Toshu is seen starting his day’s work at the spices n chutney , he notices the days newspaper prominently displaying Anupama’s picture with the winning trophy in her hands , with a hugs write up about Anupama going all the way from a simple housewife to chef and now the winner of MCC. The entire front page is dedicated to Anupama’s journey n her victory l he gets so jealous that the uneducated woman reaches such heights of success while he being a topper n gold medalist in MBA was just a waiter . He tears up the newspaper and uses it to clean the glass panes. Another waiter notices this a confronts him, Toshu makes excuses and cooks up stories. Vikram arrives and calms them , he assures he had loads of newspapers , one for each table . They place one newspaper on each table .
Toshu feels pangs of jealousy , as he watches the workers feel proud of Joshi Ji .
At Shah house , the family is taken aback by the heavy jewellery sets Titu has gifted Dimpy. Vanraj and Baa question him about his income sources . Pakhi feels very jealous . She shares how she dreamt of going to Amreeka and fondly admired pic of Liberty Mata from her childhood days . It got faded and discoloured n was accidentally discarded by baa , she shares how much she cried after losing that picture . But today is her day of celebrations . America, newspapers giving front page article appreciating her story n her success . She dances with happiness . Anuj shares her every joy n feels so proud of her achievements . He wants her to keep going in life and not to look back . She must now progress further in life and Anupama assures she will.
Anupama meets Shruti and they have differences on celebrating Aadya’s birthday . Shruti fumes when Anuj gives preference to Anupama’s choice over Shruti’s .
At restaurant Toshu notices his close friends arriving He quickly removes his waiter’s apron n collar and pretends to be a visitor at his mother’s restaurant . He boasts of his achievements , how he was. Aperture her, how he inspired his mother to take part in the MCC and how he was the one who helped her . He boasts of himself lies through his teeth about owning this place . He places order rudely , he mistreats the waiter who takes the order and serves them water . He redely demands his order to be brought fast . Anupama and Yashdeep are shocked , so are the employees of the restaurant. Anupama is furious .
