Chapter- 4

Third Person's Point of View

A big room, with light gray shaded wall, was being illuminated it's glow on the falling Sun rays, coming from the huge glass made window. The Sun had just risen from horizon; orangey-yellowish beams were reflecting from white sheet of the bed and spreading into the whole room beautifully. White curtains was moving with every gentle breeze, flipping the long, black hair of the woman who was sitting on her bed, folding her arms and knees together. Her head was resting on her knees.

A boy in his early teens came into her room without any permission or knocking. With his teary, frown, fair face, he took a sit on the bed, near the woman. Sensing his presence, she looked up, maintaining an eye contact with him. Her face was reddened; eyes were swollen; still she was smiling at him enduring her pain.

"I will listen to...you. I will be with them from now on... I promise!" He said in his shaking voice, holding up his tears.

"That's my boy!" She replied with a smile hugging him tightly.

*****************

The mansion was on chaos. Everyone was busy, walking and talking with the people of his/her need. Even in this evening time, it felt like busy morning schedule. Like any other ordinary days the members of this family was sitting in dinning area, eating snacks, talking with each other, smilingly sharing their stories and giggling in small issues.

Unlike other days, there was a small difference. The youngest daughter had returned home from London after almost 8 years, completing her education. Though she had come back yesterday, but her family members were not ready to let her go till now.

"So, you are permanently staying here. Right, Siya?" Her mother asked trying to ensure it repeatedly.

A mother's mind afterall.

"Yes Mom." She replied nodding her head smilingly.

Her white, sophisticated night gown was perfectly fitted on her body. Her long, opened, straight, black hair was moving with every rhythm of her body movement.

"Yes Siya, don't leave us this time. We missed you a lot. Without you children this big mansion is nothing but a haunted villa." Her aunt said in her sad, yet witty voice, making Siya laugh.

"She is not wrong, child." Her paternal grandmother said after laughing slightly.

It was a joyous moment, untill a sound of footsteps approached them. Seeing the source of that sound, Siya's face turned from smile to cold one within a moment. Playful atmosphere changed into tensed one. With the same rhythmic sound of footsteps, a person came in front of them. His white suit was expensive, elegant and formal. With white formal trousers, it was looking good on him. The tall figure gave them his usual smirk before landing his eyes on his lately returned sister.

"Hello Siya. After a long time." He said with his signature smirk, which made his sister getting up from the comfort sofa.

"Hello Vansh Bhai! We met again." With a cold smirk she replied.

*******

Vansh's Point Of View

"Hello Vansh Bhai! We met again." Her cold voice never left to amuse me.

You improved a lot Siya!

I chuckled.

"Yes. So how is your Jetlag? Getting better? Need a doctor?" I questioned her with my usual voice, putting a smirk on my face.

I knew, she hated it. But I loved to do such things to test her.

Old habits die hard.

She let out a laugh, making my eyebrows crocked a bit. Her attitude since her leaving home had changed a lot. I didn't catch it on phone thoroughly.

"You made me laugh. Nice joke, by the way!" Her sarcastic reply made my smirk widened.

"It's good to see that you have found it funny." I said looking at her eyes.

Those were replaced by coldness again. But this time, they were showing fire within it, a burning fire. With her slow steps, she was coming towards me. Mom, aunt were about to catch her; but failed due to their wrong timing.

Siya stopped walking after coming, to a particular point, maintaining an appropriate distance. Her brown eyes were never leaving my eyes. I was taller than her. Still it didn't create a problem for her to look at me. Her lips curled up slightly, making a smirk; her hands were folded on her upper torso, supporting her intimidating gesture perfectly.

"This time, I will get what I want and you can't stop me!" Her hard voice rang into my ears.

I was amused by her attitude. Her eyes were inspecting me thoroughly before giving a widened, cold smile.

"Welcome back to VR mansion Siya! I missed you a lot." I said smiling at her.

"Missed you too, Bhai!" Saying it with her nonchalant smile she left us behind, going upstairs to her room.

You have definitely improved a lot, my dear sister!

Smirking at her direction, I left from the dinning place to my room. The preparation for the foundation day was making everyone busy.

And I am not an expectation either...

°°°°°°°°°°°°°

"So, this organisation will be the last one to donate the funds. Others are enlisted already. They sent their funds into our charitable account." My secretary said, looking from the file she was holding.

"Good job! Now you can enjoy the party as well." I said with a professional smile.

Nodding her head, she left us after returning a professional smile. Angre was standing beside me, looking at his phone. His mind was stucked inside it for some reasons. He was behaving absent minded since his arrival, 1 hour ago; it was 7 o'clock now. I was observing him a bit before starting a conversation.

"Girl's problem? As I remember, you are currently single after your massive break up drama." Taking a ship from my white wine I said to him.

He looked at me with his unstable eyes before answering my questions.

"I fell in love with her at first sight. This time not because of looks; but because of her behaviour." He blurred out casually.

I almost chocked my liquor. I didn't expect this answer.

"What?" I exclaimed shockingly looking at him with unbelievable eyes.

"You and love at first behaviour?" I couldn't believe myself.

"See! Even I couldn't believe myself. What to do?" He said sighing deeply.

I just blinked my eyes.

"I didn't even know her name." He sighed again.

"Where did you see her?" I said composing myself a bit.

"On the road." He replied.

I stayed silent. He looked at me with his round, green eyes.

"Should I kick you or bang your head?" I responded looking at his frowned face.

"Do as you like. I left hope or might be hope left me..." He said sighing deeply, again.

This idiot!

I was about to say something. But the sight of my secretary caught my attention. She was walking towards me. After reaching to a spot she stopped walking and gave me her professional smile.

"Sir, people from S.H.D. NGO have already arrived." My secretary informed me before my eyes caught their figures.

