Khurana Mansion….
Maan just comes from the outhouse to have breakfast….
Ever since Annie came home, Maan has made it a point to join her for breakfast….
But today Maan has unusually come earlier…
This is the time when Madan has his breakfast…
Maan comes and sits beside Madan…
Pummy: ji, aap ko kuch chahiye
Pummy is signalling her husband to ask Maan what he would have…
Maan takes the plate and serves himself…
He is happy to have the Paratha kept on the table…
Normally he has cereal and eggs…
But they are not ready yet, it’s not Maan’s timing haina?
Pummy and Madan look at each other… what’s going on?
They are totally surprised, for Maan has never shared a meal with Madan before that…
After Pammy came to KM marrying Madan khurana as his second wife, this is the first time Maan has surprised them like this…
Maan likes to eat with his little sister Annie though…
It’s not Pammy’s fault that Maan remains aloof…
Even as a kid, Maan has always been so reserved and likes to be left on his own….
Mostly he stayed in boarding schools and during the holidays he stayed in the OH…
Maan never comes to the mansion, he eats at the OH itself…
Nakul serves Maan’s food at the OH itself…
Usually Maan makes his own breakfast, and occasionally he prepares dinner too…
During the holidays he never stayed at home at all… Somehow he hates it, according to him, this entire concept of a house, or a home where you live as a family, is just an exaggerated mockery of human relationships, a fake show-off of fake people for the fake society…..
Maan would rather go to the Khurana Constructions and do something productive instead….
And that is what he has been doing, his life is his business…
At weekends he went out… somewhere hiking and camping…
There were rumors that khurana ji is very selfish and Pammy married him only for his money….
When the single father with a toddler son, Mr. Madan Khurana, looked for someone to look after his family while he was busy with his business, he had a lot of lucrative offers, but he chose Pammy…
Maan’s Dadima had also started looking for a suitable girl to take care of her son and grandson….
Dadima was actually looking for a caretaker and not a wife as such for her son….
Dadima was very cautious, she wanted her grandson to have a very happy life ahead without any complications or any problems because of the remarriage….
Pammy is the only daughter of her unfortunate mother who had no one except her child in this world….
The two of them lived for each other in their small world…
While Pammy grew up into this young lady ready to start her life, her mother got wicker and sicker….
And she left her daughter all alone at last….
Pammy had just lost her mother and had no one to care for her….
Pammy’s distant relative one Mr. Saxena knew Madan as a business colleague….
When he got to know about Madan’s needs, he was immediately reminded of Pammy…..
He proposed that Pammy married Madan….
Mr. Saxena told Madan that Pammy would readily accept the khurana family as her own without any problem…. This girl just needs a family and she has zero expectations from the marriage whatsoever….
Madan then married Pammy for he couldn't take proper care of his son alone…
Dadima put a condition that Pammy would never have a child of her own and she will always be the mother of Maan only….
Pammy was devastated after the demise of her mother…
All the years she lived for her mother, and had no fancy dreams of marriage like other girls of her age, for she was aware of her miserable condition…
She was so desperate to have someone in her life so that she would have a purpose to live….
She took the opportunity as a means to lead a respectful and dignified life as a part of the prestigious Khurana family, and she happily agreed for Dadi’s conditions….
Everything was fine and Pammy actually loves Maan as her own child and took care of him very well….
After six months Pammy got pregnant….
it was not planned, it just happened without her knowledge….
Dadima was hell bound to drop the child but Madan couldn't betray his second wife, who had given him true love without any expectations from him….
He turned against his mother so that they can have this child….
Madan and Pammy left the Mansion and went their way while dadima took care of Maan all alone…..
Within a few years dadima fell ill and she passed away….
After that Madan and Pammy came back to the Mansion… Maan was six years old then…
Maan was already studying in the boarding school and he continued to stay aloof even though his family had returned…..
