He has a history of announcing Don 3 throughout the last 10 years because he has other upcoming projects...

Don movie curse. The OG Don's director's career stagnated after that film and he couldn't make another, actors kept pushing his movies for years.

Farhan is doing all three movies bc he’s gonna need money to make Don 3. Funds gotta come from somewhere in order to afford shooting at all the exotic locations bollywood loves.

Farhan Akhthar needs to get over his midlife crisis. He's a mediocre actor and singer. Why is he wasting his real talent?
