The show was initially titled "Arjun: Har Gunah Ke Chakravyuh Ko Todne Aa Raha Hai" and later renamed to the less wordy title "ℍ𝕒𝕣 𝕐𝕦𝕘 𝕄𝕖𝕚𝕟 𝔸𝕒𝕪𝕖𝕘𝕒 𝔼𝕜 𝔸𝕣𝕛𝕦𝕟" was a 145-episode show, spanning over two and a half years, airing every weekend on Star Plus under the banner of 4 Lions Films. 

The story revolves around the titular character Arjun, ACP Arjun Suryakant Rawte and his quest to avenge his wife. The story introduces the Emergency Task Force, an elite police squad that deals with high-profile and high-priority cases with ACP Sameer Rathore in charge as Chief. He is his long-lost best friend Arjun and the two are usually at loggerheads. Chhotu - the commando, Shree - the tech expert and Riya - the research analyst form the initial team, Arjun is added as second-in-command. The two commanders usually have heated discussions on their ways of doing things. Riya makes the ultimate sacrifice for the city by swallowing the Xora virus, giving up her life for the people. 

Nadia, aka Aisha Kapoor, is an undercover agent whose cover is blown by Arjun & ETF during one of the cases, she then joins them as a guns and ammunition expert. Dr. Lisa D'Cruz joins as the forensic expert and Saakshi Anand, an ex-crime reporter joins to publicise the actions of the ETF team.

HYMAE-Arjun is a crime investigation series that goes beyond just solving crimes. It is a story of human relationships; the love-hate equation between Arjun and Rathore; the friendship of Riya, Chhotu and Shree; Shree and Chhotu; Aisha, Lisa, Sakshi and the boys. Relationships are something one relates to, whether friendship, a loved one that one has lost or a romantic interest that one may have like the supermarket gal for Chhotu.

Arjun goes from being a lone wolf to someone who works hard with his team and learns to love them like his second family, only for them to be taken away from him, once again, he's lonely. This time he forms an unlikely alliance with a garage mechanic and a history-sheeter - Karan, an upcoming actress - Simran and a little girl, aka Einstein - Anjali. They fight some crimes in their ways and Sameer decides to show up with a file that has details on Sikander. The show ends on a promising note, to come back with another season where Arjun would complete his quest that is left unfulfilled here. 

The layers in this story are what make "𝓐𝓻𝓳𝓾𝓷: 𝓗𝓪𝓻 𝓨𝓾𝓰 𝓜𝓮𝓲𝓷 𝓐𝓪𝔂𝓮𝓰𝓪 𝓔𝓴" a one of its kind action thriller on Indian Television that has its fans hooked and waiting for another season, a decade later. Our beloved ACP Arjun forms a Justice Squad out of likely and unlikely companions and seeks to rid the city of its crime and criminals, with the motto "𝐒𝐚𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐲 𝐊𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐲" -  for protecting the good, to eradicate the bad(evil).

Media is a strong medium. It can bring hope, make us laugh and cry, and build opinions and Television, for decades, has been a potent force. Among the pioneers of private channels is Star Plus which has given us many gems in the form of memorable shows.

Amidst the dark clouds of the monsoon of 2012, came to our houses, a group of committed young cops formed the Emergency Task Force fighting to bring justice to the most challenging cases. True to its name, Har Yug Me Aayega Ek - Arjun.

Arjun- Har Yug Mein Aayega Ek, a one of its kind action thriller, that was created with a vision of not just entertainment but also with the thought of spreading a message - be it of human failures, the interpersonal relationships that thrive in situations that seem unlikely and how men and women in uniform live their life on duty and outside it.

Here we are, a Decade since the show aired with some of our fond memories and a Forum that brought so many unknown individuals together.

"What made the Show memorable?" One might wonder. Well, let us try to put some pieces of this puzzle together.

Concept, Format, Writing:

In the midst of many family drama shows, "4 Lions Films" production came up with a Crime Thriller show written by a team of young, talented writers and creatives.

The USP perhaps was the concept of a group of young individuals determined to fight for justice, in stark contrast to the crime shows of the time.

The pride and honour with which duty-bound officers don the uniform, the commitment towards their duty in spite of threats and hardships, rising above self for service of society and soldiers are not just in uniform but the will to serve can come from ALL quarters were the highlights of the show.

A 145-episode, late-night, weekend-only show, instilled a curiosity and made us look forward to it. We became so used to it that the ETF became synonymous with the Emergency Task Force and the trademark dialogues of each character were etched in our minds.

Whether it is:

ACP Sameer's "Damn It" or ACP Arjun's "Samjhe ya Samjhau", "Majhya Nadala lagu naka", Riya's "Aurat ki kabiliyat pe kabhi shaq nahi karna chahiye" or Ayesha's "Paisa pairon ki dhool hoti hain, ise sir pe mat chadhao" or the motto "Sadarakshanaaya Khalhanigrahnaya".

The 145 Episodes can be divided into During ETF (129 Episodes) and After ETF (16 Episodes).

The show covered a gamut of social issues including:

Human Trafficking, Organ Trafficking, Honour Killing, Biochemical disasters, and Hostage situations among others such as greed, lust, infidelity, cheating, and adultery - leading to crime in society.

Each case was special, each investigation unique and meticulous, adherence to protocol and an easy-to-comprehend portrayal made for a treat to watch.

As a social responsibility, a novel segment called "Arjun ka Suraksha Chakra" was started which educated viewers on simple tips for safe surroundings.

Each was given specific styling that defined their personality traits like: 

a. ACP Sameer's crisp checkered shirts with a holster, watch on the right hand, the signature stance of hands on the waist oozing authority, leadership, weighed words and pride.

b. ACP Arjun's block shirts, arms folded, gun held back, signature stance with hands crossed, revolving the pen or gun adding to the mystery behind the man. Roshni's styling in ethnic colours or mainly whites to depict the peaceful, calming force in Arjun's life.

c. Chandrakant Patil's muscular form with a child-like heart oozing innocence despite the painful past and total loyalty to his seniors.

d. Shreekant Sen's bespectacled, trendy styling with a sling depicts him to perhaps be the youngest of the lot fresh out of college.

The Styling of the female cops was fresh and apt to break stereotypes and show them as strong individuals.

The show has its fair share of action, drama, subtle romance, light comedy and a full-on entertainer. Indeed 10 years and going strong and hopefully many many more years to come.

