I remember her Filmfare interbiew sometime in 2001 where she called herself a 'voracious reader' because she 'devoured' Mills and Boons books.

Yeah. Very well read indeed

The entire BW is on glutathione IVs + extremely expensive variations of liposomal glutathione like S-Acetyl. Apart from that, they very likely go for medium-deep full body laser peels every month or once in few months to peel / shed the darker skin on the surface of their body. The skin on top is always tanner than the skin underneath.

There ain't no way, that anyone gets so many shades lighter. You can brighten up a couple shades or maximum three shades lighter only if you're severally tanned and are used to staying outdoor for long. You can return to your orginal color if you take a bit of care. (which can be 2-3 shades lighter)

But ain't no way that a person lightens up 5-6 shades lighter throughout their body, without undergoing treatments such as the above mentioned. Apart from that, they have to eat healthy and detox foods like greens / salads, exercise, they boost glutathione up a bit too, but not 5-6 shades lighter without needles & capsules going into you.

TV Actor Debina admits it here as glutathione being the thing to go for in BW and TV. I am pretty sure, she's also trying to sell those capsules here and get a small commission for it - but it's true. That's what they do! Atleast she admits it.

Nysa has undergone skin lightening but not as much as people think. She cakes on the makeup and flash. Check her pictures w/o Orry.

However I would say Nysa, Suhana, Shanaya (yes she is already fair but she still takes the shots), and Rhea take them.

Ananya and Janhvi did at debut but stopped thankfully (maybe they will start again for South debut?) Sonam and Kushi are darker skinned irl but look lighter on camera.

Smaller underage nepo kids have actually sadly already started. Save Aaradhya! Raveena, Riddhima and Karishma have not saved their kids.

But I do know South Asians whose skin tone variance can be very dramatic. Especially here in the Midwest, many of us get super toasty during summer and almost ashen during winter with months of cloudy grey skies.

yes here in the summer people who stay out on the sun or swim outdoors get tanned easily but once the winter sets in return back to their natural skin tone. But someone who is dark pigmented naturally would return back to that shade and someone on the lighter shade back to that tone. Plus, any easier way to know one’s own tone is that where u tan u will be darker and where you don’t tan your natural color. Though where u live genetics etc come into play.

I don’t know much on these lightening procedures because here in the states esp in cali people sit out in the sun or goto tanning booths esp those who pale white. Main thing is one as to like their tone and body and some people to have confidence or as they age to get things done to enhance their looks. In my opinion each to their own. As long as they like how they look don’t matter what others think.

I don't understand the need for skin whitening especially for Kajol and Deepika. Love their skin tone actually they have great skin

Kajol with her uni brow, and not great clothes was accepted and loved. Nobody cared about her looks she had a personality and people loved her on screen in spite of all flaws.

Deepika is dark too and became super famous nobody bothered about her color. You can see in Pathan in the yellow she is dark and looks great.

Why do these need to go to skin whitening and then lie about it. I understand if some were made fun of or trolled not judging but these 2 were whole heartedly accepted.

What?Did she really say that?I used to feel really bad for her coz she was so pretty before her surgery.

I don't see the contradiction. Being a voracious reader means you never let a day go without reading. What does it matter whether it's romance or whatever? Reading is food for the soul. Of course some variety is good for you. But I don't see why reading romance is so looked down? When I was growing up everybody was reading it. Men, women, the young and the old ,housewives,professionals... everyone except the teenagers to whom it was forbidden fruit. And they read it on the sly as well. In fact it's one of the main reasons why literacy shot up and we became the first 100% literate state in India.

I think she said something like how she has lost weight thus her face looks different. Also she was shooting in Paris so due to the cold weather the camera kept zooming in and out and her face was being captured from different angles. And she also mentioned that since she is only one film old she can’t afford a surgery. She clearly thought people are idiots and they would buy it.

100%

As a teenager, I used to really look down on Mills and Boon readers. But now, as an adult, I understand that people should read what brings them joy. I don't know why romance novels are considered inferior.

It's not that I don't judge. I do judge. I judge people who read Fifty Shades and Twilight because they're poorly written. I merely redirect folks to better-written erotica or gothic romance.

I'm forty-plus. I've tried reading more grown-up books. Sometimes I find ones I enjoy. But most of the time I keep returning to my favorite genre of all - YA.
