Would Mela have been a hit if Aishwarya was the leading lady?

She deserved more than a cameo at the end

Darling, even if Madhubala was in it, it would not have been a hit. Have you seen the film? The script was straight outta 1985 and music was fresh outta 1995.

Please. Mela is such a shitty film that even its actors and maker are embarassed by it now.

There is no power on earth that could have made that film hit.

It was a misfit for its time of release as well. Maybe in 80s such a garbage film would work in some interiors of country (Mela has collected whatever it did from interiors). But definitely not in 2000.

I bet even Ash would have later regretted for doing a cameo in it.