That was the moment, when my breath caught inside my throat; my eyes turned wider. A beautiful lady, wearing off white gown, with her simple gesture was glowing brightly, while walking on the white hallway.

Riddhima Kapoor.

********

Riddhima's Point Of View

"So, technically they invited you through the organisation. Right?" Sejal said while eating her chips, looking at my dressing trials in front of the mirror.

"No. You got it wrong again. They invited the organisation through me." I said looking at my reflection carefully.

This one is going well.

The dress code for this event was off white. We could were both western and traditional. As the representative from our organisation, I was going with Ishani and our head Mr. Rudra. This event would be mainly focused on charity, which they would use on their CSR projects and donations on other enlisted NGOs. Our NGO was also included into those. That was also another reason to attend this event.

"Even after, how many times you say it, I can only conclude it in that way. They are trying to reach you through your organisation. That's it!" Saying it she sat on my bed eating her snacks.

I dismissed that logic right away.

"Don't create a mess. You are throwing it everywhere. I don't want to deal with the gang of ants at the middle of the night!" I said strictly looking at her.

Making a face she got up from the bed.

"So, Ishani di is also going with you. Did you discuss your dress and make up with her?" She asked me.

Now she was sitting on the chair near my study table.

"Yes. We have discussed it. They already told us about the dress code in the invitation card." I replied, picking up the dress I was searching for.

A long toe-length formal off white gown with long formal sleeves. There was no design on it, just the dress and the cuttings. An elegant and sophisticated choice from Ishani, as expected.

She is brilliant in it!

"Hmmm. These kind of parties are mainly for show off, you know. Showing off your money to the world, that's what they do. But even for that they get money in return. What an irony!" She laughed out loud, mockingly.

I chuckled.

"That's the system, dear. We can't change it; only blend in it to survive." I replied picking up the accessories, I was going to use tomorrow evening.

"That's true. By the way, one thing I found weirdly funny. Ishani di has same surname, 'Rai Singhania' and the party you two are going to attend is also under the name of 'Rai Singhania'. What a strange coincidence!" She said looking at me.

I looked at her smilingly on my mirror.

"Are they related, by chance? Even Kabir has 'Singhania' surname." Her eyes turned round in amusement.

"Yes, they are related. Just like Ranvir Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor, Shashi Kapoor and one lakh others are our relatives." I said sarcastically making her frown.

"Di!" She exclaimed in irritation.

"What? Many people use 'Rai Singhania' as their surname. Are they all going to be relatives? You and your logic. Are you really a law student?" I responded nodding my head hopelessly.

Her face frowned more while looking at me.

"But suppose one-day we had come to know that they were related. Then? It will be thrilling right?" Her face lit up again.

It was not new for her to put logic in such things. She even did that, when she came to know about Isshu and Kabir's surname for the first time as well.

"I do pity Kabir for being your boyfriend, sometimes." I said nodding my head looking at her.

"What?" She yelled in disbelief, frowning her face again.

"Just go to bed. It's nearly 11 o'clock already." I signalled her to exit my room with my both hands.

"You are no fun!" Murmuring, she left the room.

Chuckling, I took my phone to call Isshu.

I have many things to discuss with her afterall.

°°°°°°°°

At dot 7 o'clock, we reached to the wide event hall. With my long gown, I entered into it with my nervousness and Ishani, who was beside me. It was my first time attending such 'Richy Rich's party. It was normal to be anxious.

Reaching to the main hallway where the party was going on, I spotted a familiar face looking at my direction directly.

Vansh Rai Singhania.

I felt my heartbeats picked up with nervousness and tension.

I hope, everything goes well.

Chapter - 5

Third Person's Point of View

The evening was silent and comfortable. The students were roaming around the campus. Chatting with each other, they were looking for the next project they needed to complete next. One of the reputed medical colleges in India was expected to be busy all the time. However, today was a bit exception. The last day of the final year students was being celebrated through various activities apart from the studies or professional events.

In the cafeteria, a group of newly turned junior doctors were engaging with each other, while sipping coffee from their plastic cups. The last day before their convocation; the last day before they would be scattered around the world. A man in his early 20's was paying bills for his fellow mates, whereas, others were clicking selfies, including him in the frame.

"Come fast, dude!" 0ne of his classmates called him with a smile on his face.

He looked at him putting a smile on his face, after paying the bill for the last time for his friends. His green eyes were showing sadness for being separated from his classmates, yet happiness sparked for being able to hang out with his friends, after long period of time of their hardship.

"So, what's your plan for the next?" His friend Soumya said to him while checking his phone; he was waiting for his girlfriend to be arriving soon.

"Well for now going home." He replied with a grin on his face.

Can't wait to meet mom after a long time...

***************

Riddhima's Point Of View

The event hall was really wide and spacious. White marvels on the glossy floor were glowing with the yellowish lights coming from the ceiling. The white walls turned glowing off white with the refection of the surrounds. In the middle of the hall, there was a circular stage; light was illuminating from the roof lighting up the whole atmosphere around it. Overall, the decoration was made with purple orchids with white tulips with it. Those were hanging from the wall showcasing the elegant taste of the decorator along with the party owners. I knew why they choosed to stick with white dress code now. Women and men walking around the hallway in off white wearings, were glorifying the beauty of the decoration radiantly.

I must say, they never failed to impress me with their sophistication in choice. I was looking at my surroundings with Isahani and observing the place with my rational mind as much as possible. However, my nervousness was winning against it every time. Just when I spotted, Mr. Rai Singhania coming towards us Ishani got a call in her phone leaving me behind with Mr. Rudra, our head. I controlled my anxiousness and looked at his direction with clear eyes. Coming near us, he stopped on a spot and greeted with a smile.

"Thank you so much for coming today. It is really prestigious for us to be engaged with your NGO." He shook his hand with our head while I gave him a smile of acknowledgement.

In his white attire, he was looking elegant as usual. His perfection for his appearance was clearly showing the hard work on him. In this glowing light his features were getting sharpen from earlier.