Arjun Suryakant Rawte was a fearless, intelligent, no nonsense and always ready for duty cop. Since childhood he wanted to become a police officer for which his father Mr. Suryakant Rawte never agreed as he wanted his son to help him in his business but Arjun's dreams were higher than this. He broke all relations with his father and became a successful officer who is praised by everybody in the department.

Arjun is a grim, dour, taciturn soul, a loner, who prefers to keep his past to himself. He, as hero, has the blinding insights and almost always is right, even though the others tend to resent him and his attitude in the Emergency Task Force team that he has been transferred to.

His brilliant analytical, observation and investigation skills landed him in ETF where he woked on human trafficking case. After completing the case successfully he was offered to join ETF as second-in-command to bring justice to his deceased wife Mrs Roshni Arjun Rawte who was brutally murdered by Sikandar in front of him on their 1st wedding anniversary.

While working in the ETF he found his new family. His best friend turned enemy Sameer Damsingh Rathod, brothers like Shree and Chotu and Riya for whom his feelings are still unnamed. He found comfort around them. Though he never said it, his actions always said louder than words. His gestures showed his care for his team, appreciation if they did something he expected from them or something extraordinary.

Relations with all the members

His methods may not be the textbook ones and he does get pulled by his buddy and chief ACP Sameer Rathod for them.

Be it lending an ear to Chotu as he narrates his tragic childhood or appreciating Shree for having cracked a tough nut, or helping Riya overcome her fear of shooting, Arjun slowly came to realise that these are the only people close to being a family that he never had. He respected Ayesha's abilities for being the responsible cop she is and never once rebuked her when she taunted him for having ruined her cover. His guilt on being responsible for Sakshi getting shot made him display a soft side, which he often kept under wraps. He seldom lets his personal differences with Rathod get in the way of their work, and together as a team, they're formidable.

Arjun- A vulnerable heart behind the stone-faced man

Brave as a lion and shrewd as a leopard.' He is manipulative and shrewd when it comes to nailing smart criminals. He never underestimates them, in fact, even appreciates their intelligence at times. But he knows just when and how to go in for the kill. 'Uske aage ki ek chaal, main khud hi sochta hoon...' He never hesitates to break the rules to ensure justice.

He has given up on life and lives a reclusive life, fighting criminals and seeking justice for the wronged living up to his oath, 'Sadrakshanaya Khalnighranaya’. He is the one who chose to continue with his work as an ACP after his wife was killed. He could have switched to his baser instincts and been a killer himself. But he tries to bring the criminals to justice.

Be it trotting the guns or making the punches fly he was the best, letting no one inch close to the tag. The tough exterior mounted a soft beating heart that cared for everyone around. He always cared for his team, though letting all of that out might not be very conventional. A mentor and guide to Shree, Riya, Liza, Sakshi and Chotu; strong support to Rathod, and a friend to Ayesha, he gave his all even when he had no means. A true man of honour he remained so till the very end.

An unfortunate scam took away his team and he found solace in a B-Team comprising Karan, Simran and Anjali. He became a brother to Karan, a protector to Simran and a father figure to Anjali. His equations were ever evolving and he remained likeable even in the murkiest of situations.

Arjun came across as a man who valued the worth of humanity. To stand tall after going through Hell is a daunting task but to let all of that run and make you strong is the mark of a true man.

As a character there were many shades in all and the best part was that it was kept natural as well as close to life, his anger, skills along with attitude were marked precisely and it was well executed too. I felt that his role as a leader of the ETF was appreciable … He was Leader & Head of ETF and had to manage our 3 Musketeers (Riya, Shree & Chotu) always in a playful mood and a hot-headed intense teammate of his size (Arjun) who was surely a pain in the neck for him. It even made it worse as his equation with Arjun was not on track and both couldn’t stand each other for long basically in the initial days when the team started working together but still, he managed well. As a head, he made sure the team remained intact, be it Riya’s demise, Aisha’s entry or any other further pressures he managed all with a smile. He had the ability of a true leader to follow and idolize. For him, his Teammates and the name of the ETF was a top priority. We had many scenes of him saving Aisha & Arjun even shouting at his mates to be careless about their wellbeing.   

Sameer as the character would be said as a tough exterior but an extremely soft-hearted person from inside, he was approachable to his teammates understood their pains and constraints too, he made everyone bind with each other as a professional … for being a team you just don’t need members but you need conviction, strength and a binding force and he made sure that his every teammate has that and if there was an issue he was the first person to bank upon … be it intense nature and reprimanding of Arjun, or any personal issues like Aisha he was always present as a bridge to his team … Though he hid his soft heart beside his tough exterior, still we have seen the glimpse of soft Sam for his friends, team and people around.    

Sameer was completely a righteous character going by law and maintaining that moral dignity after facing so much was a strength of his character, but somewhere it had become his weakness too as for people who overrule law cannot be contained by the following law like he couldn’t find a trace of the person who killed his friend Roshni … but as it is said that when the going gets tough the tough gets going … he never left his moral duties and righteous character no matter how difficult it is which makes him a more courageous.  

Though Sameer was a man of few words once he connected himself to someone strongly it was for his lifetime, his feelings, though unspoken, were evident from his actions and body language. His anger erupted seeing his loved ones in danger be it Arjun his lost friend or Aisha his love came out beautifully, he never admitted to his friend or his love that he cares for them so strongly but his reactions made it so obvious that it reached people effectively.    

The Mystery of Sameer’s life remained unsolved as to why he led a lonely life like this away from everyone, was it because of his job or his stubbornness or his broken heart who couldn’t bear losing someone like he lost his friends? He blamed Arjun for his friend’s death but still, deep down he knew that it wasn’t his fault. Though when Aisha’s character entered we saw a great professional bond between the two and then them slowly falling for each other but still there was a missing part of his life which made him lonely and might be scared to be in relationships. 

Sameer Dhamsingh Rathore was shaped as a proud service person who has a tough exterior and equally tough job but he persists with his softness of a compassionate heart and an innocent soul. His character makes us believe that tough jobs and situations cannot change the inner softness, purity and innocence of a person. Hopefully, we will be able to see such good characters in the future that are quite close to reality.

Life was full of uncertainty & constant change, on one hand where Arjun was a no-nonsense but jovial cop, another event had turned his life on a new roll, Roshni was that ray of light in his dull life. 

Roshni, a breath of fresh air who would spread her breeze wherever she’d go. She was Sameer’s best friend but that old friend of hers had unknowingly played Cupid when he directed her towards his BFF cum colleagues' flat. At her first appearance, Arjun had fallen head over heels for the lady in blue blouse button-up & messy wavy locks. Love had finally made an entry into their lives & it started to blossom most beautifully, and there she became Roshni Arjun Rawte. 

