I'd credit the director for extracting an excelent performance.

auditions are rarely that great, its mostly the director and all the people behind the scenes that extract the appealing performance

I know this is unpopular opinion but Pratik Gandhi as Harshad Mehta was not convincing at all. The web show was mediocre too.
