When I was in Mumbai, my friends gifted me a little Ganesh whom I cherish. Once I went to Mumbai especially because of Ganpati and got invited to the rituals (and I don't belong to a religion)...It's a happy celebration...and I like happy rituals.
The Hindi religion is the most inclusive (and most welcoming) one I ever experienced...if people with agendas don't interfere...