As much as loveable, empathetic, caring & homely she was, she equally craved attention, pampering & sweet nothings to which she believed her, oh-so-loving husband ranked null. But she was always in for a surprise when her angry young man would occasionally sweep her off her feet & give her every happiness in the world she deserved. Being with her kept them at peace & the home felt livelier passing each day. 

She was a teacher, she had faith in the deities whereas he didn’t but had believed in her faith until it was shaken.

Just when Arjun & Roshni were building their fairytale castle, Sikander, a notorious criminal, crashed it to pieces. Arjun had to face another life-changing event, his beloved Roshni’s cruel death. He couldn’t help but feel guilty about leaving her midway through their 1st anniversary for duty. When returned, he was held captive, drugged, weakened & had to watch his Roshni being killed in front of his eyes just because of his duty.

Arjun was mad in rage, he kept looking for an opportunity to nab the culprits & give justice to his wife. Sameer who was once his best friend had left him alone in that search believing Arjun to be the cause of Roshni’s untimely death, leaving Arjun with nothing but emptiness & bitterness. His search for Sikander had led him to the ETF. Thus making him the second-in-command, ACP Arjun Suryakant Rawte. If given a chance, Arjun would have left at the first opportunity but then he recalled his wife’s teaching, "duty sirf duty hoti hai, hum apni choti-choti cheezo ke liye apne farz se muh nahi modh sakte!"

Although, Arjun had accepted the silence & darkness once again in his life. Somewhere he knew, Roshni’s soul wanted him to be happy, occasionally she’d be appearing in his thoughts in one way or other but then he’d prefer to stay in an old dainty lodge rather than go back to that house which was once his Roshni’s home.

After a break, Sameksha Singh made a comeback on ITV, we can say Roshni was written for her. She had made her co-star Shaleen so comfortable & he was already charmed by her aura that the Arjun-Roshni chemistry didn’t require extra effort. It was pure, genuine, coming with the flow. Despite being a recurring character, Sameksha was the soul & base of the show, her track had picked the curiosity of many fans & gave her new admirers along the journey.

ℝ𝕚𝕪𝕒 𝕄𝕦𝕜𝕙𝕖𝕣𝕛𝕖𝕖

Riya Mukherjee, the first lady of the ETF, it would not be wrong to call her that, as she was the first woman in the dynamic environment of the ETF. She worked as the Research Specialist for the team, providing the most appropriate statistics in crucial moments. Riya’s bubbly personality charmed everyone around her, even the so-called khadoos Arjun Rawte. She was surely emotional, but her emotions were her strength rather than weakness. Her emotional intelligence worked as the anchor supporting her team firmly as they navigated through the stormy world of crime. 

Riya was adept in martial arts and could beat the goons to pulp. However, she had her weakness too. Guns. The idea of taking a life by simply pulling the trigger terrified her, even when they were hardcore criminals. With the strength of her character and support from Arjun, she was able to overcome her fears. She had her own quirks be it blurting out statistics or her habit of being a clean freak. 

Riya’s affectionate nature helped her to forge irreplaceable relationships with her team, be it the Chhotu-Shree-Riya trio saving each other from their strict bosses, her admiration and empathy towards Arjun and respect towards Sameer. Finally, Riya made the supreme sacrifice for the safety of her country. As the threat of Xora-II virus lurked over the city, she bravely ingested the capsule without caring about her own life. She proved her potential of being a true police officer of the country. Her death affected the entire team, as she became the soul of the ETF. 

Relationship with Others 

Rathore - Rawte & Riya

The RR duo were amazed by the "statically speaking" woman, who was courageous, bold and beautiful. They took it upon themselves to teach her shooting - actual humans, very important for a field agent. Riya respected her seniors and was ready to learn and be mentored by them at all points. Her thrust on cleanliness amused the duo and she would often get scolded along with Shree and Chotu for having some fun. 

Shree - Chotu & Riya

The three musketeers, as the fandom calls them, exude strong sibling energy. Chotu being the elder brother, having the back of twins - ShRi. The three would often tease one another, taking turns during short breaks to manage the stress of solving a gruesome crime and maintain their sanity. They would also enact RR duo and see who does the best impression, often caught off guard by the screaming seniors.

Shree & Riya were the twins, always together, sharing and keeping secrets and helping each other cover up. One lady assumed them to be a couple and the little jump to corners of the couch vouched for how strong the twin energy was!

Chotu always silently supported Riya, consoling her or cheering for her, as needed. He was the rock Riya relied on and he did his best to protect and help her. His little advises and notes to deal with the RR duo, by maintaining safe distance when the lions roared and the silent tears he shed during her cremation. 

Riya was the bravest woman the quad had known and they tried their best to make her feel a part of the team and not any different. 

Sana Makbul Khan played the adorable dimple girl - Riya with such easy and simplicity, she made a permanent place in the heart of viewers. Sana was the perfect Riya, strong, sweet, bold and beautiful with a heart of gold. 

Riya's feelings for Arjun

𝕊𝕙𝕣𝕖𝕖𝕜𝕒𝕟𝕥 𝕊𝕖𝕟

The one whom you find sometimes comic, sometimes confused but always confident when it comes to gadgets; Shreekant Sen, the gadget whizz of the team who has special expertise in the field of technology. An important character, without whom the team is almost looks a birthday party without any chocolates.

From tracking a criminal by tapping phone lines to hacking accounts and providing the latest technological gadgets to the team, he is the man to go for. His skills are just not confined to these, he also knows how to use guns and put criminals down with them.

His obsession with technology and gadgets comes in handy whenever one wants either access to a long-deleted file or to find out the blood traces that had been wiped out from the crime sites. Hence, we can say he is a genius tech expert. He gets appreciation from others too, whoever witnessed his skills and was amazed seeing that.

Probably, he is the youngest among all the ETF members who looks like a college-going student from looks but is remarkable, funny, playful and yet compassionate. Surrounded by the beeping sound of computers and his gadgets, you might find him sitting most of the time in his own little cubicle, with his girlfriend. Wait!!! What are you thinking? I am not talking about any of his girlfriends…but about his lappy (laptop) with whom he loves to spend most of his time. It is so important for him that he can't even imagine spending a day without it. Not only that, he isn't even ready to share it with others, not even with his best friends. So, I hope now you get why his lappy is known as his girlfriend. Ohh!!! I forgot to tell the most important thing about his lappy, that it has 'Shree' written on the top of it, that too in a stylish way.