Wait... Snap it out, Riddhu!

"I hope you enjoy the party. Though it is nothing but charity. Still I would like to request you to stay longer." He said it while looking at me; his eyes were showing nothing but genuineness.

For a professional person like him, I didnot expect it coming. In my all years of being in this career, I was told to be cautious and meticulous, to understand the needs of the people, whom I worked with. It was kind of new for me to judge all of sudden.

I'm not misinterpreting. Am I?

"Sure. With pleasure." Our head replied; I nodded my head with an agreement.

He was about to say something further, a woman in long off white dress approached him from his behind. She said something in his left ear, before showing her tablet. His eyebrows crocked seeing the screen, before a small grin formed on his sharp face.

"Well, excuse me." Holding it on his hand, he walked out from us.

My eyes were searching for the person, whom I had come with to endure this evening. While my brain was calculating the money that the event organiser had spent to bring out the magnificence from it.

"...Showing off your money to the world, that's what they do..."

I chuckled.

You were not wrong, Sejal.

I noticed a sudden activity on the stage. The light fell off from the roof, on the host. Mr. Vansh Rai Singhania was holding a microphone with his professional smile. Lights began to dim down around us. A projector screen turned on slowly from his behind.

"Finally the purpose of this event has come. With a warm heart and gratitude I, Vansh Rai Singhania welcome everyone who has responded to my call. Thank you so much, ladies and gentlemen for being a part of this charity organisation." Applause of the guests filled in the event hall after his voice.

"Where are you, Isahani?" I murmured while taking my phone from my purse.

"As you all know..." He continued his speech.

Hurriedly, I called Ishani. She wasn't picking up. I was about to go the direction, where she moved on, my eyes caught her walking near us. I stopped calling her after getting her reason for not picking up. It must be the loud noises coming from the background.

"There you are." I said; she gave me a look of apology.

"Sorry, Riddhu. It was urgent." She finished while looking at our front.

She stood beside my right side. One by one, unknown faces with sophisticated attires were coming on the stage. Hearing the speech I got to know about them. Mr. Singhania was introducing his family members to us. I was looking at the other guests. All of their eyes were on them. It was new to me. However, I needed to survive this environment. I looked at Ishani to talk about the thoughts I was having; but controlled myself. Her eyes were on the stage, lips were thin. Which surprise me was the emotions she was having in those blue orbs.

Anger and Resentment?

Ishani didn't like rich people. Was it reflection of that?

**********

Vansh's Point Of View

It was when Angre got a call from his family; he headed out to the parking lot area. They were coming here and he needed to escort them thoroughly. His mother had suffered from dengue recently. Even though, she wanted to attend it. She didn't want to be absent on her friend's named charity.

Our mothers used to be friends once.

Though My mind was stucked with the woman in white, entering the hall. It didn't take me long to respond it. My body began to move of it's own.

What is happening?

Hiding my state of confusion, I walked to them. She and the head was standing there. While Ishani left the place with her phone, before I could go near.

Nice tactics!

I chuckled lowly before standing in front of my guests.

"Thank you so much for coming today. It is really prestigious for us to be engaged with your NGO." I said politely, eyeing her face.

It was me and the Mr. Rudra, who were talking after that. She was nodding her head smilingly. I wanted to talk to her continuously, without knowing the reason of it. While her head's responds were getting into my nerves repeatedly.

Did I catch Angre's virus? What the hell?

Meanwhile, my secretary came holding the guest list on her tablet. Whispering, she asked for my permission.

"Sir, should we start the programme now? Guests have reached already. Press has come as well." I nodded my head while taking it from her.

°°°°°°°

"...With due respect, I would like to introduce my family members, the stars behind this charity. Please welcome, my grandmother, Mrs. Indrani Rai Singhania." With her elegant white outfit she showed up near the stage.

"Uncle and Aunt, respectively, Mr. Rudra Rai Singhania and Mrs. Chanchal Rai Singhania." Uncle came to the stage holding grandma's left hand.

Aunt stayed there behind, clapping her hands with the audience.

"My mother, Anupriya Rai Singhania, without whom I wouldn't have reached this height, today." I paused; the light fell on her smiling face standing beside aunt.

"Last but not least, my sibling and cousin, Siya Rai Singhania and Aryan Rai Singhania who just returned from his medical college competing his degree." The light shined on them.

With his green eyes he looked at everyone holding a grin on his face. Siya was giving her confident smile looking at grandma. On the projector the names of the organisations and the amount of money that they got donated, were showing. Grandma and uncle Rudra were on stage standing beside me.

"The charity, Uma memorial, was established remembering the person herself. She used to love helping others in needs. Thank you so much for coming and making this event successful. I would like to dedicate this beautiful night on the name of my mother, Late. Uma Rai Singhania and father, Late. Ajay Rai Singhania." I smiled while looking at the person who was staring at me directly from the audience.

Her eyes were sparkling listening my words. For some unknown reasons, my heart felt an ease. A warmth spread in my chest; I felt proud of myself. My smile broadened.

I hope, you stay here longer tonight....

°°°°°°°°°

While talking with Aryan and Chanchal aunty, I noticed Ishani going upstairs, on the way to balcony. My smirk got bigger.

I was waiting for this opportunity.

"Excuse me. I'm coming back soon." I said while giving them a nod.

I followed the path silently before getting caught in someone's eyes. The hall was quite bright now. Though this area was mild dark. Looking at the upstairs I began to follow her. She almost reached the place. I was keeping tract on her. Before taking the turn, I eyed my guests for being cautious. None was near.

She was standing beside the balcony guard rods. White and yellow fairy lights were glowing from her back, reflecting on her off white dress. Her face was on the other side; I wasn't being able to see her face from her long hair. Sensing my presence, she looked at my direction.

