yes. this has good word of mouth. neutral audiences on twitter coming out to say they liked it. that's why you see yt views increasing as well. i think this will gain viewership as more episodes roll out.

the story is typical but the character work is really good. characters are properly developed and etched from the onset. the plot and scenes are knitted well. pace is good too - neither slow nor fast. bohat makkhan ki tarah flow karta hai sab kuch. a simple and easy peezy watch. yes it is predictable but tbh you don't need bang shabang, hooks and mystery boxes to keep interest with this kind of deft writing. I don't think it is an extraordinary show, but it's a pretty decent one.

i really like sharjeena so far. She is not the type to give aurat march speeches or do aurat march morchas but you know she has a very strong resilient core. i like her no nonsense attitude where she called out adeel for his rudeness and wanted to talk to him about it. hania plays her well too.

Mustafa, I am still to warm up to as much, but let's see. Sometimes, I saw one too many Bolly influences in earlier episodes, but I'm willing to wait. These two this week were really Hania's episodes.

some side actors sometimes drop the ball in acting but it's not unbearable yet.

I don't have any big issues with badar directing here. the filters are a bit yellow but nowhere near the ugliness we saw in Mein and MPHT. I don't even feel the yellow filter too much tbh. The camera work is decent. He is letting scenes breathe and fold out organically. I didn't like the loser bgm at all but I don't feel the other ost overplayed so far yet. I think badar is just letting the script do its work without too much badru meddling and badru flourishes.

Ngl not a fan of Fahad off screen. He’s had his questionable moments. But as an actor, he’s selling Mustafa to me really well. He’s got this ease on screen which you see in seasoned actors. So far his scenes with his mom have really worked well for me because he’s acing the comic timing. Couldn’t find the scene online but that kitchen scene of his where’s he’s sarcastically consoling his mom about leaving Adeel be was impeccably done And second, his scenes with Hania are working well too, thank God - phew ! I loved that car scene and the last five minutes of today’s episode. They look good

I think it’s supposed to be a rushed marriage and the point is keh they don’t build up to it. But later realize each others shortcomings and feel like they made a bad call. So for the story we are going to get the jaldi jaldi of this makes sense to me. Warna baad main itna regret aur guilt na hota. And also Sharjeena has already gambled with the supposedly “perfect” “good on paper” option which was Adeel, so she’s just like eff everything, perfect sucks so maybe this guy is good enough because at least he’s decent. It doesn’t come off as illogical.

Only annoying bits are the whole Zamaana kya kahay ga, larki ke kardaar pe daag typical nonsense And Fahad ke overstyled baal. Thora zyada hai for me lol.

But Hania looks like a million bucks. That Mehndi dress with that jewelry, the hair. Oof. Her makeup is also just perfect. Not cakey or overdone. Love it. I also love the contacts. Badar is making it work well with his close shots and lighting
