"Yash Raj Films is next making WAR 2. Aditya Chopra and Shridhar Raghavan have finished the scripting, and the film will go into production at the end of this year. "Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff’s War was the third YRF spy film after Ek Tha Tiger and Tiger Zinda Hai. But that film was created as a solo film with no clear connection to the previous Tiger movies. Pathaan started the crossover of previous spy characters, and was directly linked to War. Salman’s Diwali release, Tiger 3, will continue the crossover, with SRK’s character making an extended cameo. 

And then will come Hrithik’s War 2, which will be a massive crossover of all five previous spy films. The sequel has been written in such a way that it has a connection with the previous spy stories. Hrithik will return as Major Kabir Dhaliwal; however, it’s yet unknown if the film will tell Kabir’s backstory with Jim (John Abraham) or it’ll be set in a completely new setting," an industry source told us."

Fighter is shelved? Or is it considered less important than War 2.

Fighter is Sid Malhotra's maiden home production...so NO.

Lord Sid has arrived! Everyone wants him in their films the soonest.SRK-Salman film will come sooner.They are not getting any younger. Back to back Sid- HR film is unlikely to happen under YRF. happen.I am sure HR too would want a change.He is huge star.

And no, Fighter isn't shelved in any way, they've finished 2 schedules already and they're planning to wrap up shooting by May so they can start working on the VFX for the film to be ready by January.

War 2 will start as from December as per this article, hopefully under Kabir Khan's direction, if ever Sid takes the reins of the SRK-Salman movie

And coming to HR, Sid is one of his closest friends, plus Sid knows the A-Z of how to present him in all his glory, so I don't think he'll mind being directed by him 🥰

Fighter has been filming for months.  It's scheduled for a Jan 2024 release. 

If filming starts later this year for War 2 then one assumes Krrish 4 still isn't ready (will not be sorry if that doesn't happen).  War 2 will then be released 5 years after the first - that gap is more than big enough.