Shree, as a person, sometimes acts as a great friend, sometimes a tech expert and sometimes a kamina friend too, who knows very well how to get those remarks right. But above all you find him as an amazing human being. He might joke around a lot with others but when it comes to his work he is all dedicated and attentive. He prefers to ride his bike rather than occupying the driving seat of ETF's SUV.

One might find his looks or antics cute but don't underestimate him given his cute looks and friendly nature, when he is mad or challenged, "yeh specky in lungi tumhari pungi bajayega ji."

Maybe, his colleagues too, know about his hidden talent and what he can do when challenged, that's why whenever a situation comes when they need someone to use as bait or as 'Bali ka Bakra', he is the most preferred choice of all, among all persons, present there. In such situations, all eyes around him stop only at him, without thinking of someone else before him. A big thanks to his colleagues who put him in such situations as it's only because of them we witnessed Shree in many disguises. After seeing it won't be wrong to say that he is not only a brilliant Tech Expert but a Master of Disguises too because whether acting as a college student or a Madrasi, he played every role like a pro and he always looked adorable in those disguises.

Though we loved him in all disguises, what about him? Poor Shree must be blaming his fate for why he only gets stuck in such weird situations, not once but many times. One such horrendous moment was when a serial killer attacked him. We all cursed brutally the killer as he hurt Shree in the most painful way, but were relieved when Arjun came to save him and later he is shown okay.

Relationship with Others

ETF Chief and Second-in-command

Shree has great respect for his chief and his second in command; in fact, he even voiced it out. Both of them scare the hell out of the poor IT guy, but he knows, it's only for his own good. So he calmly deals with all their "Damn it!" and "Samjhe ya samjhaun?" that come in his way and get the work done.

Though with the ETF Chief ACP Sameer Rathod, Shree has a professional bond, whom he looks up to as a mentor, a leader and sometimes a big brother too, sometimes he really acts like a child who keeps troubling the chief for the new gadget he wants for their department that too in between solving the cases, making Sameer more irritated and leaving him with no option other than threatening Shree by telling that he will ban Shree's equipments upgradation if he doesn't shut his mouth. 

Coming to second-in-command ACP Arjun Rawte, Shree has empathy towards him, not because he pitied Arjun or anything. It was out of respect and gratitude towards him, still, ACP Arjun is the only khadoos in Shree's life. If ACP Rawte is the mastermind, Shree is his minion. While discovering a ground-breaking theory, Arjun needs his IT boy to pull up some information, whether it is finding out someone’s phone records, credit card details or making a fake identity, Shree works as his right hand and sometimes Arjun assigns him a lot of work that too with a deadline of very less time that we are entitled to say "ACP sahib, bache ki jaan loge kya?" But our genius knows and understands, that his second in command is just eager to get justice for the victim and to solve the case. 

Shree is the only person who got a proper "Thank You" or "Good Job" from our Khadoos ACP, which he himself never expected from him even in his dreams. He was too stunned to react to it.

We may find Arjun sometimes going overboard on Shree but Arjun has full trust in Shree's capabilities, more than what he has in himself. The confidence of seniors in Shree boosts his confidence to another level and makes him do something which isn't easy at all. I don't think it would be wrong if you say Shree is indeed Arjun's favourite when it comes to working.

Riya and Chotu

Shree, Riya, and Chhotu share a special camaraderie. They were like three musketeers. Riya and Chotu are his best friends of course after his gadgets, with whom he could be seen chatting, joking and doing masti in his free time and sometimes in between work too. He usually makes fun of their bosses behind their backs with them.

Shree is a true friend of Riya. He is mostly there whenever she needs him. He can't see her in trouble. With Riya we witnessed so many shades of him as a friend; caring, helpful, fun-loving, teasing, and also emotional and vulnerable when she took her last breath before him.

Shree loves pulling a prank on Chotu. The episode seems rather dull or incomplete without a ChoRee moment; be it his horror movie nights with Chotu or spying on the ACPs and their lady love, Chotu and Shree's pair are always a delight to watch. Even though the other two ACPs won't admit it, their banters do amuse them and maybe, remind them of what they used to have earlier.

Ayesha and Sakshi

At first, he found Ayesha as someone having an attitude, who couldn't join their group and with whom they can't crack jokes just like they used to do with Riya but later they become friends with whom sometimes he bet, apart from cracking jokes.

Shree and Sakshi became friends just after the day they met. They both bring comic relief in the scenes and share a good friendship for their fun-loving nature.

Lisa 

Sparks fly when ETF tech expert and ETF forensic expert, Lisa D'cruz comes face-to-face. They were college-mates, who are rivals of each other since those days as there was a fight between the two for the 1st position. Even in the ETF, we can see some glaring sessions between the two or find them delivering sarcastic comments at each other.

They also have given special names to each other. For her, he is "Specky Sen" and for him, she is "Aafat". Not only were their banters cute but they both also make a cute pair; a nerdy tech with gadgets and a gorgeous forensic expert with scalpels.

Shreekant Sen's character is played by Siddharth Sen. He is brilliant, with that mischievous smile and nerdy glasses. He brings out the best which leaves us awed and makes us glued to our screens.

ℂ𝕙𝕒𝕟𝕕𝕣𝕒𝕜𝕒𝕟𝕥 ℙ𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕝

When you initially watch Arjun, your first impression of Chhotu is: Accha yeh toh comic character hai shayad, khaane se obsessed rehta hai aur masti mazak karta hai. Aur itne bade aadmi ka naam Chotu kisne rakh dia? You might inadvertently dismiss him as being representative of one class in favour of the others in the ETF who seem more in-the-face as being, and think that this is someone who could classically fit the tough, macho boy trope, and boy-oh-boy you will be SO wrong to do so😆

The more you watch, you begin to realise how multidimensional this character is, it is not a jitna dikhta hai utna bikta hai situation. His name might be Chhotu, but he is a beautiful soul in and out has the biggest heart of them all, more when he can feel the pain of others (esp. Rhea/Arjun/Shri/Rathore) without even saying and knows when to tune in and out. You might laugh along with the other ETF members at his fear of horror movies and sometimes superstitious nature or his hopeless crush on the 11.30 am wali ladki who he sees every Sunday, but the hope he continues to harbour for his one-sided love story is also commendable, coz most people would have up when they see the other side might not be as responsive. There is never a dull moment when Chhotu is around, he makes sure to create a supportive atmosphere wherever he goes, and quickly becomes one of your favourites, even without consciously having to do any heroics, with his positivity always shining through his words and actions 

