Been wanting to join the discussion but haven't had a chance to type it. Even though I've been so frustrated with it at times.smiley36 Not because it isn't working out with Fakir and Aini i'm glad they are showing it doesn't all just work out in the end. However I have a problem with the writing, it's hard to explain, but not sure if it's the actor playing fakhir or the character writing it's just so badly written at times. Like yes he is a child but some of the stuff he comes out with is just so dumb because he was shown to understand on some level in between. I really do agree with your analysis but somewhere the let down has been the dialogues at times. Like is it just me or sometimes things just don't add up lol, like sometimes they've dealt with a scenario solved it and all but then come back to talking about stuff like that whole thing didn't happen.

lol i'm probably rambling it's just whilst i agree with Fakhir that this is a forced marriage I'm just not seeing as much downside for him compared to aini. Yes his friends have gone abroad but from the little I saw of the show prior to their marriage he wasn't exactly the focused about his education. So i feel this whole insecurity of his would have played out even if he didn't get married as he wouldn't have gone abroad either way and only would have wanted to when he started feeling left out. I feel like they just haven't articulated his character properly. Had he openly said that had I not been married no one would care if I changed my mind about education i would have understood his point. I mean yes i know as a child he would never admit it's his insecurity because of friends but at least express that it's unfair since I would have been allowed to if I wasn't married. that's where i think the show has gone wrong because his whole spiel about no one asked abbout his dreams is just pathetic and so selfish when he can see aini has compromised as well. It's like even Amna explaisn to him he still doesn't fully grasp the point but again I think it's because of bad writing as she sometimes is on the right track but doesn't complete her thoughts lol. llike onlly recently she said Ainy has given up a lot more than him. Like he is only seeing his side. Like I get it he wants to go but how unfair of him to leave Aini waiting around for him at his mercy of this relationship whilst working in America. She was right it wasn't just for education. Like i feel they should have said wow so you may call them there, will support. What if he falls in love with another girl, ainy is stuck while he technically got free.

I just wish at some point they had suggested what if Aini went abroad as well to study. Go at the same time, what would his reaction be then. I think it's harder to digest as at times he was shown sensible but now it's a complete u turn. I wish they for once said like fine we forced you but why did you have sex with aini, like come on. He got his fun but left poor Aini bound.

I would love for them to have shown Aini going abroad as well to study. Both of them growing up and realising and then deciding if they wanted to continue this relationship or not. Why is Fakhir allowed to decide. Tbh not sure how fakhir got into uni, also how are they going to afford it lol. They were crying about money not too long ago.

noor -- I agree with you the writing was not up to par. it was why I dropped the drama for my own sanity because it really looked they were actually endorsing child marriage. so I have been just reading comments here and there to get the gist but I didn't have patience to watch teh drama myself.

I think they should have shown fakir's frustration and inability to adjust from the onset. even now that isn't obvious.

also the actor playing fakir is too green to play such inner turmoil nuance without the help of dialogue.

I have seen movies where they show the good child's problem very well -- when the guy explodes at his parents and family for constantly hemming him in and not allowing him freedom to make his own choices -- those scenes are very powerful.

that is what we need here -- to see how fakir feels so trapped that he is running in order to gain his freedom the only way he sees how. in reality, many do that -- they move abroad and keep their ties to their family and their parents have no clue what is going on.

I remember a whatsapp forward where this psychologist shared the story of elderly parents who couldn't understand why their sons didn't keep in touch and hardly visited. when she talked to the sons, she found an upbringing where they had to study all the time and had no real relationship with their parents. there was no happy memories either of home. the parents couldn't accept and thought the boys were selfish.

similarly, fakir is being shown as selfish when in reality, it is the parents who have harmed him.

So basically, Fakhir gets to be the coold dad who sends expensive gifts and financially supports his child. All the while, the other family he will eventually have will get all that plus his love, attention and emotional support. What kind of an ending is this?

Aini, who is actually younger that him will be bringing up her daughter all on her own. I can understand the divorce part ok. I'm actually glad they gave us a different ending for once rather than the usual nikkah ke baad mohabbat ho hi jaati hai stuff.

In all this, no one, not even bloody Fakhir who kept expecting support and sacrifice from his wife, asked Aini what she wants to do in life. Does she have any dreams of her own? No. Such thoughts never come up when it's for a girl. She is supposed to stay back and bring up her child, compromising everything. Just doesn't sit right with me.

Looking at the last episode promo, I'm happy to see her graduate and it looks like she tops her class or something. If there is a season 2, I would genuinely want to see her journey in becoming a strong, independent and successful woman.

Like above posts I am happy if they separate and start with " Being frnds" Again. But the summary remains the same as all other shows female has to bear the brunt the most. Fakhir will be video call vala dad while aini will be struggling with real day to day prbs.

I agree with people saying it's writing fault.Fakhir before pregnancy and after pregnancy is totally different.Samajhdar aini turned into typical nagging wife.

They should have shown since beginning that fakhir wanted to go abroad. He got this idea after he met aamna. And if makers brought aamna back they should have brought humza too. We saw aini getting jealous/troubled over aamna we needed to fakhir reaction to how another's man's thought affects "his" wife's thought process.

He is busy searching fakhir between being beta, shauhar, abba but you really fulfilled all the role??? Biggest problem here is writing. Raheela gets easy pass for all her dirty deeds, habib is still itching his ears, ayesha is still crying.

Fakir toh habib se bhi zyaada smart nikala...

... He started with i want to go abroad to study so i can come back and take care of the business... Then it turned into i will stay there and do a job bec inaya deserves a good future ... Then it was let's get a divorce bec this is how we will grow

Basically he got all that he wanted with zero responsibility.. Ani will raise the child alone.. Struggle as a single mother.. As ani will continue living in the house she will also take care of Fakir's mom and buas and all other family members... And as ani is a "topper" she'll soon be taking care of the business whose profits will fund Fakir's foreign lifestyle...

I don't understand why he divorced ayesha.

Was he dumb did he not realize her value even after everything

While his sisters improved

He remained dumb

Also is it not a sin to take your wife's zevar

He's sucha weirdo

This show has really butchered men in this family

Besides jamshed they all sucked

I always knew aini and fakir would break up

Anaya threw me off

And just like that the show has finally ended. Never knew people would like this show so much.

I liked Aini’s speech it was very inspiring and powerful something that should enlighten every person in order to make change.
Good ending unlike these crappy Indian serials that never end and do the opposite of inspiring.

I don't understand how fakir is an amazing father smiley37

How did he improve when he never answered ainis calls?

When he lived there

It felt like they were promoting divorce and living apart and being good parents

He's a shitty dadsmiley29Telling me phoning once a day and immigrating away made him a good father is crap

He fathered a child, if they divorced and he stayed in Pakistan it would have made more sense

He is no better than Habib they just have positive attitudes because they wanted to show it in this way

I would love a s2

It would be really interesting to see how they parent the kid. And how their family deals with their new partners.

Fakir was extremely mean to aini, just because he was a child he never faced consequences