"Hello, Ishani!" I smirked while looking at her changing expressions.

Anger to pain. Finally rage.

"What are you doing here?" Her voice was hard, burning fire.

"Well, I'm the host. So?" I smirked while putting my weight on the wall near the door.

"Hah. Thanks for letting me know." She replied jeeringly while about to walk out from the place.

"Aren't you going to greet your own twin brother?" I said when she crossed the door.

"Better be alone, than having a brother like you!" She left me with her cold toned statement.

I smirked gazing at the place from the second floor balcony.

Just wait a bit longer, Ishani. The game will be on soon!

********

Riddhima's Point Of View

After taking our dinner, we were having talk with other NGOs. They had been engaged with this charitable trust since the beginning and they were never disappointed by them. It was a good sign. Just when I was about to ask their contacts, Ishani murmured into my ear.

"I'm going to take a call and fresh air. Will make it soon. Okay?" I nodded my head knowing her habit.

Being an introvert it wasn't easy for her to handle crowd for long. She needed to save her energy till we reached our homes. It was better than I thought. Everyone was quite friendly and some of them even told us for collaborations in events. It was a great opportunity to gain popularity for our agency.

More than thirty minutes passed since she left. My worries began to grow again. I looked at my phone. It was 9 o'clock already. We needed to head home now. After dropping me, she had to go further. Without wasting more time, I started to walk on the direction she had headed before. It took me a while, when I noticed her climbing down from the staircase, putting her left hand on her face.

"Isahani, we need to.." I stopped on midway, noticing her mist eyes.

Did she cry?

"Are you okay?" She hold my hand before heading towards the crowd again.

"I'm feeling cold, Riddhu. Let's go home." She replied with a bit shaky voice.

I didn't say anything. Understanding her habit of bottling up her emotions, I let her pulling me with her.

We can talk about it later.

°°°°°°°°°°°

It had been two weeks since that party. The press had done a great job to showcase it to the world. We were getting pretty much offers for fund raising every day. Our head was happy along with the staffs. It wasn't completely fruitless at all.

Smilingly, I headed towards my office cabin, holding the files for my extra works. Today was Friday. Before the end of this weekend I needed to complete it somehow.

While walking on the floor, I noticed a crowd outside of Ishu's cabin. I came near my room.

"What's going on?" I asked my assistant who was standing beside my room's door.

With an initial hesitation she replied, gazing me.

"Ishani ma'am is leaving the organisation. Rai Singhania's hired her."

Wait... What!?

Chapter - 6

Third Person's Point of View

Night wind was coming from the open window. He were standing in front of it. It wasn't something unusual for him to stare at the town from his window, at night. It was silent; half moon was present spreading it's beams. A few vehicles could be seen from there.

"But Vansh, how could you be so sure about that?" A male voice spoke from his behind making him turning back to his companion.

He smirked gulping the liquor with his right hand slowly, before answering him properly.

"It's too suspicious to be a mere coincidence. Don't you think, Rudra uncle?" Vansh let out a small laugh before looking back to the window.

"Yep. You were not completely wrong. But.." He got cut on midway.

"Uncle, in order to be the only king, I need to destroy all my competitors one by one from the root. If they had declared war silently, you needed to throw dynamite at them, before they could even react to it." His smrik got broadened, eyes began to glow.

"So, what will be our next step now?" Rudra waited patiently for his reply.

"Counter strike. After finding out the person in charge we need to sack him." He turned his face.

"If you want to win the battle, you have to keep a track on your enemies." Rudra's face got confused; Vansh let out a chuckle.

"We need to keep them closer within our borders." He finished while looking at his uncle's face of sudden realisation.

*********

Vansh's Point Of View

"So, Mr. Gupta, you are telling me that you are being framed by someone else?" I said while looking at his scared face.

He nodded his head, eying me and Rudra uncle continuously. All the board members were present in this meeting. To save company's reputation and measuring the possible prevention we could take in future if it had happened again, everyone was very much concerned about it.

"However, the evidences are against you. Why would I believe you?" I replied folding my both hands touching my chin.

"Sir, I'm working here for almost 10 years by now. Why would I betray your company who gave me food and shelter?" His face was fear stricken.

"How could we believe that you didn't take money from our opponents? Money can change character within seconds." One of our board members said.

"Have you had any idea what could have happened if we didn't get the information on time? It would have gone to Supreme Court. We could have charged against Civil Rights. How much could we have lost you have any idea?" Another one responded with his cold tone.

"Sir, I..I.." He was about to say something uncle stopped him on his track.

"They are right. You have to terminate your service & turms with us. Place your resignation by afternoon." He declared; Samir Gupta almost let out a cry.

"But, sir..sir.."

"The meeting is dismissed now." I announced before going out from the conference hall; others followed me one by one.

°°°°°°°°

"How are you going to let this matter solve? That NGO can keep an track on us even after that donation event." A member said while sipping tea from his cup.

We were in my office. Rudra uncle was listening us, looking at me. His eyes were eying me closely. I smirked before giving him a response.

"Having big deal with the head. I am going to offer job at our place to show gratitude and let them get some more fund raising through it. Our CSR sector will be on the good lists of our business investors as well. It would lead to sympathy based marketing strategy; public would be pleased. Our industry would go up on stock market." I stated my strategy looking at him.

His face seemed to be pleased and satisfied.

"I approved it." I smiled at his face, gazing at uncle.

His face was showing thoughtfulness, trying to formulate my plan behind it.

Take it slow, uncle. You'll know soon!

I grinned looking back to my phone. The plan must have proceed already.

**********

Riddhima's Point Of View

"She is leaving our organisation, for real?" I was confused, mind browned, dumbfounded.

Ishani who dreamt to work for this company, since our university days, was leaving this place voluntarily. I couldn't believe my ears. As if everything were just an hallucination that I was having it out of the blue.