These and more are all the things that make Chhotu such a memorable role: 

(i) His tuning with Arjun Sir and Rathore Sir as a worthy subordinate team member who unknowingly gives resourceful ideas, uncovers clues which unwittingly point towards the culprit. He has a lot of respect for both of them, to the extent where sometimes he even allows them to make decisions for him and takes in their criticism better than the others, and yet he loyally follows through even if his heart might say otherwise. This is evident in the episodes where he has to face his biggest fears 

(ii) His comic timing with Shri and Rhea (and other members), when they make the Band of Musketeers, who try to navigate cases with their own circle of understanding and play pranks in the midst of the missions, annoying their seniors. He seemed to also be the biggest Arjun/Rhea shipper there is on the planetand was also most visibly disturbed and heartbroken after her death when the ETF members were trying to pick up the pieces and make a fresh start  He is also very supportive of Shree finding love and keeps teasing him about doing so, even with Lisa  Chhotu, as far as I have watched, really becomes a brother to every single person on the team, whom they can lean on for emotional and physical support without him expecting anything in return. This is the type of person who will both fight nail and tooth to save your izzat, and also bring you chocolates when you are unwell, without harbouring any biases or ideals of toxic masculinity  And it wont be wrong to say, ek tarah se ETF ka dil hai Chhotu, because he just has so much of love and positivity for every single person who is part of their team, whether in the past or present 

(iii) The pehelwaan side: He uses his physical ability only to PROTECT, never to DESTROY, when the choti and sunglasses comes off, you know saamne wale ki shaamat aa gayi hai. He seemingly tries to make an effort to push aside though sometimes coz it seems he has childhood insecurities because of it. It was not explored as a sub-plot, though we always hoped to know why Chhotu used to go into a melancholy mode when it came to people appreciating his machoism 

In all, Ketan Sir had played him effortlessly, and indeed when we think of the show Har Yug Mein Aayega Ek Arjun, Chhotu ranks as one of our absolute beloved characters

𝔸𝕪𝕖𝕤𝕙𝕒 𝕂𝕒𝕡𝕠𝕠𝕣

Inspector Ayesha Kapoor played by the very dynamic actor Shital Shah was a very unconventional female character written in the show. A police officer in disguise as a drug dealer who is later in disguise as a dancer. Uffff!! Starting from her entry as an undercover cop whose mission was destroyed by the ETF to her snide remarks directed at Arjun and sometimes at the team. Initially, they had portrayed her to be the female version of Arjun and was actually paired opposite to him as told by Shaleen. 

But later the makers wanted Sameer to have a love interest and made changes to her character to fit that of Sameer's. She turned rather soft-spoken but strong, a pillar to her friends and very cautious. This was not her starting self. Her bedhadak nature, rough attitude, and fewer words had actually made Chotu and Shree alienate from her. They missed Riya who was their 3 a.m. best friend and who would listen and share everything about life. Ayesha was not like that and no one even forced her to be like that. It was during the felicitation ceremony for the martyrs that Ayesha realised who the team had lost and tried to adapt to her new workplace and workmates.

In the same ceremony, Sameer not only stole the audience's hearts by escorting an inconsolable Riya's mom to the stage but probably even left a mark in Ayesha's mind. Her ability to understand her seniors' relationship dynamics also helped her survive the heated office. If there was someone other than Arjun who could poke Sameer's feelings it would be Ayesha.

After some time she herself gelled with everyone in the team, including Liza and Sakshi who joined later. She actually became their midnight BFF. She enjoyed every small banter in the office, either be it of Shree-Liza, Shree-Chotu, or Arjun-Sakshi and if she ever felt Sakshi could cross the line in her banter with Arjun, she would stop her. On the other hand, Sameer would actually not say anything. It seemed like he was actually enjoying an annoyed Arjun Rawte. She made Sakshi realise that she indeed was falling for Arjun. 

She knew everyone's place in the team and even respected them for it. And whenever Shree would look down upon Liza's role in the team, she would gently call him out. Her constant bets with Shree and the ones specifically related to Arjun would always give a tickle. Hyping up Chotu by tricking him to find the suspicious prostitute for the case, especially when he gets so nervous around girls was laudable. She always had her way around difficult or tense situations and most importantly she was of immense support to Arjun. We saw this when Shree was badly injured by a psychopath killer and Arjun's anger was seemingly uncontrolled. 

She did not take her pre-requested leave for her father's surgery but instead fought for many girls and Shree. During the final showdown, she was just making sure that Arjun doesn't hurt himself in anger and not create any complications for himself. Even when Arjun had locked himself in the coffin she was sobbing just by the thought of the unfortunate. Arjun also quite a few times referred to Ayesha's behaviour as that of Sameer's and her words constantly reminded him of Sameer. It was even seen that Ayesha sensed familiarity in the workplace. Either be it Arjun spending the nights in agony or Sameer looking at him in pain and grief, she knew there was something hidden behind the curtain and she would always try to tease it. Her work spoke volumes of the capable officer she is - Dedicated, determined, focused and resilient. Being in a male-dominated workforce and male-centric show, Ayesha Kapoor and Shital Shah created a very special place in the viewer's heart. 

Shital Shah herself is a symbol of power, strength, beauty and grace. Inclined towards the direction, a very male-driven field, she along with her production house have embarked on various path-breaking journeys and given opportunities and guidance to many budding aspirants. Apart from show business, Shital dons several other hats. She is a doting single mother to Serena (named after Serena Williams) and amazing support to her mom and sister. Shital along with her mom and sister have been trained in Odissi dance and have given various stage performances. Shital also makes amazing sketches in her free time and is an ardent lover of nature and art. It can be said that Art is a very strong influence in her life, either on the celluloid, the stage or the canvas.

A young girl with beauty and brains is more interested in checking out dead bodies rather than the alive handsome men around her; sounds weird right? But when it comes to ETF and its members, everything and everyone is special and unique, so how could she be an exception to it?

Lisa D' Cruz, the forensic expert of ETF, unearths clues through the specimen collected at the crime scene and has the knack of handling dead bodies just in the same way she plays with dolls, which she totally enjoys.

She is a young, smart and chirpy girl. Her nature hides a sharp mind and keen sense that picks out the clues through scientific methods. No one can guess from her looks that she could be a forensic expert but when it came to being professional and working, she would always put her forensic cap on and then swoosh!!! you are one step closer to solving the case and arresting the culprit, which shows how good she is in her field.

