1Happy birthday to Urmila🌸.. My favourite songs of her since childhood days. In first song she looked the best and prettiest with cute dresses and amazing dance.

Masoom rangeela judai chamatkar
This thread should be longer. I have so many favorite films with Urmila who is one of my all-time fav actresses.
Adore her in Rangeela, Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya, Pinjar, Tehzeeb, Ek Hasina Thi, Kaun, Jaanam Samjha Karo, Deewane, Deewangee, Jungle, and Naina.

She and Salman had great chemistry in Janaam Samjha Karo but apparently they did not get along in real life at all. Salman is known for his pranks on his actresses and Urmila, who is more private and closed off, told him off for a prank he played on her. Salman refused to work with her again. I'm sure the decision was mutual.
The film Naina was also made in the US starring Jessica Alba. I saw the Jessica Alba film first and as gorgeous as Jessica Alba is, she is such a non-actress that the two performances are worlds apart. Naina is a much better film overall thanks to Urmila.
The film Om Jai Jagadish, Anupham Kher's directorial debut, which was originally intended to star SRK, Salman, Aamir, Kajol, Preity, and Rani, isn't a very good movie. I wonder if those 6 actors really were all booked for dates or just used that as an excuse to turn down the film. Out of the final cast, Urmila is the best and has the only good role of the movie playing a wealthy NRI who struggles to fit into a more traditional, tightknit family. She's playing the role Kajol was supposed to play which might explain why she has the meatiest role since the other two female roles are basically nonexistent.
Fardeen Khan has never been an actor I cared for, but I'll say this that the only times I've found him likable was when he was paired with Urmila in Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya, Om Jai Jagadish, and Jungle (plus his cameo in Bhoot). He should have considered always casting her alongside him because I don't think audiences had any tolerance for him otherwise.
I consider her Bollywood's second best dancer after Madhuri (these two and Aish being the golden trinity of best dancers). Wish she and Madhuri had done an actual film together (cameo in Lajja doesn't count) especially since I always felt they had a bit of a resemblance. Bollywood should remake What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? or make some film with sisters casting these two.
Happy Birthday to the powerhouse of talent, Urmila Matondkar!
