Om Shanti Om was the highest grossing movie when it came out. Farah Khan said it could have been the first 100 crore movie but Bhansali launching Saawariya the same day is what prevented it from reaching that. It made 83 crore instead with the rest going to Saawariya and she still hasn't gotten over this.

Farah has no reason to complain...she had her share in the dispute, too...

Maroon, didn't Zoya gross more with Gully Boy? (don't know, though)

She shouldn’t have clashed with Saawariya then. Bhansali locks in his movie release dates a year in advance. She purposefully chooses that date for hype and then cries endlessly about it.

If Om Shanti Om had been the first 100 crore film, would it have gotten a sequel?

I’m discussing Happy Nee Year. It’s made about 200-210 crore in India Hindi. That’s highest for female directors in Bollywood or anywhere in India I think

If Om Shanti Om was the highest grossing Indian film at the time, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, one year later, was Yash Raj Films' highest grossing movie ever.