She has a gutsy personality that makes her look all cool and swaggalicious. She is like Mentos who had that cooling effect but had that strong influence and well that left you wondering as to how anyone could be like this. Though she is just a part of extended help and not directly into fieldwork or hardcore investigation, still she was an inevitable part of the team and the show.

She has an amazing rapport with the entire team and shares great bonds with the other ladies in the team as well! Lisa, with both ACP Rathod and ACP Rawte, have a professional relationship. She either tells her about discovering boggling facts about the dead body or gives updates on the reports to them but the level of easiness in the relationship is more with the chief as compared to the second-in-command. Though ACP Arjun doesn't say or show his feelings for others, everyone in the team is like a family member to him.

Coming to her bond with other girls in the ETF team, they make an awesome threesome. Ayesha is already a part of the team when Lisa joins the ETF and Sakshi joins their group later. The three; Lisa, Sakshi and Ayesha are like that group of girls from high school movies who are always spotted together. I know it's usually arrogant or mean girls who are seen in threes but here they break that stereotype…it's the "good ones" in threes!

The most interesting thing to watch about her character is her chemistry with Shree, which stands apart right from her entry into the ETF. Ayesha and Chotu too find it interesting. She was Shree's college mate..no no..no, if you are thinking they were friends, then let me clear you, they were not friends any day! They would actually prefer to kill each other before accepting to others that they share a friendship bond...

Friendship would run miles away from what they share with each other. They always stood as rivals competing for first place in college and in the ETF, nothing changes those traits in both. Friendship, enmity, hatred, love...or maybe a blend of all those emotions in incorrect propositions, that’s what they share! Actually only they can tell you what feelings they actually share with each other.

Their nok-jhoks are a real treat and you would love to watch them. She loves to annoy him by addressing him as Specky Sen and succeeds in it as well, which he never likes and calls her Aafat. They never leave a chance to taunt each other and complement each other with snide sarcastic remarks. Both are always at loggerheads and their every conversation ends in an argument or sort of like that, leaving us wondering when and how these two strong intellectual loggerheads would eventually fall in love but before we could witness that, Shree disappears from ETF and Lisa gets killed in a bomb blast.

Ritu Chauhan played the role of Lisa D'Cruz. She carries it perfectly fulfilling every requirement in the checklist that the role demanded.

When the ETF Team were dead sure that an old, serious, and no-bullshit kind of lady would enter their team as a crime reporter, to report their proceedings to the public, they were stunned to see Sakshi Anand. 

Sakshi Anand was a happy-go-lucky girl next door who would light your life with her bright smile. She was everything that the ETF hadn't expected. She was friendly, easy to adjust to, and had child-like innocence that won everyone's heart in no time. Sakshi came in as a puddle of happiness, much to the dismay of our tough, no-nonsense cop Arjun. 

But where she always retained her child-like innocence, never letting it die. She was also curious, observant, and inquisitive, the traits that made her the perfect crime reporter. For her, having a good rapport with everyone wasn't only important on the personal front but also professionally. 

She too had her demons to fight, crime reporting was never simple and it had its risks that she had to face each day. But there's a saying, "No hurdle is too big when it's about following your passion" and for Sakshi, crime reporting was that passion for which she could face risks each passing day. 

Sakshi's entry brought light to Arjun's dark life. Having lost his wife and Riya, Arjun had his own fears and insecurities, but Sakshi was someone you just couldn't ignore. She was weird in her own special ways, but equally mature and responsible, probably the only one who could understand Arjun's pain. She was the one who understood Arjun's pain as no other did. She was empathetic and righteous, standing for her people when needed. 

She was disliked by the fans when she entered the show since there were suspicions that she was planted by Sikander to spy on the team but with her likeable character and empathetic nature, she won over those too. But certain characters are short-lived, and so was hers. 

Mrunal Thakur as Sakshi Anand managed to win numerous hearts and fans for life with her fantastic acting skills and adorable smile.

Karan, a mechanic by profession, a harmless flirt and who was once a thief too but not of the professional level, before becoming a partner and friend of Arjun. He met Arjun for the first time during the organ racket case where he had mistakenly stolen the truck which had human organs, for which he had been caught and put behind bars by Arjun. Later Arjun made him fled with him and both together put the real culprits behind the bars.

After that incident Karan suggests Arjun to make a team to help the people who are waiting for Justice. Arjun first rejected the idea but one of his student made him to change his mind. He, then agreed to Karan's proposal and since then they became friends forming the pair "Karan-Arjun" and started solving cases together, which became their part time job. He fondly calls Arjun as Shera

.

Karan is a mast-maula type of person and master of his own. He has a little bit of a reckless attitude yet is compassionate. He takes care of the street children by providing them food to eat, and shelter to live in and ensures that they all get proper education. He is popular as "Robinhood" among them.

As a person, he is a great friend to others, always ready to help his friends in need and fight for them; full of courage, can take any risks to give justice to others; fearless and doesn't care about anyone's threat or law if he thinks he's right and hence his chhattis(36) ka aakda with police, like Arjun says "even if Karan breaks the signal by mistake, police will directly put him jail instead of taking fine that too without making any case"; sharp and reasonable who doesn't jump to conclusions directly while solving cases. He always comes up with his strong reasons after doing homework on his theories, like the drug peddling case where he proved his point by showing the bank statement of the victim or the missing girl case where Arjun's information about the girl turned out to be wrong when Karan showed Facebook account of the girl and proved his point to Arjun by talking to her ex-boyfriend.

Though Karan and Arjun are partners, Karan is equally capable of solving cases on his own like the Priest's murder case. He isn't among those 'jo josh mein hosh aasani se kho de' as you can see in the Priyanka Murder case where he stopped Arjun from attacking the boys and convinced common people with his act to punish them for their crimes outside the court only. He has his own ways to get the work done, sometimes using his power and sometimes using his brain. He can even make a serious situation light with his humour.

With Simran, he either gets involved in nok-jhoks with her or flirts with her and sometimes becomes caring too when she is in danger or becomes upset. They both share nice chemistry and make a cute pair, where She is his Heroine and He is her Hero. Coming to Karan's relationship with Anjali, he shares a nice bond with her. Initially, he underestimated Anjali's capabilities but later realised his mistake and managed to convince her and became friends. Sometimes he used to address her as Chashmish.

Rohit Purohit played the character of Karan beautifully. Serious yet humorous, flirtatious yet caring, in all he portrayed every shade of Karan very nicely.

Simran is a struggling actor who is looking for an opportunity to make a big name in the film industry. She is a fun-loving and bubbly girl who talks a lot but she is caring and sensitive too.

