All eyes are now on the much awaited Ind--Pak match on October 24th. 

Cricket to us was more than play, it was a worship !!

 Fine pitch, critical bouncers, twist and turns, sweeps and lofts and running shoes all around. 

A game of elite class as well as exciting spirit with a billion strong fan-base worldwide. 

 If a cricket match is involved, the average Indian will take a rain check for most things.  This is the country where children idolize cricketers and each child dreams of being the next legend in world of cricket.

The T20 World Cup will take place in the UAE and Oman in a total of 4 venues — Muscat, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah this year.

The tournament is scheduled to begin on October 17, i.e today with the qualifying rounds. India kicks off their T20 World Cup campaign against Pakistan on October 24. 

Mahendra Singh Dhoni is back in to Team India dugout--as mentor for World Cup. 

From October 23, the Super 12 round will start, and this will end on November 8. The knock-out round of the T20 World Cup 2021 will start on November 10 and the final of the tournament is set to take place on November 14.

Kohli’s side will open their campaign in a blockbuster Super12 encounter against Pakistan in Dubai on 24 October.  

Apart from Pakistan, India have been pooled with Afghanistan and New Zealand in Group 2, as well as two sides who progress from Round 1 of the tournament, beginning on 17 October.

The top two teams in each group of the Super12 stage progress to the semi-finals, with the final set to be played in Dubai on 14 November.

Cricket in India is more than a sport; it’s a way of life. I still remember summer vacations of my school days that were spent with countless hours of cricket watching, with breaks for lunch. The only reason play was called off was when we went past our curfew limit.😃

Cricket telecasts, especially when India was playing, was an occasion for a family get-together. For that matter any match which consisted of evenly-matched teams was fair game. The passion for the game runs through the veins of every Indian. It is his nirvana. It is his idea of a day spent well.

I will be able to watch important matches played at 3:30 PM on any day and at 7:30 PM on only Fridays and Saturdays. 👍🏼
