CHAPTER 1
This story starts from the end of the 35th episode of the original drama Aik Sitam Aur.
Nikaah evening
Scene 1 (Ushna's room)
Zainab - Muh latka ke kyu baithi ho? itni pyari lag rahi ho lekin chehre ki raunak gayab hai. Nikah hai aaj tumhara! thoda to muskura do!
Ushna murmured - isi baat ka to gam hai!
Zainab - Ye apne chehre se mayusi hatao. Aapa ya wahab ne aise dekha to kya sochenge. Dulhan ke chehre pe chamak na ho to puri shadi fiki lagti hai.
Ushna - Main try kar rahi hu na mumma.
Zainab - Main janti hun.
Lekin ek baar, mere kehne pe, pure dil se koshish karo. Vishwas karo, tumhe mere is faisle ka kabhi pachtava nai hoga
Ushna - hmmm...
Zainab - guests aa gye hai, main Jake dekhti hu. Tum ready rehna.
Ushna - ji
Scene - 2 (Shehroze's room)
Naima - Dekhen wahab, hamare sahabzade aaj kitne ache lag rahe hai. Is din ka maine kitna intezaar kiya hai.
Wahab - Jach to aaj boht rahe hai Shehroz mia.
Par jab hamari bahu ke sath khade honge to baat hi kuch aur hogi.
Shehroze smiled weakly.
Naima - Aaj se aap ki zindagi ki nayi shuruwaat hai. Main chahti hu aap zindagi ke har rang ko jiye.
Shehroze goes to her mother and kneels down before. He asks politely - aap khush hai ammi?
Naima - Aaj mere bete ki shadi hai? Main khush kyu nahi houngi ? Aap khush hai?
Shehroze holding Naima's hand - agar aap khush hai to main bhi khush hu.
Naima smiles and says - Aap taiyar hoke niche aaiye. Hum guests ko receive karte hai.
Scene 3 ( The Lounge)
Guests came and settled themselves. Wahab, Naima and Zainab received them and made them comfortable. Shehroze was talking to the guests. All guests were from Shehroz side only hence all were waiting to see the bride only.
Zainab brought Ushna to the hall. Her beauty grabbed everyone's eyes. Ushna stood there trying her best to smile all the while. Nervous and cautious, she kept fidgeting with her dupatta.
Wahab took Ushna and made her stand beside Shehroze. She stood there like a statue, messed up mentally. She dint even looked at him. Shehroze kept looking at her and read her state of mind. He started conversation.
Shehroze - aapke chehre ki hawaiyen kyu udi Hui hai?
Ushna - ye aapki khush fehmi hai!
Shehroze - tumhara chehra bta raha hai, jaise kisi tote ko pinjre me kaid kar dia ho!
Ushna - aap to bade shaukh se nikah kar rahe hai?
Shehroze - haa, meri khwaish hai ki zindagi me ek bar jungli billi ko kabu karu!
Ushna stares at shehroze
Ushna - Aap ki jankari ke lie bta dun, cha ke bhi, mujhe apki baton me koi interest nahi ata!
Shehroze- tum chacho-na-chaho, baat to mujhi se karni hai...
ZINDAGI BHAR....
Ushna stares him in anger
Ushna tried to avoid Shehroze for the remainder of the function.
Maulvi came to perform the wedding rituals.
Ushna was joyless, worried and uncertain. Reality was unimaginable for her; while Shehroze mentally settled down himself with this compromise.
Both Shehroze and Ushna accepted each other, unwillingly. With the grace of almighty, Nikah was solemnized. Wahab, Naima and Zainab had tears of happiness. All showered the couple with lifetime of blessings.
Scene 4 (Corridor)
Both were told to pose for photos. Ushna din't expected this. She wished this could be avoided. Shehroze babbled to himself "ye bhi jhel lenge".
Both were taken to corridor for pictures. Ushna was too mentally exhausted to follow photographer's instructions. Her attire was only worsening her condition, making her unsteady. Shehroze decided to take charge. He held her and made her pose as per the instructions.
Shehroze whispered to her - "smile to karo"
Ushna - "apke sath photos lene ka koi shaukh nai hai ! choren mujhe"
Shehroze - "pehle photos to lelo. Tumhari barbadi ke din ki yadein to bana len"
Ushna wriggled to free herself but in vain. She then let go and posed as she was too tired to fight back. Both were taken for dinner after that.
Scene 5 - Dining area
Shehroze was hungry so he had a proper meal. Ushna hardly had appetite even though she skipped her lunch. She was not in her frame of mind. Shehroz observed that she barely ate anything but he chose to ignore.
Wahab and Zainab were taking care of guests. Shehroze and Ushna were sitting with Naima.
Naima - "aap dono chahe to room me jake rest kar sakte hai. Shehroze aap Ushna ko unke room tak chor ayen."
Shehroze looked at his mom with surprise and replied - "ammi ye choti bachi nai hai. Apne aap ja sakti hain. Main upar ja raha hu"
He was about to leave from there when Naima said in - " Vo dulhan hai bete. Aur kon sa apko 2 kilometer dur chor ke ana hai. Please chor ke ayen inhe."
Shehroze agreed unwillingly.
Scene 6 - (The hall)
Shehroze and Ushna were going to their rooms. Shehroze then moved towards staircase.
Ushna called out - "Agar yaadasht kamzor ho gai hai to badam khila dun; aunty ka farmaan suna nai aapne?"
Shehroze turned back and retorted - "kyu? nikah ke sadme me aap apne kamre ka rasta bhul gai hain?"
Ushna - "is nikah ke sadme me kon kya bhulta hai ye waqt bataega ! "
Shehroze " let's see!"
" Main ja raha hun upar"
He started taking stairs. He hardly took 3-4 stairs when he realised the guests are still around. He looked back to find that all guests were gazing the beautiful bride. That irked him. Ushna was still standing there like a kid, sorting her dupatta, unaware of everone's gaze on her.
Shehroze took a deep sigh, kept his frustration aside, and moved back to her.
He reached her and said - " Chalo "
She looked up to him, amazed at his sudden change of mind. She replied - " main khud ja sakti hu. Aapko zehmat karne ki zarurat nai hai"
Shehroze repeated himself - " CHALO"
He took her with him and accompanied her to her room. He was returning back when she taunted from back - " Aunty ki itni farmabardari! "
He looked back at her. She continued - " Sahi hai! Koi to ho jo is belagm ghode pe lagam laga sake"
Shehroze controlled his anger, chose not to retort back, and went from there leaving her with her false assumptions.
