Serious Question

If instead of Abhinav, the male who meets Akshara after ⚪️ day was someone else - maybe a childhood friend, maybe just someone more pragmatic but still middle class, maybe someone played by a better (or more popular) actor, would this leap be as hated as it is? You know, if the character (by a name other than Abhinav cause the double Abhi factor makes me personally cringe) was played by Parth, Ankit Gupta, Arjun Bijlani (though the age gap would irk me for a bit, unless their chemistry is stellar like Abhira and the age gap is addressed in character), Randeep Rai, Harshad Arora, Fahmaan, etc. I’d still have the same issues with the plot, but I think it’s be more interested in the show (rn I watch the show for Ruhi and Abhir).

I’d rather Akshu raise Abhir independently as a music therapist at a hospital (like Mauli from Silsila, Sai from Ghum, Priya from BALH2, or my fave, Sona from KRPKAB) or singer (like Kriti in Mimi), with a present male figure in Abhirs life that could be a relative, friend (like Silsila, BALH2, or KRPKAB) without denoting him a husband. Yes, I expect ITV to show the friend as someone expressing romantic interest in Akshu, maybe grow so close to the child that the child calls him something alike Poppy.

I will say it’s striking how the best single mothers tend to be on Sony TV - Kathaa Ankahee 💕, KRPKAB, BALH2

I am sort of person who likes seeing independent women. I always felt akshu should have pursued her music career and became a big singer and shown abhi his place than she becoming some one's wife to raise her child.

I don't even like concept of bringing new ml post leap. As why only men help a girl post seperation why in the whole universe a man can only help a women. There are so many women organizations which helps women in need. Rather than that itv shows if a women is walking on street they might be pro* instead of some women seeing her and picking up and giving her courage they bring unmarried man.

I would have felt good if akshu would have got some one like anupama who gives life to her and makes her independent. I know maa is also door mat but she helps ppl.

Akshu could have been independent women who raised her child all alone like katha. That will make her stronger than wind. No one can shake her unless she wishes them to shake.but this leap made her more weak than before as earlier she never had obligations on what others think. But here she has to take every step considering what nav may feel.

This leap is definitely not working for me. As i am disappointed with akshu post leap.

But even then, I wish it developed more on how singing changed for her, the fear restricting her less and her growth backing her voice.

But in contrast akshu was shown as she needed a papa for her kid. If she would have got married for love i can understand her pov. But she married for her child definitely she does not represents fighters but i don't expect much from high trp shows 😂 as they wants to show women as doormat as that's how older generation will connect with fl 😂

I think say...this forum would've been explosive then...but i would still not find the story interesting coz this neither here nor there...idk if the second lead had a better characterisation it would certainly intrigue me but if the storyline was as shitty as now idk how long I'll be interested...but then I'm watching even now so 🥲

I don't like saying anything about actors cause this is their job, and they are doing their best, and already there is so much against them. But yes, I really wanted a different actor. Someone younger, too, cause I hated the age gap between Abhira from before. It would also be more natural for them to be friends if they had some similar interests. Like maybe Nav also likes to sing or play some instrument or something. I know they have shown Nav singing, but it's not a serious interest.

If they wanted to give Abhira real takkar they should have gotten a better actor and someone who really looked the part of the innocent idiot. With this actor, a lot of times, he just looks evil when he tries to be cute and manipulative when he expresses his feelings.
