Faf and Kohli started well in the powerplay before T Natarajan got the former.Kohli slowed down after the powerplay and was content on nudging and nurdling around. But Patidar took the pressure off him with a 19-ball 50.He hit four consecutive sixes off Markande and he fell at the wrong time for RCB. Green came in and played an useful hand even as Kohli fell after the 2nd strategic timeout, in an attempt to up the rate. Unadkat was the pick of the bowlers for SRH with his slower ball off-cutters doing the damage. T Natarajan too was good as he again kept it tight.

Patidar: "I think surface is double-paced, especially for the fast bowlers. We can use cutters well on this wicket. The spinners will try to bowl back of length as much as possible. Just planning my innings. I was not thinking about the half-century. [On planning to target Markande] It wasn't a plan but I started that over well so wanted to carry on the momentum. I think my plan of playing the spinner, I try to maximise the pressure on the bowler as much as possible."
