From as long as I have heard, Rama is hailed as a great king as he prioritized his duties of king over the duties of husband. Rajya dharma over pati dharma.

My question is, When the Pandavas lost the dice game and became Kaurava's slave or 'dasas' the wife was pulled into the court of men. Weren't the husbands supposed do the their duty i.e.: protect their wife.

Was dasa dharama again more important that Pati Dharma?

Is there a thing called Pati Dharma. Duties of Husband?

because when Yudhishthira was going to heaven the yamraj(or someone else) said that Yudhishthira followed all the dharma till the end. So what about pati dharma where he failed? Was there even a thing like Pati dharma?