"Yes ma'am. She got into a heated argument in this morning with our head. However, it was all fruitless. She is leaving; might have placed her resignation already. Like you, everyone is surprised by this sudden turn of events. I heard that they were searching for experienced H.R. and head let out her name. That's how it has gone." She said on one go before leaving me in my room alone.

I hold my palms on my temple, digesting the situation slowly. Apparently, I wouldn't be able to see my best friend from next week. We would be separated from Monday. This thing wasn't gulping from my throat. It was so absurd. Just yesterday, we were having plans for our next week's work schedule.

Just how fast the night changes?

Without wasting more time, I started to work on my projects. I had to finish it earlier. I knew that we had much more things to talk about before her leaving.

°°°°°°°°°°

"Aren't you angry, Ishani?" I asked her, while she was organising her things in the box.

It would take a bit more time for her to finish it. I was helping her with it. She smiled at me before replying me.

"I'm not anymore." I sighed in frustration, hearing her reply, before placing the last item in the box.

"But how could they? Should you be informed prior to this? All of sudden they just decided it for you." It was angering me more; she had her own head to think.

"You know, Riddhu. Money can do anything. It can build you, destroy you, rule you and make you the ruler as well. Never let it control your life. Control it, not let it." Her statements made me confused.

I became silent for a moment. She was paining inside. I knew it, one of her habits of hiding it from the world, talking in philosophical phases and puzzles. Whenever she was at the bottom pit of her life, she always talked in this manner. It would be difficult for others to understand her first. However, being her friends for years, taught me to learn her more.

"It always controlled my life. It doesn't anger me now. That's why I don't want you to face the same." Holding her items she left the room after giving me a smile.

Without saying anything, I followed her behind holding a box full of her items in my hands. It didn't take long since we reached to her car. Placing all her belongings to the backseat, we got in it. I finished my duty earlier and our head let me go knowing Ishani's situation better. The organisation was gaining profit from it. It would do anything for more. Ishani wasn't wrong. Money could control anything.

"Where should we go first? McDonald's or KFC?" She asked while starting the engine.

"Anywhere you want, Ishu." I replied with a small grin, plugging in my seatbelt.

"Let's go!" She drove away her car on the main road.

I was staring outside at the window. For some weird reasons, I was having annoyance against Mr. Rai Singhania. It was irrational and stupid. However, I couldn't let it go from my mind.

Couldn't you hire someone else instead of my best friend?

°°°°°°°°°°

"It's going to be a new beginning of my life, Riddhu. An uncertainty is eating me up inside." Ishu's voice rang into my ears before I looked at her.

Her hair was blowing with the wind. Moonlight was falling on us. Her apartment was luxurious, compared to how much we got every month. It must be from her home that she was spending. Surprisingly, she never talked about them. Considering it further, it made me sad always.

She is a loner. Never asks for company by herself.

Might be that was the reason, she drowned me towards her. None wanted be lonely; that was a fact for human beings.

"Take care of yourself, Ishu. Don't think too much." I kept my hand on her shoulder assuring her safty.

"Thank you, Riddhu. I hope that I would be successful in the end." She murmured looking at the moon.

Nodding my head, making no sound, I kept giving her company, looking at the moon. It was beautifully shining brightly over the clear, grey sky. Fullmoon had passed recently.

Vansh's Point Of View

"Aren't you going home tonight?" I asked on the phone, while folding my sleeves.

Before going to bed, I was reading some files for tomorrow.

"No. I'm not having motivation to go home today." Angre replied with his usual melancholic voice.

"Thinking about that girl still now?" I said with a low chuckle.

"Yaar Vansh! She is dancing in my mind, swimming in my heart and singing in my brain!" He almost yelled on his phone.

Here we go again with his weird description....

"Yes. The girl, you never talk with, is singing in your brain. Well.." I surpassed my laughter hearing him.

"You won't understand! Have you even fallen in love, truly?" He shot his anger with words.

"Remember, I used to have girlfriend before. Twice." I placed my file on the table.

"Hah! Yeah right! Still don't understand having butterflies in stomach, flowers before eyes. A stone hearted lad!" His reply let me out my laughter.

"Over dramatic!"

"Over dramatic!? You will understand my feelings when you fall in love, for real. You will be that desperate alike me right now. Mark my words! I'm hanging up now."

"Hey wait!" He cut the call before I could react; I chuckled loudly.

"Having butterflies in stomach..." I remembered that day, when she looked at me with her doe eyes.

A smile formed on my face, remembering her, before realisation hit me, I paused on my track.

I'm definitely getting Angre's virus for sure!

°°°°°°°°°°°

Curtains were flipping; room was lighten up brightly. Every member of the board was present, witnessing the stage I had plotted. Rudra uncle was standing beside me, with his impatient expressions. I smirked while eying all of them.

The door opened; a lady in her mid 20's came in. In her pastel blue formal outfit with a ponytail on top she stood on a particular spot. Everyone's eyes were on her; hers were on mine. She gave me a tight smile; I gave her a broad grin.

"Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce our new employee of H.R. department and my sister, Ishani Rai Singhania." My voice echoed in the room, before noise began to form.

"Welcome Ishani to Rai Singhania's!" I smirked.

"Thank you for welcoming me, Vansh Bhai." She smirked me back.

The game is on!

Chapter - 7

Third Person's Point of View

Morning Sun rays were coming from the window. Blue curtains were moving gently. A man in his late 50s was standing in front of it. Holding his coffee mug with his left hand, he put his phone in another one. His face was serious, calm, yet a satisfaction was dancing in those brown eyes. The expensive, green framed power glasses was reflecting shining rays on the white walls. A golden ring was placed on his ring finger; glowing rays were also touching it randomly.

"So what's now?" He asked the person putting a smile, looking at his coffee mug, blinking his eyes silently.

His face was clean with properly groomed beard. Hair was a bit longer, touching his neck.

