ends ep 1
ep 2
We finally see Disha (who reminds me of Rimjhim). She is the "perfect" daughter who cooks and takes care of everyone else in the house. We also meet Upen's brother, who seems ok, and his wife, who thinks of nothing but makeup and such. We meet the grandfather, who like the father, speaks highly of Disha. We also get to see the mother's dislike of Disha when she attempts to help pick out a suit for Ranu for a festival. When it is time to pick up Inder from airport, who is the son of the family friend, Disha is forced to stay home because of the mother and waits there, while everyone else goes. Yet Inder arrives to the house himself...we find out that Disha and Inder are in love...the family arrives home confused as they did not see Inder, yet find out he was home all along...Ranu seems smitten by him...he gives everyone gifts, yet however the gift he leaves for Disha gets taken by Ranu, who thinks its for her...Disha is left upset....end of episode

Ep 3 August 26 2004 Its early morning the next day. Disha calls Inder, yet he teases her a bit. She hangs up and he calls again. They are talking when Ranu comes and asks if its Inder. Just as Inder is about to ask Disha how she liked the set he gave her, Ranu snatches the phone and hears it. She says she loved it as Inder is shocked to hear Ranu, and more that she is the one with the gift. He says "Disha.." and Ranu says that Disha also liked it and gives the phone to her. Inder is furious and asks why Ranu has the gift that he gave to Disha, but she cant say anything because Ranu is there. Aai comes and tells her to wake up the others as they slept very late the previous night. So Disha goes and Inder hangs up, so Ranu tries to dial his number again, but he does not answer. He rings up later and Disha picks up again and explains to him that Ranu thought the gift was for her...and again Ranu comes and snatches the phone as she said that they got disconnected earlier. Again Inder gets upset that Ranu took the phone but talks to her anyways. Inder's dad is having breakfast and asks where is Inder. He is told Inder is on the phone and his dad gets upset and goes to see what he is doing. He goes to Inder's room and from what Inder is saying, asks who is it? A girlfriend perhaps? But Inder denies it and tells him he will know everything in due time. As he leaves, his dad checks his cell and finds out he called Upen's house number and wonders why he called there so early. Aai is upset cause Disha is so distracted that she forgot to pick out a suit for the dad and calls her irresponsible. Disha comes and apologizes to her and dad for forgetting . Aai gives her a million other tasks to do and Disha says alright. Disha finds Ranu outside and Ranu confides to her that she is in love with someone. Disha is very happy and asks who, but Ranu doesnt say because she isnt sure if he feels the same way. She decides to write him a letter, and if he reciprocates her feelings, then she will tell Disha. Inder meanwhile calls again and Disha picks up. She cant talk too much because Ranu is in the same room but wishes him luck for a project he has to present today. When Ranu asks who it is, she tells her that it is her friend. Aai comes in and also asks who it was and Disha lies and tells her its her friend "Maya". Ranu gets confused as she thought Maya had left for Australia. Disha asks Aai if she can go to Maya's house and Aai says no, she has to take lunch to her dad. Disha is happy about that as Inder will also be there. Aai tells Ranu to go study as she doesnt do anything else. Ranu thinks to herself that the letter might not be enough, and should think of a more straight forward way to tell Inder how she feels. She gets an idea and is very happy. Meanwhile, at the meeting, everyone is going over the jewelry designs they have. Everyone is pleased, and of course, all the designs were by Disha. Yet some are still pessimistic about the deal because they are trying to get a man named DK Saigal to buy this deal, and he is supposed to be a really hard man to please, as we get a glimpse of him at his company Kanaka. DK is going to another meeting, where he needs to pick a model for one of his deals. He hates all the chosen models and wants someone else, who is trustworthy and would make people gasp. Cue Disha and Ranu approaching their dad's office and everyone, especially Inder, are happy they have come...ep ends... |

episode #4 August 31, 2004 Everyone at the office are eating what lunch that Disha brought. One person jokes that it is lucky that Inder is here as they are getting such good food, yet Disha's dad isnt cause he gets food that has no oil and such. Disha reminds him that his doctor said no to such foods. Inder's dad says how much Disha takes care of him and what a good daughter she is. Her dad says she isnt his daughter, but his mother. He also says he wonders who will take care of him when she is married. Ranu says shes there, but her cousin says that she too will marry soon too and Ranu grins. Disha says that she wont marry cause she wants to take care of dad, which makes Inder look at her a bit shocked. Her dad says that he will not get in the way of her settling down with someone and jokes that perhaps they should look for someone who is willing to be a ghar jamai. Inder isnt looking too happy and asks Ranu whether she would settle for a ghar jamai. Ranu says of course not and Inder compliments her on being a modern day girl. Inder's father is watching with interest. Disha leaves and Inder also excuses himself, but not before his father tells him to drop Disha and Ranu, which Inder is happy to do. Meanwhile, Ranu gets the folder which Inder is working on and puts her letter in there, and is looking vverrryy happy Outside, Inder meets Disha and questions her about the whole ghar jamai bit and again on the gift he had intended for her. She tells him again that Ranu thought it was for her and took it and Inder is angry. She apologizes and Inder reluctantly agrees, but on the condition that she gives him a kiss. Disha gets embarassed as Inder closes his eyes and asks her for that kiss. When he opens his eyes, Ranu is standing in front of him while Disha smirks from behind. Inder apologizes, but Ranu says there is no need. After an awkward silence, all three decide to go shopping. Meanwhile, DK Saigal is furious with one of his employees and demands he find a perfect model for him in 24 hours, so the guy goes to the mall to talk to some agencies. While there, he spots Ranu and follows her and takes pictures of her. While at a jewelry shop, Inder notices the guy taking photos of Ranu and goes to confront him. The girls see he is missing and go to see where he is. They see him beating up the guy who was taking the pictures. The guy apologizes and Inder takes the memory stick out of the camera and leaves. However, the guy has the original memory stick and grins. While in the car, there is a great silence, with Ranu's unsuccessful attempts to lighten the mood. They arrive home and Ranu says to Inder to not worry about that guy. At the house, she is telling her mom and dad how Inder beat up a guy for her and is so excited. Her mom is getting the hints Ranu is throwing out, but her dad says that they should have gone to the police. Her mom says that she now trusts Inder with her daughter and wont mind him taking her anywhere. Ranu thinks that she would want to go to his house :roll:. Meanwhile, it is late night and Inder's dad goes to check on Inder, who is fast asleep. He sits next to him and notices the folder. As he takes it, the note Ranu put in falls out and his dad reads it. He figures that is the reason that Inder calls the Bhonsles so much...he must like Ranu.. :shock: The next day, the guy is showing the pictures of different models to DK. He is not impressed until the pictures of Ranu and Disha come up. He tells the guy to call that girl up. The guy begins to gloat saying how HE found the girl Ranu and not some talent agengy and goes on and on about how he knew she was perfect. But DK says not Ranu, but the girl next to her in the yellow suit....and he uses his laser pen to pick out Disha...the guy stares in shock...ep ends. |
