A rather reluctant Anubhav was on the way to be pushed into his room by his rather excited uncle, sister-in-law, and brother; except that it wasn't just his room anymore. It had been an eventful day, and the night before. The room now belonged to someone besides him, and so did everything he owned.
"Yeh so-called suhagraat meri hai aur aap teeno zyaada excited lag rahe hain," he said, utterly disinterested.
"Tu hai hi itna boring ki humein teri jagah excited hona pad raha hai. Tere system se emotions delete ho gaye hain kya?" Chanchal replied.
"Aur nahi toh kya?" Neeti added.
"Chachu... please. Uss jaisi ladki se kisiki shadi ho toh-"
"-toh uske bhagya khul jaate hain, humein achchhi tarah pata hai. Abhi time waste nahi karte hain. Main teen tak ginunga aur hum sab isse kamra mein dhakel denge. 1...2..." he paused, planting his palms on Anubhav's back, "3!"
And with that, he was pushed into his room. He grabbed wildly in the air to find something to hold on to in order to save him from falling, and before he knew it, the door was locked from the outside. Regaining balance, he stared in horror at the door. He banged at the wood, calling out the names of the trio one by one. No response came from outside, but somebody responded in an arrogant voice from behind him. "Darwaza lock kar diya gaya hai. Kholna hai toh todna padega."
He turned towards the voice to again be met with a scene of horror. Gungun had claimed his, HIS bed. Lying in the middle of it as though she had been sleeping on it forever, her phone in one hand, she stared at him as though he was the intruder in her room.
He walked further into the room. "Yeh tum kya kar rahi ho?"
"Bed per leti hun, dikhayi nahi deta kya?"
"Par yeh mera bed hai!"
Holding the nuptial chain in her neck in front of her, she said, "Par ab ispe mera bhi share hai. Pichhli baar ki tarah tum iss par haq jama ke mujhe hata nahi sakte."
"Toh main kahan sounga!" he voiced his utmost concern.
"Usse mujhe kya? Tumhe sona hai, tum socho," she said, putting the phone away. Ignoring his stares of disbelief, she spread the blanket over her and lied down in her previous niche, the middle of the bed.
"Iss bar tum mera kambal nahi khench sakte. Bade aaye kambal khenchu!"
"Oh, hello! Tum hoti kaun ho yeh decide karne wali ki main kya kar sakta hun aur kya nahi?" he said, snatching the blanket away from her, living up to his rechristening. Fire blazed in Gungun's eyes.
"Tumne mera kambal kheencha! How dare you! Main tumhari shikayat Bade Papa se karungi, apne Papa se karungi, Round Chachu se karung-"
"Achcha, achchha thik hai. Yeh lo," he said, giving her the blanket. "Complain box kahin ki," he added under his breath.
"Tumne kuchh kaha?" she inquired.
"Nahi, lekin mujhe kuchh kehna hai."
"Kaho!"
"Kam se kam mere liye jagah toh chhodo," he pleaded.
Her shoulders rose in a small laugh. "Main kyun tumhari baat sunu?"
"Arrey, par!" he paused, he couldn't lose control on his temper. "Arrey par fir main sounga kahan?"
"Tumhe ek baar mein sunayi nahi deta kya? Tumhe sona hai, tum socho. Jahan marzi waha so jao, bas mujhe pareshan mat karo," she concluded before dropping into the bed, probably drifting into sleep.
"Ziddi kahin ki," Anubhav said to himself, "ab main bhi wahin sounga jahan meri marzi hogi."
Saying so, he clutched a pillow to his chest and dropped into the bed beside Gungun, fuming with anger, his back to her.
Disturbed by the sudden movement, Gungun sat up. "Yeh tum kya kar rahe ho ?"
"Bed par leta hun, dikhayi nahi deta kya?" he replied, "Tumhi ne toh kaha tha. Jahan marzi wahan so jaun."
"Ugh, fine!" she groaned, placing a pillow between them and retiring to sleep in one corner of the bed.
Anubhav shook his head and, taking his glasses off, closed his eyes.

He had been finally drifting into slumber. Slowly, he was losing consciousness of the world around him and falling into sleep. But suddenly, a huge, invisible weight fell on his chest. He felt he would suffocate under the weight, it was going to kill him...
And suddenly, he gained consciousness again. No invisible weight had fallen on his chest. Over the pillow, Miss "Talk To My Hand" had thrown her hand on him in sleep.
Taking a deep breath, he removed her hand and put it in place before trying to sleep again. But sleep didn't come back, Gungun's hand did. Taking another deep breath to calm him, he put the hand away again. But this was not the last of it. At a few minutes' intervals, the hand came back and back.
At last, he gave up. With her hand on his chest, Anubhav retired to sleep. But this was not the last of it. The entire night, Anubhav couldn't sleep. Once he gave up on one arm, the other came and hit him on his face hard.
Soon, he gave up on sleep as well. By the middle of the night, the pillow Gungun set up between them was thrown across the room by her sleeping, but rather active and aggressive, form.
At last, when she had nothing else to throw on him, she threw herself. Quite literally. Three a.m. that night saw a sleeping Gungun clinging to the back of a helpless, sleep deprived Anubhav.
And poor Anubhav swung like a pendulum between wanting to run away and staying there so she didn't wake up, but was that the only motive?

That morning, Chanchal wished him good morning to which he replied rather lazily.
"Kya hua, Anubhav? Thik toh hai na tu?"
"Kuchh nahi, Chachu. Gungun ne puri raat sone nahi diya," he said, half asleep and swung his bag round his shoulder, departing for work; leaving behind a shocked Chanchal.
"Kya yeh humne sahi suna?" he questioned himself, utterly bewildered.

There goes my first ever OS on AnuGun. These two are too cute to resist, I had to write.
