42. Happy Pride Month – Gainesgraphics318

Greetings and best wishes friends. smiley27

Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one’s definition of your life. Define yourself. smiley10

The single best thing about coming out of the close is that nobody can insult you by telling you what you’ve just told them. Be human and respect your fellow humans. smiley27🩵💙💜💛

Happy Pride, fellas! 🌈🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈

Pride is a protest and it will remain so as long as we get universal recognition and not be illegal in 75+ countries.

We wear pride because we don't want to hide! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈🌈

"The term "pride" was chosen to contrast a reality of shame and oppression experienced by many LGBTQAI+ people for decades. Consequently, in a context where homosexuality was criminalized and stigmatized, declaring one's "pride" meant claiming dignity and the right to live one's identity openly, without fear of retaliation or discrimination. This word therefore represents a powerful affirmation of visibility and self-esteem in response to marginalization and violence"

Ok, I didn't know why the word 'pride' was chosen but now I realise it makes sense. I completely agree with the idea that people should not be shamed for their sexuality. smiley20

Best wishes for those celebrating the pride month 👍