"Okay. Inform me time to time to time." Cutting the call, he sipped from his mug.

His face was straight; eyes were gazing the outside mountain ranges. A glint of infuriating hatred came out from them.

Finally the show has begun!

**********

In a room, decorated with various room decor of red and golden colours, a man was sitting beside the window. He was in a white kurta; his black power glasses were reflecting the sunlight coming outside of the window. His face was serious, confused; eyes were formulating theories. With his thoughtful expression, he looked at another person present there, standing beside him. He was looking at him with gloomy face as well. He was in his late 20's whereas, winkles were visible on another one's face.

"What should we do next?" The young man asked with same expression.

"Measure the steps." He replied thoughtfully.

I'll get, what I want, no matter what it takes!

Falling Sundays fell on his gold ring, spreading it's beams through out the room.

Vansh's Point Of View

"This is your office, Ishani. I hope, we can get along." I said with a grin on my face, looking in her eyes.

She nodded her head with her tight smile, after eying both me and Rudra uncle for a moment. Another moment didn't spend, before Rudra uncle hold my hand, giving me signal to talk in private. I was about to reply. However, one of board members called me with his smile of acknowledgement.

"I must say Mr. Rai Singhania, your business skill is amazing. Not only you just save our fund, but also you have hired someone who can keep an eye on that department. Chances of repeating the same mistake have declined." I smiled while nodding my head.

"Afterall, it's about our company. Mr. Kapoor." I replied; he nodded his before leaving the room with us.

After coming out from the conference hall, I with Rudra uncle went inside my office. Telling the secretary to put 'do not disturb' mode for our meeting via phone, I sat on my chair. He did the same.

°°°°°°°°

"I have already told you about it, uncle. In order to defeat them, I need to keep them closer to me. If she starts working here, we will able keep an eye on her actions. Wouldn't it be helpful?" I said while looking at him.

"I understood it, Vansh. But don't you think that she will claim for the property? Right now only Siya is claiming it. She can do too. Afterall that was the reason, you guys fell apart." He responded looking directly into my eyes.

"Is there any proof that she isn't doing it right now or Siya, Ishani aren't together against us? We need to find out before they can attack." I replied; he nodded his head with an agreement.

"Uncle, there will be only one king. That is me." I grinned looking directly into his thoughtful, formulating eyes.

°°°°°°°°°°°

"So she is coming to office these days. Why not in home?" Mom asked while folding the clothes into my closest.

I smiled, turning my face from my laptop screen. It was evening 8. The house was quite quiet compared to other days. Siya and Aunt went shopping with grandma for awhile now. Mom was having fatigue last week. In doctor's order, she was resting since then; couldn't go out with them.

"Ask her." I replied, smirking.

"And you left her alone. What kind of brother are you?" She angrily slapped the closest doors.

Oh shit!

"As if she would have listened to me." I snorted loudly.

"You people are too stubborn! None is less from another." She murmured while organising my bed sheet.

"Mom, the house employees can do that. Why are you making yourself tired?" I sighed, looking at her straight face.

"Because I'm bored and you are making me angry." She pouted with annoyance.

I was about to say something, my phone began to ring. I looked up for the caller id. It was from Angre. I cut the call, gulping my saliva. Mom never liked attending phone, when we had conversation. She was already angry. I didn't want to make her more.

Always at wrong timing!

"Who is it?" Mom asked, coming near me.

"Angre. Just for rumbling about anything." I replied speculating her mood.

I was on danger zone right now.

"Oh. I didn't see him for a long time. Tell him to came sometimes." She said smilingly looking at me; I sighed in relief.

Out of danger zone.

"I'm telling him everyday. But he is busy with his girl's problems." I smiled.

"Still not got over his break up? It had been years now." She exclaimed in surprise.

"No. Not his ex. It's the new one." I replied turning my head to the file.

"New one?"

"Yes. New one who's name he doesn't know. He never talked to her. But that girl is singing in his head these days. Can you believe him? I should have brought him to doctors." I chuckled while typing on my laptop.

Mom laughed out loud. I joined her too.

"May be he just fell in love with her at first sight. You never know." She said after controlling her initial reaction.

"Love... yeah right! Even because of him I'm getting weird thoughts these days." I murmured mockingly.

"Wait what? Are you having girl's problems too?" I stopped my typing, looking at her face.

She narrowed her eyes with a her thin, mischievous smile.

"So who's is it? Don't you dare to lie or dodge my question." She shut my excuses.

I put myself in my own grave. Damn it!

"Nothing..just.."

"Who is she?" I looked at her firm face.

I couldn't escape from her.

"Riddhima Kapoor. I met her almost one month ago for work purpose. Since then she isn't leaving my head." I replied.

"Why?" She responded.

"I don't know, honestly. It's just...just.. whenever I look at her I can't take my eyes off. A weird kind of hypnotism. I must have gone mad. Nothing else." I confessed.

"No. It's not madness, but attraction. You are being pulled by her charms. More specifically, you are falling for her." She finished her talk looking at me.

"Impossible! I'm not a person to fall for so easily. My others relationships.." She stopped me on midway.

"Don't compare it to Malini and Ragini. Every love, relationship start off differently. May be you have never fallen in love this fast before. But time is changing. Sometimes we feel connections with some people, as soon as we set our eyes on them, without our knowledge. Until we realise." Her words made me stopped.

"Isn't she special from others, that you have met before?" Her smile let me skipped a beat.

I stopped moving; became still for a moment.

"Think Vanshu, think! Before someone else knots his hands with her." She got up from my bed before leaving me dumbfounded.

"Mom, don't call me that!" I yelled after getting my senses back; I heard her chuckle from the doorstep.

I couldn't deny mom completely. Riddhima was indeed different. Whenever I met her, I always became self conscious. Remembering her smiling face my heart began to beat faster.

"...knots his hands with her."

