Not as big a success like they are portrayed to be. Like the case of jug jug jiyo, ae dil hai mushkil etc.. actually that is the case of all Dharma movies I guess even that chomu gehraiyan they did PR saying it made 100 cr blah blah

These films are moderate successes being termed as huge successes ? I don’t think it’s true as the box office is there for anyone to see. Highway wasn’t a success at all. If they celebrated it they’re idiots. But Tamasha also failed an the people involved had a success party. So is this a case of Imtiaz movies ?

Tamasha ka tamasha toh alag hi hain apparently Imtiaz told the cast that people will understand the movie after 2-3 years and that is when they will know the movie's verdict!

She’s talking about two people specifically. Alia Bhatt and how Karan Johar helps her. She’s right, opportunities have always fallen into Alia’s lap. Not to mention the highly aggressive marketing and PR movements that started right after Highway and still continues.

Alia has the talent so it’s justified that she’s getting incredible opportunities is not a fair argument either. Where was her talent with Sadak2 or even with Brahmstra? Alia is talented, but she’s not talented enough where she can rise above a bad or mediocre script. Hence she has an unbelievably unfair advantage by having all the great stories fall into her lap. And Ash isn’t alone in saying this. Rhea Kapoor made some cracks about Alia on KWK as well. How bad has Alia’s special privileges had gotten that even other industry people started making snide remarks about it, some to Kjo’s face?

Anyone who thinks Alia got her opportunities ONLY on the basis of talent is either in denial or refusing to face reality. The girl was just as bad as Ananya when she started out. Karan poured all his resources and power into forcing her onto audiences. Even teaming up with Aditya Chopra to make Parineeti, Alia's biggest competition, in 2014 feel insecure about her looks, and then throw her off her game. Now all nepo beti's think they can follow this formula and be Alia 2.0. The audience is not stupid. If you are beyond repair and incapable of improving significantly, they will never accept you. Thats why audiences have given big thumbs down to Janhvi, Sara etc and thats why their movies on being dumped on OTT like yesterday's trash.

This is not about nepotism. I am the first person to stand up and clap for nepo's when they deliver and when its honest. In this case, I can't support such clownery.

I am also not denying that Alia can act, but the way she got there is shady. I personally think even Sonakshi has more potential than her, but she lacks a mentor and strong backing.

I heavily credit her rise, and the ample opportunities given to non-actors like Arjun, Sonam, Janhvi, Sara, Ananya - for the collapse of Bollywood.
