Eoin Morgan's England and resurgent Sri Lanka will lock horns with each other

England have been one of the best sides in the tournament so far. 

They haven’t lost a single game in the Super-12 stage. 

On the other hand, Sri Lanka are coming into this game on the back of two consecutive losses against Australia and South Africa. 

Therefore, they are currently sitting at number four in the point table of Group 1.

After thrashing bitter-rivals Australia in their previous fixture, Morgan's England side will hope to extend their dominant run at the ICC World T20 2021. 

A win over Sri Lanka can strengthen England's bid to top Group 1 in the Super 12s stage. 

Sri Lanka succumbed to pressure in their previous game against South Africa as Tabraiz Shamsi-inspired Proteas side outclassed the former champions by 4 wickets. 

Pathum Nissanka top-scored for the Lankan Lions in Sri Lanka's previous fixture.

 Wanindu Hasaranga also stunned the Proteas with his bowling masterclass, although his heroics went

 in vain. 

With the four-wicket defeat to their name, the Dasun Shanaka-led side has taken the fourth spot in Group 1 with just 2 points from 3 matches.

The pitch in Sharjah is expected to be on the slower side, making it difficult for the batters to score runs at will.

If eng will win this then they will be in the semi finale. 

The surfaces in Sharjah have been the slowest out of the three tournament venues, which has made batting tricky and led to par scores of around 140. Spin has understandably been hard to get on top of although that has largely been because of the low bounce; there hasn't actually been huge amounts of turn on display.