Maan had no grudges against Pammy but his experiences have made him cold and indifferent not only from this relationship but from any kind of relationship for that matter…
Maan has always been scared of being loved, for he didn't receive even the purest form of love, mother's love….
He had no faith in love of any form…
However he had an exception…
When Madan and Pammy returned to the Mansion, Annie was just a toddler….
Whenever Maan came back from school and stayed at the outhouse during the holidays, Annie always went and stayed with him only…
She always went and caught his hand, and asked him to come and play with her…
Maan couldn’t say no to his little sister Annie, for she was just a kid like him and Annie had nothing to do with whatever happened in his life…
Annie is the only one who has the privilege of being a part of her brother's life….
However her brother is a man of few words and he shows his love through his actions mostly….
Pammy kept complaining to Madan that Maan is yet to accept her, but Maan maintains a distance even with Madan…
The only time he got involved in family matters was at Annie’s marriage….
He fulfilled his responsibility as an elder brother without any reservations… he wanted everything to be the best for his little ssister….
He was very particular to establish himself as a responsible elder brother for he wanted to show the groom's family that Annie has got a Big Brother and no one dare to mess with his little sister’s life…..
Madan wanted Maan to get married first before they can think of any’s marriage for Maan is 5 years elder to her…
But Maan was never interested in marriage or in starting a family of his own… his only interest is his business and he asked Madan to first settle Annie in a good family and he is in no hurry for his marriage…
Maan is at the Mansion and to everyone’s surprise he is here at the breakfast table sitting with his father Madan…
Usually he leaves the place if Madan or Pammy are alone without Annie…
Maan was expecting Annie to be there but Annie is missing…
Maan is a little disappointed…
Pammy is serving Madan and Maan usually servess himself when Annie is not there…. Madan knows that Maan is looking for Annie…
Maan always leaves to office only after seeing Annie….
Madan: Pammy, where is Annie?
Pammy: Annie is with Riya in the garden
Maan thinks that he would go and say hi to Riya later...
Riya will be looking forward to her chocolate… Maan gives her a chocolate every day…
Maan is silent and is just staring his plate and thinking about something seriously…
Madan: Pammy, go and call Annie
Pammy leaves as she knows that Madan wants to have a chat with his son alone…
Madan: so Maan it seems that Mr. Sharma is still waiting
Maan doesn’t respond….
Madan: what shall I tell him Maan?
Maan: I never asked anyone to wait. I already said no.
Madan: OK. I’ll tell him that, but what about me? How long should I wait?
Maan: not very long, I have been thinking about that only
Madan is so surprised, finally Maan has started thinking about marriage…
Madan: you don’t worry, there are a lot more options other than the Sharma’s, I will take care of it

Madan couldn’t control his joy… Pammy is annoyed looking at the childish behavior of Madan…
What’s there to be so happy, with their daughter having come to stay with them, with their grandchild, leaving her husband’s home?
But she is curious to know what has happened for her husband to behave oddly….
Madan: Pammy, did you hear that? Our Maan has decided to get married, isn’t that a great news?
Yes, Madan has been waiting for this for a long time…
Maan is getting older and older, and he has never shown any interest in marriage…
Madan felt guilty for he blames himself for Maan’s disbelief in family and marriage, he always thought he had sacrificed Maan’s life for his own happiness…
It’s like the story of King Shantanu and his son Bhishma from the Mahabharata…
The only difference is that our Bhishma has shun his bachelorhood and has decided to get married…
That’s is why Madan is so happy and relieved…
But Pammy is really shocked…. She has her own reasons…

Madan: Maan, i am so happy, who's that lucky girl?
Maan: miss Geet
Now even Madan is shocked… Maan has even chosen his bride? that’s so not like the MSK….
Madan: what? Which Geet?
Maan is stubborn and determined, he repeats…
Maan: miss Geet Handa, I want to marry miss Geet Handa
Madan couldn’t believe what he just heard….
