the original was a hit in multiple countries even though it tended to be rather melodramatic. the makers here wanted to be different. why change the formula when you know it works?

OG ..... What is that 🤣🤣

We have ITV' rules and regulations

-- not only FL but we will turn ML also in to Mahan

🤣

--ITV shows not for people with who analysing skill is existing

---OG was about Humans and their short coming , we are writing " super Human's story

this track is cracking me up. so much so I called up my cousin sister -- one of her friends recently gave birth and I wanted to check if things had changed since my sister had a baby years ago. my sister started laughing when I told her that ML is allowed in delivery room as random friend. 🤣

so she confirmed: depending on the city and hospital, even husbands may not be allowed in the room. they may get to pop in and out. some do allow the guy to come in the full time but it is really at the doctor's discretion. more allow the girl's mom to come in rather than the husband but again it depends on the health of the girl's mom.

my understanding is that doctors and staff are more concerned about working conditions and their ease as they move from one delivery to another. even a C-section, there will be multiple appointments in one day. when my niece was born, there were 4 other babies born in the same hospital that morning. so staff can't deal with over-the-top family members -- easier to keep them outside in the waiting room.

in one documentary I watched a while ago on babies around the world, the chinese nurse won't allow the husband in the room. he will insist and she will tell him that the last guy they allowed fainted and they ended up having to do CPR on him in the delivery room. 🤣 the hubby will insist that he will not faint and he is okay with blood and she will tell him to buzz off. it was such a hilarious scene like out from a movie that I still remember it. 🤣🤣🤣

😂 😂 😂

Dads are a hit and miss in the labour room. Some are the most adorable type of people you will ever meet. We usually ask them to focus on the mum's rather than looking down 😂

But some fathers are a pain.

Had a first time mum once who's baby was stuck for quite some time (could see his head as well). Every time she had a contraction and she would push, it wouldnt be enough for the baby to come out. And her husband would give the biggest eye roll ever. Couldnt deal with those men!!

But omg yeah in India (and in other south Asian countries) I'm still not sure how open they are to the idea. Probably depends on the hospital like you mentioned. Certain private ones have probably westernized themselves for people like Viaan 😂

yea it all depends on the hospital and doctor it seems. I have a feel that these ultra private top-end hospitals will allow husband these days (depending on his health and ability to take stress) as they are not having so many births in one day. however, the govt hospitals and the smaller hospitals which have multiple births in a day -- the staff simply do not have the energy to deal with family members.

one of my classmates did medicine and I remember meeting her in her final year -- she had finished the practical round and out of all the depts, she hated the gynaec; she said she couldn't believe the number of babies and complications they had to handle each morning. it was a semi-govt funded hospital and so the number of patients were very high. the staff are really overworked in these places. so it is understandable why they won't allow even a family member inside. as it is, the rooms are small and you have staff and imagine some family member having a meltdown as they are anxious. will you take care of the patient or the family member? so obviously patient is priority -- that is why the doctors kick out family members.

And especially in the government settings, the lack of resources is an issue. Patients often get complicated very very quickly as well. Having family in there is never a possibility. We had to send family out as well the moment we noticed complications/had to transfer mum to theatres.

ObGyn is one of the (if not the) most busiest specialties in any hospital, so you will always see the ObGyn team running around 😂

Husbands are allowed in most hospitals these days in the delivery room but it depends on if the would be mom will be keen on that, the comfort levels of the medical staff. Also like others mentioned anyone could be your birthing partner but you should have a rapport with them.

This Viaan’s I want to experience fatherhood & then Keith not available end minute etc is simply ott. Oh! Amritha telling Katha Viaan is one in a lakh people & Katha is one in a million people or something like that was just too off for me. At least for name sake put a one liner ki - kuch mahine baad then show this convo with Katha. All the itv new moms are too well supported as a new mom to talk such dialogues & plot against others like Reeth. I wish Itv got some reality check.

I will resume watching when this Viaan’s ott I want to experience fatherhood & Katha being smitten by this act is over.

So true!!

Putting all the logistics aside, this track actually would have made so much more sense if we atleast had Keith mentioning that he had a wife.

All this seemed very conveniently placed for the sake of the story!!

When will the love story start properly 😞

I have lost interest for a while. It seems like stretching the plot with redundancy for lack of content. I usually skim thru the whole week episodes as it’s not holding my interest anymore…

Are the makers high on something?Viaan can feel all this with Katha and his baby when they are a thing.Itna deviate kar chuka hain OG se,toh they can do this too.All this wasn't needed at all.