A sudden rage filled in me out of the blue. Shockingly, I discovered my reality.

Am I really falling for her?

Third Person's Point of View

Evening dramas were showing on the television. A woman in her late 50s with her husband in same age group, were laughing together watching. They were lost in their own world; until a girl in her mid 20's entered the house, putting off her shoes. Her face was tired; hair was messy. Holding her hand bag, she came closer to them.

"I'm having dinner early today. I'm going to freshen up." She left holding her phone, keeping her eyes on the screen.

"Okay." Her mother replied, while her father looked at her direction.

"Did you speak to her about your friend's son? She doesn't have someone of her own. Does she?" Her father asked.

"I guess no. She didn't say anything about it. Sejal didn't know about it either." She replied.

"Then let's talk to Riddhima this weekend." He proposed the deal to his wife; she nodded her head, before leaving for the kitchen.

*********

It had been almost a month since he met that girl, who stole his sleep from eyes. He couldn't stop thinking about those sparkling eyes, glowing smile, firmed, self esteemed filled face. Those were pulling him. He couldn't eat, sit, walk, work without having thought of her. She was ruling his heart, mind and brain, slowly becoming his reason to live. At least that's what he was thinking.

He met her for the first time, on a road crossing. He was driving his car. Her pastel pink salwar suit was matching with her skin tone, radiantly, which caught his attention immediately. She was helping a passenger who was stepping down from the bus. She almost fought for her against the person who was harassing that poor lady. Her that behaviour marked a mark in his mind. He always admired the women who helped another women in need.

Snapping out from her thoughts, pulling off the car, he got down in a hurry. His best friend hired new employee yesterday. He needed to meet that person. It was an issue with personnel management, that he needed to discuss with. Stepping inside the department, he came in front of the main office. Knocking the door twice, he entered the room. But paused on his track; got the biggest shock in his life.

With a white formal outfit, a woman was sitting on her chair. Smilingly, she looked at him from her laptop screen. Her straight, black hair was groomed in a ponytail; blues eyes inspecting him thoroughly.

"You must be Angre Aluwaliya. Nice to meet you. I'm Ishani Rai Singhania, new H.R. head of Rai Singhania's." Her voice brought him back to reality.

His world began to shine.

Finally, I found you, my angel!

Chapter - 8

Third Person's Point of View

"Want to have some water? You are working on the case for hours now." A boy in his early 20's asked another one of his age.

"Wait. Just a little more." Another one replied with his smile holding his note book in his hand.

With his left hand, he was turning the page whereas, his other hand was busy taking the notes. It was not easy to memorise a whole law book; on the top of that, when you are a trainee under your favourite professor's law farm. On the other hand, his classmate a.k.a best friend was with him working on other project assigned by the same professor. A girl, same age as them, entered into the study room, holding a book in her left hand. Her thick, black hair was open, hanging on her shoulder. Her long, blue skirt was glowing with her dark pink tank top.

"You guys asked me for it." She let the book on the table in front of them.

"Thanks, Ahu!" He replied with a grin while writing.

"I'll be outside. Come and find me at lunch time." She left them behind, after getting greetings from both of them.

"What about this case?" The short man asked his tall friend, while running his hair into his short, thick, black hair frustratingly; his green shirt was matching with the blue jeans.

"I will.." He got cut off on midway; his phone was ringing loudly.

Looking at the caller id, his face turned serious. Sighing deeply, he picked the call. His white formal shirt was going well with the white formal trousers.

"Yes mom." His voice was hard; seeing him, his friend understood the situation quickly.

"No mom. Please stop now. I'm not going back and I'm feeling much better here." He cut the call immediately without listening the other side.

"Anything wrong?" His friend asked.

"Yaar Pingle, I don't understood why she has to call me all the time, for the same thing! I just don't want to go back to that house. I just.." His voice interrupted again; another call was coming.

"Again.. I told he.." His anger melted seeing the caller id; smile formed on his lips.

"Hey babu Sejal!"

"Don't babu me, Kabir!" He blasted out in laughter, hearing her response.

Pingle started doing his work, listening his friend's nonsensical love talk, amidst of his friend's sudden mood change.

**********

Vansh's Point Of View

I was walking on the parking lot coming from my office. The weekend was approaching. For me it was a great opportunity to sneak out to meet her. Since Ishani's joining our office, it had been almost two weeks. She was handling the H.R. department skillfully. The board members were pleased to talk with her as well. However, the tension was still intact and it was fueling me more to execute the plan that I was forming. Though, I was busy on those purpose, I still couldn't forget the person behind my sleeplessness these days.

Riddhima Kapoor.

Since mom's conversation with me two weeks ago, I wasn't being able to focus on anything. Even Angre was giving me weird looks these days; I didn't know whether it was me or his was having grudges against me for some reasons.

Well, nevermind. It's not new from him!

I couldn't share my newly found feelings with anyone before confirmation. I needed to get proper validation, a proper one.

I was entering into Ishani's former office, with the agenda of meeting with her. Though I didn't let her know about it; I just made the plan yesterday evening before calling the head to visit this office. I would be present here as a guest only.

Walking near the head's room, I opened the door after knocking twice. I wasn't hoping for the surprise as I met her eyes while entering the room. She was wearing a pastel green long salwar suit with her black hair, loosely falling on shoulder. Holding two files, she left the place after giving me a smile of acknowledgement.

°°°°°°°°°°

"Would you like to go out for a coffee? It's Saturday and office is over. I didn't know this place well and don't have company either. So?" I approached her, while she was walking out from the office building.

"Umm sure. I needed to go out now. But it's fine. Can wait for it. I know a coffee shop nearby. We can go there." She smiled while replying me; I grinned in ecstasy before following her.

The Sun was setting, spreading it's beams for the last time to the nature. Vehicles were running; noises coming from the road. I was walking beside her, while she was looking in front. Within 5 minutes on foot, we reached our destination. Entering in it, we came near a seat to sit. We were sitting face to face.