She is a drama queen yet good at heart and always ready to help Karan and Arjun in giving justice to others by going undercover, sometimes as a reporter or a maid or someone else by risking her own life but when it comes to acting she mostly overacts. Once she had asked Arjun about her acting and he said the truth, making her upset but she took his comment bravely and requested him to have the breakfast made by her, looking concerned for him. He took a bite of breakfast and complimented her which brought the smile back to her face.

She keeps flirting with Arjun in a friendly manner and gets involved in some nok-jhoks with Karan. Some memorable scenes between Arjun and her were when they pretended to be Mr and Mrs Agrawal during a case investigation and when she taunted him "tum hamesha yeh papa wala dialogues kyu bolte ho?'' during shopping in the mall. 

She has a habit of coming to conclusions easily and unlike Karan, she easily believes Arjun's theories when it comes to solving cases. Sometimes she also uses Arjun's style to get the work done like in the drug peddling case to meet the victim in jail. Most of the time she is likely to get caught by others due to her overacting and sometimes her careless nature but her presence of mind always helps her to get out of those situations.

Sheena Bajaj as Simran was fantastic. She portrays every nuance of her character beautifully, be it her cuteness, her caring or her chirpy nature.

'Age is just a number'. This phrase perfectly fits Anjali, an extraordinary girl, call a student, hacker, inventor or Tech Expert, she is everything. She is just around 8-10 years in age and studies in the same school where Arjun teaches self-defence to students after leaving the ETF.

She is a whizz just like our IT guy, a mini version of Shree who sometimes used to wear specs just like him. Any tasks related to computers, whether creating fake IDs, searching information on the web, getting information by hacking the database or even getting forensic reports, she is the one for whom Arjun or Karan looks after and is capable of doing possible things in a better way.

Arjun and Anjali are not just teacher-student, they both share a beautiful friendship too. They know each other very well, to such an extent that she can even predict correctly why Arjun has called her at night or what help he wants from him. Also, Arjun can guess what she is capable of doing and what she is going to complain about.

They both met at the defence class for the first time in the school where she was late and Arjun came to know a special thing about her that she can read 7 newspapers completely in an hour which left him amused but their friendship and partnership started when she left him impressed and speechless with her smartness by opening an automatically locked door of the car with the help of Arjun's cellphone. Arjun fondly calls her Einstein and she addresses him as Mr Arjun. 

She is a sweet girl who likes eating pizza and chocolate milkshakes, is always ready to help others, especially her Mr Arjun and sometimes teaches lessons to others who trouble others but she doesn't like it when others underestimate her, just because she is a school going kid or when someone reminds about her disability of leg or when Arjun conveniently forgets to take her outside for solving cases with them.

Actually, she is a 'chota packet bada dhamaka'. Once she saved the great ex-ACP Arjun Rawte from getting trapped in a fraudster's plan with the help of her invented jacket which has a GPS signal and is charged by the body temperature of the person who is wearing it. Not only that she also helped him in collecting evidence with the help of her invented remote control camera car.

When it comes to relationships with Karan and Simran, she doesn't like when Karan and Simran underestimate her capabilities because of her age otherwise, gets along well with them. Karan never underestimated her intelligence after their first meeting and never felt hesitated to take her help when needed. Simran on the other hand conveniently forgets Anjali's smartness sometimes and gets involved in arguments with little Einstein. One such incident almost made Arjun laugh while sipping his tea.

Shruti Bisht played the character of Anjali who lends a perfect blend of cuteness and smartness to the character and conveys the message that never underestimate the capabilities of children.

Sameer was this tough but soft duty bound, calm chief of ETF and Ayesha the gust of wind that brought in his life, the fragrance of love and care.

Ayesha saw through the tough chief, a man who had a cracked relation with his second-in-command but one who cared for him deeply, she saw the man who was a strong, silent support for not only Arjun but every team member and showed him what life could be. Celebrating Love in HYMAE Arjun : In the 'Arjun' universe, there are many beloved ships. But undisputedly the most loved and missed is the bond that Arjun and Riya shared. I can safely speak for all Ariya shippers that those 21 episodes remain to be our favourite moments in Arjun's journey, one where we saw him soften, begin to smile and slowly open up. Only for the 22nd to shatter our hearts and leave us with a void that at least I still haven't been able to fill. 

For me personally, in 10 years, no other couple has held a candle to what Ariya shared. The kind of hold these two have on me is unparalleled. And a small part of my heart will always cherish their journey. 

I was a little late to the fandom. Only found the show a couple of years after it had gone off-air. When I binged the first 22 episodes in 3 days only to find Riya gone by the end of it - I was distraught. But their journey opened the door to a very new world for me. The world of fan fictions became my solace. It was them that got me into the world of not only FF's but also India forums. I was surprised that so many people fell so in love with them in a mere 22 episodes... it made me believe that Sana and Shaleen really did create magic on screen as Riya and Arjun. One that enchanted our minds and captured our hearts. 

On the momentous occasion of the show turning a decade. I think it is worth taking a moment to relive this short and yet wonderful journey these two shared. One that though had begun to take shape of something beautiful only to end on a tragic note. One that has grown to become a part of us. 

Their story started with a misunderstanding, a fight unlike what we normally see between two leads of a show took place, not words but punches were thrown at each other.

For Riya, Arjun evoked mixed feelings. She hated him for being cold, she was annoyed at his rude behaviour and yet by the end of their first case together she couldn't help but admire him for the brilliant cop he was. 

And while Arjun held no special feelings towards her, his stoic and cold behaviour as unwavering as ever. He couldn't help but begin to steal glances of the research specialist. 

And though they both misunderstood each other at one point or another, bantering and taunting each other between cases. Somewhere amidst Arjun's "dur raho mujhse" and Riya's "aurat ki kabilyat par kabhi shakh nahi karna chahiye" a slow warmth began to develop. The rough and tough ACP, that had buried all feelings after the death of his wife smiled. He smiled in the comfort of her presence, he smiled at her words, he smiled at HER.

Arjun's well built walls round  had started to show signs of crumbling in Riya's presence. The man that had lost all faith in god allowed Riya to place a silver coin, one that ultimately saved his life, in his pocket. It seemed almost like god had given whatever was growing between these two his blessings.  

Arjun 'I don't care' Suryakant Rawte, had slowly started to care. As Riya's guilt eats away at her, it is Arjun who steps in to console her. "Tumne ek jaan li nahi hai Riya, ek jaan bachayi hai. Dono mein bahut farak hota hai"

This is easily my favourite Ariya moment. In her most vulnerable state Riya found Arjun as her pillar. The one who showed her that it wasn't her fault and that she had nothing to feel guilty about.           

The silent growth of their bond was the highlight of the first 22 episodes. Though nothing much was said so much was conveyed. From being teased by Chotu and Shree to stealing glances. From the thank you's to the your welcomes Arjun and Riya had become Ariya. 

But kehte hai na ishq sacha wahi jisse milti nahi manzile.  Jaise yeh kahaani adhuri thi waise hi iss kahaani ka yeh hissa adhura rehe gaya. Riya's time in the Arjun verse had only just began when it came to an end. 

Arjun once again found himself helpless as yet another person he cared about stared death in its eyes. 

"Tumhe kuch nahi hoga Riya" was Arjun's desperate attempt to latch on to the last shred of hope. It was him hoping against hope. But Riya knew, Riya knew the moment she made the decision that what would come next would be the last couple of moments she would have left. 

"Please Riya, don't give up on me" was Arjun's last plea

As she breathed her last, her words were left unfinished. Ones that she wanted to convey to Arjun. Even in her last seconds she felt this need in her to tell Arjun that she now understood, why she never really understood. And what she had left unfinished, Arjun finished for her. 

Closing her eyes, was their last goodbye to each other. 

She died a hero, saving millions of lives at the cost of her own. Riya had grown to be a beyond cable officer. She had grown to be a brave one, doing something very few can. And with her gone, ended Ariya's journey. 

But that was only in the show. A lot of wonderful writers have taken it upon themselves to complete the story that was left unfinished. And so through them, I have lived their journey multiple times, a thousand different journeys a 1000 different times.

Arjun-Sakshi a bond formed by pain. One masked it with anger and another with smiles.

Notwithstanding the speculation around her being a spy planted by Sikandar, she was one among the ETFians and challenged Arjun's authority. A strong, opinionated and perhaps, flawed character, she stood her ground and accepted her flaws.

Arjun, somewhere valued her sources of info, contacts and unconventional tasks.

She managed to draw every hidden emotion in Arjun and forced him to react. She harboured a deep, selfless, may be one-sided love which Ayesha made her realise.

She did everything to bring a smile on his face, almost turned into a genie to fulfill his little wishes of a cutting Chai during a night duty. She also became a butt of his crazy ideas and experiments. She is mindless at times in her actions, but never with the wrong intentions. That doesn't mean she can't relate with a person's pain.

From "Tum meri zindagi ka rukh nahin badal sakte, Arjun" to "I do believe you", pain was what bound them, pain was what made them strong.

"I promise Shree, main Arjun ke chehre pe smile la kar rahungi." 

Arjun was not prone to Sakshi's charms and although he often got fed up with her and taunted her, Arjun did care about her. When Sakshi had been "injured" in one of the cases, Arjun had felt guilt and remorse for sending her into a warehouse with armed men. This was where we found Sakshi turning a cold shoulder towards Arjun and the said man with the devil may care attitude started to care for her. That included making sure to help her get in and out of the SUV or simply making sure she doesn't stress out. 

Sakshi, however, made the mistake of lying to Arjun about her injuries and once again Arjun's attitude towards her changed to the old. His taunts returned but she ignored them. She once brought him his favourite biryani, too. 

She was most weak when Arjun hid inside a coffin risking his life. She was perhaps the only one he opened up to, showed his vulnerable side and agreed that "ETF is the only family he is left with".

Before either could settle their emotions for each other, fate had other plans:

Action Choreography, Background score & Casting

Action is the mainstay of any Crime show and we got to see some amazing action sequences that were well choreographed, shot and edited. The highlight is being shot in actual locations gives it the deserved authenticity.

What's more, the action was not limited to the male officers, it showed that the female officers are just as efficient, just as robust and just as strong when it comes to action.

a. Whether it is Arjun coming out of a house with a single hand shot on a bike or the boat chase sequence in Goa 

b. Whether it is the Jump Kick which would become Shaleen Malhotra's trademark

c. Jumping over a car

d. the Pen trick 

e. Revolver Trick

f. Riya's blows to the culprits,

g. Ayesha's impeccable aim and blows even with Arjun or

h. Sakshi's slingshot to stop a drug peddler from escaping.

remain fresh in memory and give the same excitement each time we view it.

Background score is crucial to trigger curiosity, emote the characters and something that stays in memory for a long time. The show leveraged this to the "T" with distinct themes each of which was aptly pitched and enhanced the mood of the sequence.

What does one say that is not already known about the Casting?!

Hats off to the Casting Directors because we wouldn't have it any other way. One cannot think of any other actor in place of the existing cast. They ALL fit their roles like a hand glove.

Gorky Max

It was in Mumbai, the city of dreams where Gorky Max soared the skies, making this show an unforgettable experience for everyone involved and its numerous fans even after a decade.

He created the detective series Krishna - Arjun, turned producer in 2008 and co-founded 4 Lions Films with his wife Gul Naz.  His directing credits also include "Humse Hai Liife" on Channel V and "Arjun" for Star Plus for 4 Lions Films.

Being the creative head of Arjun it's him who makes everything on the screen look real and his impeccable direction makes the serial a must-watch. Everyone remembers the first episode of Arjun the twists, the interaction between Arjun and Riya, the famous pink pen, then the boat chase, and the Shraadh scene which had got tears to many eyes, and the pain both Arjun and Sameer on losing Roshini and of course the underlying care masked by anger on both sides.

Two gems, two dreamers, two inspirational writers who gave us yet another reason to wait for the weekends. 

Right from the bang on the first episode they had always left us speechless with their gripping, nail-biting amazing story writings and had proved their mettle.

Some of them were:

The first episode, the double murder case, missing Kalki Devi case, Ganapati Idol case, Xora virus case, Ayesha's entry episode, stolen crown episode, Lisa's entry episode and lots more.

They were not just the scriptwriters, they were the pillars on which the show stood, they were the souls and actual brains behind creating HYMAE Arjun who worked day and night. They had given their heart and soul to this show. 

They truly weaved magic and cast a spell on the viewers with their magical writing! They made us all fall hopelessly in love with the show and of course Arjun. Every single character they had created got etched to our hearts in such a way that it never faded in years, not to forget their signature lines samjhe ya samjhau, dammit, kuch to chhoot raha hai...

They left the show after episode 75 and new writers - Nadeem Khan, Suhani Kanwar, Deepak, and Dharmendra joined the crew in their places.