It had white walls, with golden light. Most of the tables were empty, due to office time that wasn't finished yet.

"Should we go for our order?" She asked looking at me.

I got dumbstruck for a moment getting glimpses of her. Setting rays of the Sun was coming from the transparent, glass wall beside us. Her black hair was shining under the beams. Sunshine passed through some of her hair locks, kissing her fair cheeks, rosy lips. Her dark brown eyes became lighter; a magic bloomed in those.

What was this sorcery that I was compellingly pulling towards her?

The validation I needed so far, I just got it. Mom was right. I am falling...no no. I have fallen for her. Harder than I thought and more passionate than I could ever imagine!

"You know the best. I want to see your choice." I said, overcoming the sensation.

She halted for a moment before giving me a grin. She got up from the seat for placing our orders. I looked at her, smiling eye to eye.

I'll confess my feelings for you today. I'll ask you out, not going to delay anymore!

°°°°°°°°°°°

"It was nice. Thank you Ms. Kapoor for suggesting this place." I said looking at her smiling face.

We were near the parking lot ready to go out from here. However, before that I had to say my feelings to her.

"Ms. Kapoor..." I got cut off on the midday; her phone was ringing.

"Just a moment. Hello!" She replied; I waited for her.

It was 5 o'clock of evening. The Sun was almost gone.

"Sure. Where are you right now?" She began to move, looking here and there.

"Okay. I found you." Waving her left hand, she called the person.

I looked at the direction and found a man in his 20's probably. He was wearing casual black and blue clothes. Coming near us, he hung up the call.

"Sorry. I had completely forgotten about it." Riddhima said apologising to him.

"It's fine. Work, I can understand. By the way, who is this gentleman? I couldn't recognise." The man said looking at me.

"He is from our workplace. Mr. Vansh Rai Singhania." Letting her finishing her sentence, I shook my hand with him; we let our hands go once we were done.

"Well, nice to meet you, Mr. Singhania. I'm Manash Kudra. Her blind date." His words stabbed my heart; a known feeling of rage and annoyance filled in my chest.

Looking at her eyes which were looking at him began to accelerate those emotions more.

"..Before someone else knots his hands with her."

Moms words rang in my head.

Would I lose you, Riddhima?

********

Riddhima's Point Of View

"His name is Manash Kudra. His is P.O in Central Bank of India right now. His family is our known and their background is pretty convincing. Let's meet him once. He is free today. You can meet him after your office hours." Mom said looking at me from her breakfast plate.

Dad and Sejal were observing and anticipating some reactions from me. To be honest, I had never thought about it seriously till now. Whatever they said I agreed to do in this matter. They knew about Sejal and Kabir's relationship; approved him as well. However, my life was boring one, no unnecessary drama nor love life. Therefore, I nodded my head in agreement. They smiled in relief before digging in to the food. However, Sejal gave me an expression of sadness.

I chuckled lowly.

°°°°°°°°°°°

"It was nice. I must say Ms. Kapoor, your choice is pretty elegant." He complimented before we reached near the parking lot.

"Thank you, Mr. Singhania. It was nice talking to you." I didn't lie.

Might be after a long time, I had such good, intellectual conversation with someone. He was smart, sophisticated and considerate. I didn't feel a single moment of boredom spending time with him. I smiled at him; he returned it back. It would be a lie if I had say, that I wasn't surprised, when he proposed me for a cup of coffee. I was hesitant. But thinking about Ishani, her workplace relation with him and our office, I had agreed to go with him.

Out of the blue my phone began to ring. Looking at the caller id I got my memory back.

Manash!

"Just a moment, hello!" He was near and it wasn't hard to find him.

He came near us; met him and greeted him.

"Well, nice to meet you, Mr. Singhania. I'm Manash Kudra, her blind date." On that point, I couldn't hear anything.

Words weren't coming in my ears. 'Blind date' sounded so unfamiliar and unfortunate to me out of sudden. Besides, his eyes turned darker from shining hue. Sudden change of vibe turned my happy moments upside down. He bidded adios, looking in my eyes directly with same darkness in those. My stomach sank; heart started rioting.

What is happening?

**********

Third Person's Point of View

The room was all lit up brightly. Red curtains were moving slowly with the gentle breeze, coming from the open window. A man in his formal black outfit was looking at the younger woman who was holding a branch of papers with her both hands. Another woman in her near 70's was eying both of them from a corner of the room.

"So, you are telling me to sign this. This paper?" Her voice was igniting fire, fire of betrayal.

"Yes Siya. Sign this and you can be the owner of your own company." His voice was manly, smirking at her.

"What a great idea to kick me out from our company and property, Vansh bhai!" She gritted her jaw glaring at him.

"Siya, child, please obey Vansh's word and finish this never ending war between you two. Please." Older woman was pleading.

"No dadi (grandma)! Never! I'll get what I rightfully own!" She took the lighter from the near table.

Before both of them could react, she began burning those papers with it.

"SIYA!" Both of them shouted; however, she left the room, throwing those paper on the floor.

Those burned till the last moment, before Vansh came near it. His eyes were on those, eyes reflecting the rage in them.

A figure witnessed everything from a distance, from beginning to end; silently, slowly that person left keeping an eye on the girl, who left the room a minute ago.

°°°°°°°°°°

"What did he think of himself? I would be silent after it? No. No, Mr. Vansh Rai Singhania! I'm not backing off from it like I did years ago. I would expose everything before the world. I would show, how Rai Singhania's children are getting subjugated through out their lives. I'll show the real face of you, Vansh bhai! I'll!" Her outburst came out when she reached in her room; she began to dial her phone hurriedly.

"Reporter Saxena? I want to held a press conference this Monday. Call everyone, I need to announce something important." Her eyes were burning in dark pain and fury.
